Food is good but only 2 stars because of hidden charges. Service charge and some kind of charity scheme added automatically to the bill. If you wish to be a money grabbing company you are welcome. Doesn’t work for me as a customer. With these charges the food becomes very expensive. Won’t be visiting again.

This place is way too expensive for my liking plus they add a service charge and a carbon free dining charge to the bill, whatever that is?? Food I would say was average for the cost, 2 omelettes and 2 small glasses of fresh orange £33 wow! Staff, quick on getting the menus to us but took 10mins to take the order, then had to put on our jackets and stand to get the bill, need to be a bit more pleasant also to be honest, service with a smile would have been nice. I certainly won't be coming back here, other places locally serving as good food for a lot less cost. Appeared to be a I'm it your $#/£ venue.

We dined in as a party of 3 plus a baby to have brunch. It had good plant based options. I ordered the plant based breakfast. It was good. The service was friendly and quick and the decor in the restaurant was cool. The other two in our parry had Buddha bowls which were tasty. Slightly on the expensive side.

Extremely slow service, odd as we were the only two people seated. Four members of staff listening to one member of staff talking about were to place the bananas, all distracted. Had two wave three times to get served... 99p added to bill, OPTIONAL???? FOR CARBON FREE DINING.....I wasn't given any option........ Suggestion......do the banana training when closed. Nice decor, shame about the service.

Very slow service - lunchtime. Took 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken and they said they couldn't take the food order until the drinks were delivered to our table which took another 10 minutes. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the food. A 10% service charge was automatically added to our bill.

I bought sandwiches from here on Sunday, it's now wednesday and I'm sure they'll still be laughing at me! The food was nice but i was charged £40.50 for 3 breakfast sandwiches and a coke i have no idea how they can justify these prices! AVOID!

Came here for breakfast. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. We were given a table that perfectly fit our needs and had a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

My wife organised a surprise birthday party for me using AK as a private venue. The evening couldn’t’t have been any better. A lovely welcome for all the guests. The food, service & atmosphere were all perfect; a most memorable evening. A special “thank you” to Forbes and the staff for looking after us so well. See you soon

The staff were lovely and friendly but for me the food was below par. The omelette was rubbery and oily and not what I was expecting at all. Rather than cooking the mushrooms within the omelette it was flat and folded over. This stops the omelette being fluffy and it wasn't enjoyable. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

Stopped by with my partner on our way home from a holiday in the Lake District. We were attracted by the fact that they cater for Vegans (I'm vegan). We were greeted on arrival and as we hadn't booked the only table they had for us was in the middle of two other couples and we were very close (more on that to follow). The food was outstanding - I had the Plant Breakfast with extra avocado, my partner had the Salmon and Cheshire eggs. Both were impeccably cooked and very generous portions. The only slight negative was the coffee, it was quite bland - not sure why this was. The food is quite pricey here, but it is very good quality and the service was quick and efficient. The real negative was how close the tables are together. One of the couples we sat next to were some of the most aggressively pretentious people I've ever had the misfortune of being within earshot of. They were banging on about how they avoid seed oils and their microbiomes, which mantras they were using and how a podcast had changed one of their lives. It made for an extremely uncomfortable dining experience. I would like to think this wouldn't happen to most people and we were unlucky. All in all I would recommend April's for the food and the service but unless you like being sat on top of people and having to listen to their conversation then I would avoid it.

Called in for a late breakfast with my wife as we both had a day off. We both had a wonderful Full English breakfast and as usual, the food was brilliant. Highly recommended!

Sjll atmosphere Carbon Charge in top of service charge which BTW was average at best I won't be paying your carbon charge or service charge again as I won't be revisiting Plenty of other places to enjoy.

Quite possibly the worst cup of coffee I've had in the last 20 years. Tasted like it came from a vending machine in a bus station. Over-priced as well. Won't be returning.

Sat in heated outdoor room, service was very good. Pancakes tasted very nice but were a little dry, lashings of maple syrup required!

The perfect breakfast before setting off and travelling down south, very generous portions in the full English but not too much. The coffee was very good too, I just wish I had taken a picture of the food before it was gone. 10/10

Lovely place to stop for a coffee or a milkshake. The drinks were really well presented and the service was friendly and efficient too. The lunch menu looked good but sadly we only had time for drinks.

Very tasteless food, no seasoning at all used in both our dishes. We had to send back but didnt want to bother with a replacement. Manager/waitress understanding but unfortunately wont be back

A bit disappointed today. Nice styling, nicely presented food however - wrong drinks delivered 3 times, waiting staff not that attentive, a pancake “stack” is normally more than 2 pancakes, pancakes were also bland and a bit tasteless, we were expecting croissants to be warm but they were served stone cold and no better quality than those in the co-op garage, and although really good quality butter was served, the cheapest most tasteless jam was included in a plastic service station type packet. There are good things about April’s but there are a lot of things that could be improved to make me choose it over all the other Knutsford options for the price.

Last minute Saturday brunch! Great place and we preferred to dine in the tables outside with heating! Huevos Rancheros with a side of sausages was amazing! Oh and decaf oat lattes were tasty!

Great tea and nice food. All you need. Staff lovely too.

Our daughter celebrated her birthday here recently with a large group of her friends. Very friendly staff & the food was delicious plus a great atmosphere. Definately a returning customer !!
