Great Italian food great service and location

Villa Italia is a gorgeous restaurant, their staff is very professional, attentive, and knowledgeable --- their food was delicious and they had a spectacular wine menu, additionally they served their wines at proper temperatures with generous pours --- would most definitely come back

It's a really nice Italian restaurant in Merida Yucatan is a place with a great Fettuccini Alfredo, Pasta is the best. But they have desert really good too.

Excellent food and service, we will definitely be back. The duck special was amazing! My wife had canneloni, which was also outstanding. The creme bruleé was the best we've had in quite some time.

Nice atmosphere and attentive service were not enough to make up for the bland,boring food. Heavy on meat and cream and almost no tomatoes to be found - surprising in a place where delicious tomatoes are found in abundance.

I've been customer of this place for more than ten years!!!. Can you believe to be consistenly good for that time???? I was first introduce to the place by a local friend while visiting Merida many years ago before I moved to live here on 2019....then Villa Italia became the favorite place for my husband (RIP) I continue to visit once in while, I think it is best value you can find in this area. We love italian food and I've recommended to visit many other places...but I always return to Villa Italia. It is actually a classic for locals and turning as well so for new generations, right in Colonia Mexico. I feel we go to our "Family trattoria" in Italy everytime I stop by....it has became quite crowdy on peak hours . "Al forno" which is same owners has the best pizzas, when Villa Italia is full, we try this which is right behind. Buon appetito!!!

Went a week ago with a group of friends. The place has a lovely ambience, perfect for going out with family and friends. I would consider it a tranquil experience. The service is great, the waiters were very attentive to our big group and the lunch went great. Some dishes I would highly recommend are the carpaccio de carne y salmon (salmon and meat carpaccio), spaghetti bolognese, lasagna, ravioli pomodoro, and the best of all penne arrabiata. All these dishes were ordered by the group and everyone said that their food was delicious. Two plates that stuck out the most were the spaghetti bolognese and penne arrabiata which both were extremely tasty, flavorful and the pasta was cooked just right. Highly recommend this place! (Unfortunately I did not take any pictures).

Wonderful place, great atmosphere, great food, and George is a great server. I really can't say anything other than it was a wonderful experience for my wife and I on a Friday night. We will be back.
