This place it's so beautiful, so great... Is quiet with dim light, music excellent. The place is hide but is so wonderful. My tongue enjoy every bite because was very delicious. A jewel of restaurant.

Homemade Gnocchi and Lasagna were delicious the House wine (Tempranillo) is okay for the price. Place is nicely decorated and has some atmosphere

We had the Fettuccine Prosciutto Fungi and Lasagna Rosa.. Good portion size, Good flavor and Good service. Reasonable pricing. They have a nice covered patio area when weather agrees. We go a couple times a year.

Would never eat here again no Caesar salad in an Italian restaurant no complimentary bread 🙄 that’s an extra order the bread is hard toasted bread this is the worst Italian food I have ever tasted!

Very delicious and very authentic. Any bad reviews here have no idea what they're talking about. If you're considering going here, just do it. The service is outstanding, the menu is formatted just how it is in Italy. I felt like I was transported to Italy when eating here. My wife and I used to go to Trattoria La Pasta Montejo a lot before this, but we'll likely never go there again after visiting this place. It's better, cheaper, and with a nicer atmosphere. The flavors are tasty and true to Italian cuisine. I can't recommend this place enough!

Not really impressed by the food or the service. Outdoor seating is uncomfortable.

Excellent food. Server was a new hire, my guess in a month or two he will do fine. But this time one person in our party ordered a desert and he didn't bring a spoon or fork to eat it. I had to walk up and ask for one so she could eat her cheesecake. The owner always makes a point of greeting diners. The food is always above average, and the prices are below average. Have not eaten here in a few years. The covid outbreak hit and my wife had I just got out of the habit of dining out. We will absolutely return.

Terrible! Small shrimps, watery tomato sauce, and the sangria was the worse I ever had anywhere. This can not be the same ownership, chefs, etc. from three years ago. I’ll never come to this restaurant again. My advise: go get a slice of pizza, and save your money.

Dec 2022 edit - wish you'd add a wheelchair access. Glad you are still here! What a great find. Very traditional Italian. Smaller portions that pack in the rich flavors. Very much a delight. Steal into the cool cave and relax. Good service, fat food delivery. We'll return again. But add this hidden gem to your list of foods delights.

The food was basic not really authentic and the service was average.

There is a great covered seating area for outside dining. It was great to be covered when the rain started.

We fell in love with the atmosphere as soon as we walked in. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The food was fresh and well plated. Everything was delicious. Will go back.

Italian food in Mexico is always iffy. This was okay. The bottle of pinot grigio was chilled, bit not very good. The lasagna looked good, but was cool in the center...not heated enough. My fettuccine with prosciutto and mushrooms was good, but a slightly bigger porttion would have been nice. The tiramisu was way too sweet.

Had dinner there last night and the gnocchi. It was a very strange experience. I was early by Merida standards and so was the only person in the restaurant. I elected to sit outside being a beautiful night. There were several staff in the area chatting away when I arrived. As soon as I sat down, all talking stopped. They all stood staring into the bushes that surround the patio area. My server took my order and it was delivered promptly. No one ever spoke to me or checked on me. I felt extremely unwelcome and like I had invaded their space. They all just stood and stared. I seriously considered picking up the food and moving to the far end of the patio area. The gnocchi pasta itself was cooked properly. However, I could detect no chorizo. It was like Chef Boyardee sauce. I don't know how much business they do but I imagine it's not much if this is the norm for service and quality.

Great lunch as always. The gladiators enochi was so flavorful and lighter than most would expect. Our waiter Mario was very attentive. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

We went for both dinner and breakfast here while visiting Merida. The food was excellent and it was hard to choose from such a nice menu. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend Antica.

Friendly staff, beautiful setting in a cosy courtyard setting, fresh, healthy choice of quality ingredients. The art gallery and is a bonus.
