This was first place we visited when arrived in Merida because it was next door to our hotel. The drinks was great. The sopa de Lima was fantastic but rest of our meal was flavorless. The service was not the best but the dj played fun music to provide a lively vibe more like a dance club than restaurant. Go for the drinks and atmosphere. Skip the food. The service was not great.

Worth it! This place offers uniquely prepared, Yucatecan food, great in taste and looks, for an adequate price. I went here for dinner and couldn’t be more happy. Soap de Lima was really great and the grilled Chaya salad blew my mind. It has scents of cacao while being so crispy that I couldn’t stop eating. All over, it’s an amazing place with a great food quality and adequate pricing for what you receive. The waiters are nice as well, but have been partially unattentive.

Really nice venue. The bar was super cozy. Menu was varied and not expensive at all. Just tried the papadzules and they were delicious! Loved their cocktails, I had different drinks with mezcal. Staff was super friendly. Service was fast and efficient. Overall, a really nice venue for lunch or dinner.

Great yucatecan food! Ordered the shareable platter with 3 main meat dishes. The Poc Chuc was my favorite of the dishes.

Delicious yucatecan food with outstanding service! Staff was very warm and attentive and the food was delicious. We sat outside and the setting was beautiful! The inside of the restaurant is also gorgeous. We had the eggplant ceviche and the vegan papadzules. Both delicious. Then we had the camarones tuunich which were great and the queso relleno, this one was ok. Servings are generous so don’t order too much. Definitely recommend.

Many food options on the menu (but not many wine choices). We shared two small dishes, which were very good, and it was plenty of food for us.

We had never had Agua de Chaya -- what a lovely experience! We recommend the lime over the pineapple, but both were refreshing and perfect on a very hot day. The Sopa de Lima was delicious, but the Sikil Pak stole the show--it was light, complex, and absolutely bursting with flavor. We also had the Chapa salads which were unexpected (the spinach leaves were roasted!) and a bit difficult to eat, but the flavor and fresh twist made them totally worth it!

Solid experience. We enjoyed the 4 dishes we shared as a group of 6. No one was super hungry but we wanted to sample and share. We really enjoyed the cochinita and grilled fish plates. Less exciting the Turkey and aguachile plates. But overall nice environment and good service.

This has been a favorite relaxed spot for dinner, and the food is good. They have vegetarian options and traditional dishes. Teya hits my top list for 2 main reasons; Consistency & professional, skilled servers. Perfect for romantic nights, or when you have to discuss business.

Great food and wonderful outdoor seating. The staff are pleasant and the servers do speak English if you aren’t comfortable speaking Spanish. Only reason I’m not leaving five stars is because we really would have like a second round of drinks but after our food was delivered we didn’t really see our server again to order more drinks. Would still absolutely recommend eating here!

Baddest Service Experience ever. We are a Pair from Germany and tried to spoke some Spanish with the Waiters that we have a Reservation, all they have to do is to make some Jokes about us and our broken Spanish. Maybe next Time we only speak German and make some Jokes about them. Every Taco Stand is more friendly. The Waiters are also inattentive and overbearing. They also grabbed some Plates, while others are still Eating. As soon as we were done with the starter, the main course was immediately put out, so we had the feeling that we weren't wanted. No asking for a Dessert or anything else. Never again.

Excellent food and service! We hesitated to enter because the menu seemed so limited but with the selections we made from the menu, we were extremely satisfied. Great place to dine.

TEYA certainly proved itself as a quality establishment in Merida. From the food to the staff it was a pleasurable lunch and experience. The prices reflect the ambiance and the food creations. I highly recommend TEYA.
