Not sure if it’s because it’s low season and there is less maintenance but we went snorkeling at this beach through SLUDGE AND TRASH. it was absolutely disgusting. There was some coral and fish but most of the water was murky with white slime looking thing but the worst parts are when you go in and get out of the water. There is trash everywhere and it just hits you in the face while you’re swimming through. I can’t believe how gross the water was.

A public beach which was more like a private one due to very less crowd. This is the beach for people who love more calm and less crowded place. The sunset bar in this beach is very beautiful and a nice restaurant for sunset lovers.

The beach is a bit dirty, lots of plastic rubbish. but it's not that bad, you can see in my video and photos that the sea water still looks bright blue which is pleasing to the eye. On the outskirts of Oantai there are also many stalls selling food that can be enjoyed while looking at the sea view.

Public pier is also available to whom who want to visit Gilis or even to Bali with affordable price.

The beach next to the pier is filled with locals and no tourists in site with a lot of trash. The locals are mostly Muslim so if you’re wearing a dress or bikini they will stare at you and men will try to talk to you even though you’re at THE BEACH ?!?! Anyways if you want to go to a nice part of the beach you should turn RIGHT from the pier and walk after the boats and through a small bridge and you’ll reach an area with resorts where the beach is empty and the water is nice and clear so you can spend some quality time at the beach there. There is also a big resort with a huge nice swimming pool and tanning chairs, they charge 150k per person minimum spend and you can spend the day there :)

Ok beach but too crowded with all the stuff. Million blankets on the floor for someone to come, million weird looking kayaks, million vendors selling you "unique" bracelets. The right side is a lot more nice and quite but has no shade. Be prepared the entrance is set up like a tunnel where they can sell you stuff from both sides 😅

Ate here yesterday, out of season with few visitors around. Despite the lack of customers, our food was beautifully fresh, interesting and tasty. We had fishcakes made to order in the kitchen (not ready-frozen), spicy papaya salad and tofu vegetable salad. The food was way better than we had any right to expect from a tourist beach-side café.
