Surprisingly good German food in Merida. Nice change. Excellent service. Sports bar tvs, baseball playoffs tonight. Also a nice surprise. The wurst didn't look that good. But the schweinnebraten was delicious with perfect mashed potatoes (real butter) and sweet red cabbage. And the warm apfel strudel with real vanilla ice cream and whipped cream was also good.

La Bierhaus was on my list of places to check out on my Mexico excursion. I was curious how a German restaurant would be in the Yucatan, knowing how Germans have a rich cultural heritage in the country. That being said, the place is impressive and has a good catalogue of bier to choose from. The service leaves a little to be desired, as it seemed difficult at times to get another pint and order food, but the food itself and the vibes were wonderful. I would certainly give it another chance as this could have been a one off experience.

German pub in the heart of Mérida Centro, with a wide beer selection and menu options. The dishes include the classics, such as the Bratwurst, Currywurst, Schnitzel, Leberkäse and Kartoffelsalat. Hot dogs and burgers keep the non-german visitors happy and the food is generally tasty and come in good portions. The beer selection includes local craft favorites like Ceiba, Mastache and Patito, along with prime imports like Spatten, Duvell, Paulaner, Hoffbräu and Augustiner…plus seasonal features. Service is good and the entire staff showed great attitude and attention to detail. The ambiance and decor features a fun, German theme across 2 interior rooms and a mid-sized patio in the back. Live music on Wednesdays, for those who enjoy some live jams during their mid-week beer stop.

Looks like a German place, but the service is worse than average Mexican… the ordered food comes our randomly, no difference between apps and main courses. The schnitzel was really bad, which is sad for a “flag” product of German cuisine. The wursts were average at best…

The food we ordered was simple and well prepared. Service was a bit slow, we had to get menus ourselves as nobody was coming to our table, also had to ask twice for mayo and twice had to ask for the bill.

We tried this place wanting something different and it was excellent. We had the salmon plate and the flammkuchen followed by some very tasty desserts. The service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Only 3 stars, because while my Brachtwurst hotdog was perfect, my mom's Pork Knuckle was so hard she couldn't even cut it. She's very familiar with Pork Knuckle and knows it takes a long time to make it properly. Also, as others have said, the food comes out at different intervals. I was already finished with my Brachtwurst before my mom's Pork Knuckle even came out. I really think they should just take it off the menu, as they clearly do not have the means to make it properly. I do command their effort for wanting to preserve the legacy of what was once a German neighborhood. However, a German restaurant should have German cooks.

Quite a large bar area, mainly sports TV at the front. Extensive range of German beers, bottle and tap. From very expensive to quite reasonable. Large selection of mainly German style food. Tourist prices. Decent service.

German pub in Merida Mexico, I heard about it and read the reviews. I had to go! I had a great meal. I decided to go for a golden Mexican beer instead. It was an excellent choice. The food is delicious! Top quality meats, ample menu with good portions, as you see I had to come in a few times. I loved it! I will definitely be back. Excellent service, friendly staff. I love the decor very nice place!

Food was good for Mexicans. Krustentest bestanden. Of course not exactly like at home and no gravy sauce but I showed them. Fries better than at home. I'm amazed by the beer selection. I have never seen so many different beers from different regions (Bockbier!! :D) Service nice. Talked to Pedro (Martinez) and Ivan Enrique, very nice. But one didn't seem that nice so it's probably like everywhere haha. Learn to say or understand Servus and play Bavarian music and that's perfect. Oans, zwoa, gsuffa!

That place can't be recommend enough! The food is authentic and delicious (I'm German). The service is impeccable and the selection of beers is overwhelming. It's a bit pricey, but hey, it's still value for money. And you'll get awesome quality. From the Bretzel, the cold cuts, Beef Rouladen to the Camembert, whatever I tried and ate here, it was of an immaculate quality and well worth my time and appetite. I returned 3 times so far and will probably soon again. There's always a certain craving for their delicious foods and international beers. Come during the day, if you want a promo on National Beers. Happy place! No complaints. Pure bliss!

We always stop here when we're in Merida. An alternative to the normal Mexican foods at local restaurants. They serve a few draft beers, usually from Mexico but sometimes imported also. Several bottled beers are available from Germany and other European countries. They normally don't have every beer on the menu available, but there's always a good selection. As the name implies, the food is German and delicious. I especially recommend the meat and cheese platter. Sorry, I don't remember what it's called.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff, yummie food and good prices. Being a German, I can say I was quite surprised how authentic the food tasted. The menu is quite extensive and even as VEGETARIANS we were able to find quite a few options. My boyfriend and I ordered Käsespätzle, sauerkraut, a pretzel, and french fries with cheese and shared everything (portions were quite big). And of course, they have a huge variety of different beers as well. To sum it up: definitely a nice place to dine in and have some German food. Definitely recommended! 👍

Yes, I admit, I am native German and I went to Merida and ate German food - shame on me but this place is awesome! Their draft beer is delicious, their food portions are massive and very authentic. Service was funny and friendly. Highly recommended

Surprisingly good experience. The service was good, especially very good skills to pour German white beer in the Glas with the right amount of foam. Very nice decoration, very typical German. Nice outfits. I had the Wiener Schnitzel and the potato soup which were very tasty and a good 'german' option after two month of Mexico. Give it a try and enjoy some German vibes :)

We stopped by late at night in Merida. The place is beautiful and the German food delicious. My son got a good tankard of German beer which he enjoyed immensely.

We came here for our wedding anniversary and it was absolutely magnificent. They stock a wide variety of European beers - they had Leffe (joy) and even Delirium (extreme joy). Unfortunately the Delirium was massively out of our price range as we’d have had to remortgage our flat to afford it. Moving on we had the schnitzels which were fabulous and the salad was really nice if a tad sweet. It had apple in it but it was refreshingly tasty. The waiting staff here were so nice. It’s a bonus they understood my Spanish but even so they were kind and attentive. Honestly I would recommend this place to anyone. Food is lovely but if you just want a drink it’s pretty central with a great choice for beer lovers. They also do alcohol free beers which is a winner too because usually it’s only available in some stores. We will definitely return as we really enjoyed our evening here.

I am from Germany and after a long time not being home I was really looking forward to eat here some German meals. We arrived around 3p.m. And we ordered two times Spätzle. After 10 minutes they said they don’t have Spätzle anymore so we ordered 1x Rouladen und 1x Flammkuchen. Unfortunately the Rouladen never came. The waiter was sorry he didn’t get our order right but the problem Was that the kitchen closed at 4 p.m. so we couldn’t order anything else. The Flammkuchen came 40min After ordering but it was soooo good! 👍🏽 I would have loved to try the Rouladen, Gulaschsuppe and the Apfelstrudel , but I couldn’t 😭 I think this restaurant is awesome! So definitely a recommendation! Just make sure they get your order right! I would have loved to go there tomorrow again but they are closed on January 1st. 😭

A large pub with a patio and several rooms that serves both food and drink of the German persuasion. Staff speak pretty good English, and can direct you through a rather large menu of culinary and beer selections. The food is ok, as German as you can expect in the tropics of Yucatan. The beers are good. The prices are ok, pretty cheap if you drink local beer, but not so cheap if you stick to the German imports. The bar has a big screen tv that plays sports, which is nice. I liked the place and came back often as it is open until late.

Incredible authentic German food. One of the few places in Mexico where the owners are German and have set it up right! So glad I was able to eat and drink here. Sausages and sauerkraut are on point. Half of the menu is the beer list from around the world, mostly German selection.

Beer lovers delight in Merida. Bierhaus IPA is award winning by any standard. Other locally produced beers on tap and in bottles. Many imports and Mexican beers to chose from. Great German style food. What more can say except give it a try if you are a beer affectinado.

What an unexpected treat! Great beer selection and even better German food. The Jager snitzel was crispy and creamy. The potatoes buttery and soft. What a perfect combo. My partner had the Steak medallion - perfectly cooked with such a deep, complex gravy. Totally unexpected! So glad we opted for this spot. And the service was excellent! Our camarero suggested some great beer selections - some I would never normally order. Glad he was able to guide me on a personal beer tour!
