Chilakilez Morning Food & Treats

Restaurant Mexican restaurant

👍👍 Had our breakfast around 10 and there was plenty of seating available. Both my wife and I had the fruit bowl with yogurt and granola. Large bowl! It was excellent along with the Jamaican tea. Even though our Spanish is extremely limited, all of the staff were very patient. Certainly recommend. People often mention chilaquiles, breakfast, good, recommend, great, Great,

Excellent Chillaquiles! I'm in love with the mole version. The portions were huge and the quality exquisite. Service was excellent. Great place.

Service was quite slow but not sure if that is because we were the first ones there, but the food was really tasty and great for coeliacs (gluten free).

Great breakfast and presentation — the coffees were delicious and the pancakes as well! We stopped in randomly and were pleasantly surprised. Nice work Chilakilez! Graciassss

Awesome breakfast place! Because of Covid they only have 4-5 tables with no outside dining, just a FYI. Checked them out on a warm Sunday in January. You build your own bowl kind of thing. It does talk a little time for them to make to order - just a few minutes but it is worth the wait. Can highly recommend! PEr the menu they have other things as well. Plan on trying to repeat before leaving Merida.

Super tiny place and the green chilaquiles were bland. The green sauce is overpowering with the taste of tomatillo and nothing else. The chicken & crema had no flavor and the sauce was poured over the chilaquiles instead of the tortillas being tossed in them. The wait was too long.

Very chic place, friendly staff that speaks English and according to them, most things on the menu are naturally gluten free. Lunch options are somewhat better than breakfast choices. If you love cheese, this is the place for you.

They are standing behind their slogan, these are really good chilaquiles! They usually take some time to prepare the dishes so be patient. Things to improve: - My table wasn't really clean when I sat down. - Music is fine but I wish they would play more calm and relaxing music. After a long week usually I want a place to relax while having breakfast or brunch. Other than that I highly recommend trying this chilakiles!

Cute, cozy place. Great Chilaquiles, you can build your own style. The other breakfasts looked good too. Will try next time.

The chilaquiles were twice the plate as other places and really well done. In fact you could split a plate and be satisfied. Not a great place for kids as the place is small and can get pretty crowded with lines.

Unique experience! My mom and I had breakfast at Chilakilez this morning. The restaurant was small but clean, friendly staff, and the menu had good variety. However, we were a bit surprised to see that chocolate “milkshake” was literally chocolate milk that was shaken.. haha. As well as, the sausages are hotdogs. For breakfast, I wouldn’t recommend going here. However, for lunch, it’s worth a shot!

They had run out of the green sauce, so we didn’t have chilaquiles, but the mole enchiladas suizas are *chef’s kiss*. Would 💯 recommend!

Can't share enough how along this resturant was. I recommend everyone go to it if you want a great breakfast.

Great little place. Dishes are well served, big portions. Just wish they used less sour cream and more sauce for the chilaquiles.

The chilaquiles here are amazing! They have all sorts of variations. I had the traditional ones with salsa verde! I can just recommend this place.

I bet the chilaquiles are really good at this place, but we came for a regular breakfast that was not so great. Our cappuccino tasted like water (we did receive a new, regular coffee after complaining which is a +), the pancakes came dry with no syrup or jam (tho it was stated on the menu) and our yoghurt was full of jam which made it super sweet. To be fair, it’s cheaper than other breakfast spots in Merida.

Small place, but nice service. Food was OK, not more, not less. Omelett filled with Chilaquiles was good.

The best place in Mérida to eat chilaquiles.

The food wasn't bad, but cappuccino can be better. Also they haven't got juice:(

Really wanted to love this place, as it came highly recommended, but I thought that the food was just okay. Much more of a hipster/edgy place than a lot of the other options in merida, so definitely come here if you're missing the big city vibes and modern options. If you don't speak spanish (like me) it's good to be aware that their entire menu is on their FB page and in spanish, but it's pretty simple. Similar to a subway/chipotle ordering system where you pick a base, meat, and sauce. Give this place a chance for the aesthetic, but go elsewhere for authentic/local food! Prices here a bit steep too, I think I spent ~$8 USD for my meal

Really loved this spit. Chilaquiles of the highest calibre. Really great extras. Enjoyed the blue maize and the pork belly was outstanding. We’ll be back for sure. Good portions at a decent price and friendly service!

Delicious food, generous portions for a very reasonable price. One of our favourite brunch spots in the city.

Overall a good experience. Juices were good. Pastry was good and the chilaquiles nice. Service was good and so was price. The locale is cute, but can get crowded quickly as it is small. Worth a visit.

😐 Beautiful setting, very helpful and excellent staff. Their menu has just about every dish for which the Yucatan is known. 👍👍 Excellent! I ordered three of the pastor tacos. My wife ordered two chicken tacos. Best we've had in a very long time and we're loaded with meat. Two classic Margaritas each. Both were tasty and potent. I wasn't done so I ordered two of the bistec (steak) tacos. Also yummy! We will definitely go...
