A treasure trove of useful information, maps, guide books, and a great souvenir shop too. The people that work there are friendly, and knowledgeable. Close to Joshua Tree National Park. They also have info for all of California. A must for first time visitors.

An interesting place to stop. It has local artists and is more focused on the area than just the parks. People are nice and there is plenty of parking with clean bathrooms. It's worth a stop to see what they have, if you like to shop local artists, etc. It's great to have that much parking available and it is a good place to chill for a minute on a longer drive.

I moved to Yucca Valley a year and half ago. And I did not know all the wonderful selection of souvenirs this store had to offer. Along with the selection of Sees candies available.

It was pretty neat. The ladies there were really friendly and prices were exceptional. I walked in thinking it would be really expensive but it was actually pretty reasonable. I got lots of fun souvenirs to bring back to my home of Portland Oregon and am super excited to share my trip experience with everyone I love

Lots of info and cool stuff to buy if you want. Be aware, the prices are a little high for most of the items, but it is a non-profit and proceeds help keep Joshua Tree and other important local landmarks running. Plus the staff is knowledgable and friendly

The California Welcome Center, located in beautiful and scenic Yucca Valley should be everyone's first stop on their California deserts adventure as they travel through Yucca Valley and beyond! The California Welcome Center has all the information, brochures, maps, historical info that you need to make your travels a great experience-loads of brochures! They have info on Yucca Valley,Pioneertown,Joshua Tree National Park,29 Palms and information about locations throughout California! The staff here is friendly, courteous and informative-they also have a Great gift and memoribilia store that features local artist and unique souvenirs, memoribilia and clothing items! Theres lots of free parking and plenty of space for you to pull through with your RV,truck, camper, off road vehicle, car, van and motorcycle. They are open everyday, including Sunday when I visited. The Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce is here as well with additional services and info-all in one stop! They also have a local Festival Of The Arts display with pieces from the winning artists as well! Have a great trip! . . . . #californiawelcomecenter #yuccavalley #joshuatree #joshuatreenps #joshuatreenationalpark #pioneertown #29palms #29palmshwy #yuccavalleyarts #thejellydonut #iloveyuccavalley #canoncameras #nikoncameras #leicacameras #sonycameras #waynesalvatti #seetheusa #photografxworldwide #ilovejoshuatree #californiadreamin #californiadreaming #seecalifornia #california #californiaroads #deserts #amboy #roysmotelandcafe #shopyuccavalley #greatfood

Great welcome center. Tom is very knowledgeable and helpful. Clean restrooms, lots of paved parking behind building, electric car charging station, good supply of handouts as well as maps for purchase. They had some very good backcountry maps of the area produced by a local resident. The entrance from the street into the lot may pose a problem for some long, low clearance RV's as there is a bit of a grade.

We arrived 3 minutes before closing. While they continued their closing we didn't feel rushed. Still friendly & informative. Even watched a Ranger give the oath to a couple of Junior Rangers then the whole Center broke out in applause.

It's OK. Great that they have EV charging, but it would really be nice if they were even low end 25kw DC chargers, as then you could justify a 30 minute stop. Note to the local chamber of commerce - EV charging in the area is important. Think gas prices.

There are several of these scattered around the state. They are a great place to get info on all the things to do in that region. They have hundreds of free brochures and maps for various parks, restaurants tours and stores. Many of them you have to pay for at the attractions. Also have all kinds of arts and crafts by local artisans for sale, plus the usual tourist tchotchkes. Always a good place to check out, especially if you have never been to the area. Also good for a pit stop, have nice bathrooms.
