Awesome service For breakfast and loved the green juice. Had scrambled eggs with chorizo. Lots of chorizo so the eggs were slightly greasy but Very tasty. It came with the toasted bun and which she offered butter and jam. Hot sauce available for those who like it spicy. Small restaurant and it seems family owned and run. Would definitely return to try something else. Prices are reasonable. My breakfast w juice was 90 peso

I’ve gone for lunch three times since my arrival last week in Mérida. The menu is different everyday! The prices are great and I’ve enjoyed every dish. I’d recommend the agua con piña as well!!

I was looking for the roasted pork but they didn't have host said they may have next day, so I went back and the had fried pork not sure what part they had fried but I can fry my own pork chops so I didn't order, I wanted Roasted pork or pulled pork. What I did order tho was chicken and rice that was yummy yum I would of given more if They had the roasted pork. IF the owner feels they need to leave a comment to anyone who speaks English then write your comment in English, it was easy for you to speak it, then your rebuttal should be in English. No worries tho not interested in what you needed to say... Have a good day!!

Outstanding restaurant. Excellent food, large portions, good prices. The Cubano sandwich was excellent, as was the chicken special. Fun paintings to enjoy. Excellent service.

Some of the best Cuban food you’ll find outside of Cuba or Miami. Totally unexpected place in Merida. The owner, from Cuba, is a true gem and nice fella. He even speaks english for non-Spanish speakers. Do yourself a favor and try this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Bro what a nice place I'm like half Cuban and I tell you I'm from Hialeah! So this food is gas so good it's like in the old country or like Cuba whatever you want to call it it's so good the food is amazing deserves a very good they have cortadito and everything you can't imagine very good desserts good attention the guy Cuban authentic very very good man I have to come here it feels like I was in Havana or something it was amazing! It's right in the middle of a not so busy Street near Espanola hotel amazing place magnificent I will tell you! Don't worry you come here you're in good hands I'm going to take care of you it's delicious just take a seat and relax I don't know if they have guarapo I forgot to ask but everything is amazing!

Wow wow wow! Great food! Had a banana smoothie and veggie sandwich for breakfast + veggie omelet (we shared with 2) and a fruit platter we shared with 4. Great taste, friendly people, good service, good prices, big portions. We didn't eat anything else until dinner ;)

It's in a house turned bistro. Home cooked meals that always delight me. The serving is so big that can do lunch and dinner if you want. The family is so friendly. Here, the food is what we go for.

Love this place so much! Delicious, home cooked and fresh Cuban food served in huge portions, with a lunch menu that changes daily. The service is always very sweet and friendly, and the ambiance is homey and inviting! It feels like eating in a good friend's home. Prices are also very affordable. The restaurant is located on a quiet street near Paseo de Montejo. I'm in Merida for a holiday and have already visited 3 times, and will definitely come back. I love the chicken croquettes (served with rice, plantains, beans and salad), the Cuban sandwich and the vegetarian lunch plate. Highly recommended!

Homemade fresh delicious food. We had the Cuban torta and saw other tables ordering the meatballs so we had to try those too and they didn’t disappoint!

Delicious food at a reasonable price. Very homey atmosphere, and if your Spanish isn’t very strong the owner also speaks English. Also loved the art displayed on their walls (which can be purchased). All of it was made by the owner’s son.

I love this place! I often get sandwiches to take away when I don’t have time to stay, but both are a great option! The food is delicious, the space is lovely and the family is awesome! The son of the family is a very talented artist and his paintings are on display and for sale as well. I highly recommend!

Good sized portions, very nice waiters and delicious breakfasts. They have vegetarian options which is great. Also, the restaurant is located just one block away from Paseo Montejo. I give La Cubanita 5 stars and I will be coming back here!

We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed the food a lot. The meatballs were delicious and the vegetarian dish healthy. Sure, vegetarian is not really the go to for a place like this, but still enjoyed it! Atmosphere was good and the owner very friendly!

Cute place! We had a breakfast there once while in Merida. All of us had egg (omelette or scrambled), which was good. The interior was nice and the lunch/dinner options seemed interesting.

They have a great menu of Cuban dishes, the beans are among the best Ive ever had, and the servings are very large. I do wish they would put less salt in the food and let the guests add their own at the table, my husband, who is not a picky eater, couldn't eat his dish because of the excessive salt. We were surprised because before the pandemic the food was always perfectly seasoned.

Was excited to try this place at their nee location. For me, food was way too salty for my liking. Everthing on the menu was fried and was pork. Could have been what was on the menu on the day we visited. Was hoping for a more healthy option, or at least no fried. We asked for the check, but the owner just came by and told us the total. Would have been nice to see the actual check. We did love the beans. Beans was my favorite!!

Absolutely authentic and wonderful Cuban food place run by family. Get there early if you want any of their Ropa Vieja. They make it fresh, and when it is gone (usually by 1300) it is gone. You will definitely not be disappointed with this very small authentic Cuban place.

If you’re after a break from mexican food this is the place, the sandwiches looked amazing. We had Cuban style shrimp spaghetti and it was fantastic. It’s a rustic little family restaurant with an art gallery next to it. Very well priced and delicious!
