Very tasty burgers, would have liked mine a bit more well-done. Good cheese curds, different coating than other places. Small menu but a few other things I'm looking forward to trying on future visits!

We saw this tavern in an Instagram post and had to try it. It was more than worth the drive! The food was fresh and delicious. My 10 year old loved the burger and the fresh chips. I had cheese curds, and they were delicious.

1st time eating here...nice atmosphere...not too big. Enjoyed an order of cheese curds...delicious! Also had a Bixenberg burger with beer cheese..very good! Cheese curds and burger were served piping hot. I opted for the broccoli slaw..pleasantly surprised at how tasty this was...very fresh 🙂 Limited menu which, in my opinion, is preferred....they make fewer things really well...not a lot of items mediocre. Flynn, one of the owners, was the server while we were there..this guy was on the go making sure everyone had what they needed...great job! Looking forward to returning.

Quality is the moto here. Have been 3 times now and everything I’ve had is great. Clean throughout, great staff, good drinks, exceptional food/ apps. By far my favorite spot in the area.

Bixenberg is a fantastic refresh of an older place that's been there forever. BUT, it is head and shoulders above what you may have experienced in the past. Their 'smashburger' may well be the best burger in the area. And, they have an excellent selection of fresh craft beers, including some of the local brews.

Stopped here for lunch today (Saturday). Excellent location, super cozy vibe, & great food. Tap variety is above average! Had the burger of the month which was jalapeño popper - so delicious. Cheese curds were a hit as well. Highly recommend. We will be back!

We stopped in here the night before my brother’s wedding with a large group of about 30 people. The bartenders were very kind and welcoming to us and played along with our costumes and shenanigans. It was probably a bit of a surprise to see such a huge group come in unannounced, but the whole staff made for a fun and exciting atmosphere. Thanks to Bixenberg Tavern for helping us to kick off an awesome wedding weekend!

Excellent food and great service! Cute, cozy little place for a burger & beer. Smash jalapeño burger super tasty! The other sandwiches & apps our group had were good, too. We will be back.

Loved the renovations. Fish Fry was crispy seasoned light battered with french fries, bread/butter, broccoli slaw and lemon. Quick service, comfy atmosphere.

Locals support locals, right? Just happen to notice this place and oh boy, glad we did. Can't wait to go again! The burgers ... oh my God! And, I'm not a huge burger person. Also, so cute, they brand them. We sat in the dining area but it looks like if you sit in the bar to eat, you can see them prep/cook food. Think I'll do that next. Would seem fun! One more thing. Be sure to try the Flammkuchen app. Never have seen this at any restaurant and it's a mouthful of joy! 😁

A decent everyday, local, type of bar/restaurant likely to be found in Southeastern WI. Great food, small selection, but that is how they make it so great. Cheese curds were unique in flavor, unlike any other place. The Bixenburger is a "smash" burger, a lot like Culvers. Excellent atmosphere overall, a little strange walking in and seeing the kitchen though. Service was slow, I think there was only 1-2 staff for the entire place though.
