Very nice place to visit and get some impression of how life was during the early days. The house is a mismatch of collectors items and antiques and that makes it great to look around. It is rather small, although there is upstairs and downstairs, but you walk through is in less than 45 minutes. Entrance fee is 120 pesos, which I think is a bit overpriced.

One of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen. Also the stuff is very helpful. If you are interestet in how all that beautiful houses look from the inside, this is the place to go! Chandeliers from Florence, Steinway Piano, Art Deco windows... and everything put in place with much love and respect.

Wow, what a treat! This house is incredibly well maintained with a lot of the original furniture (looking almost brand new). The staff was also very nice and were happy to answer any questions. We really felt transported into the era and were mind boggled on how the owner’s could have acquired and transported such beautiful pieces of furniture. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful old home with period furniture. You also see the servants area and learn about them, which is a nice addition. Price very fair.

Honestly, there is no better place in Merida to see and experience an authentic "Quinta". The architectural elements and design are fascinating. On top of that, there is an exquisite collection of the Montes molina's family reliques. You will not regret coming here. No need for a time machine. Just step inside "Quinta Montes Molina".

Although this house is smaller than Montejo 495, I actually liked this one better. The rooms are more colorful and ornate and you can walk around on your own and you don't need to pay extra for cameras. However, I will say, I don't understand why they don't just leave the basement unlocked and then force you to exit through the giftshop. We walked through more quickly than the other group and were standing for 5 minutes next to a locked door, waiting in vein for the worker to let us out, only to eventually find out that the way out isn't the same as the way in. This should really be communicated better to visitors. Inside the house it's fine, but anywhere in the outdoor areas of the property, you constantly have staff harassing you over where you can and can't walk. The museum itself gets 5 stars, but the people who work the grounds completely ruin the experience.

Beautiful furnished house of the first years of the 20th century. A must see in.Merida and entrance fee is decent. Have a look at the gift shop. They have quality souvenirs for reasonable prices and it supports the museum.

This is a very nice 100+ year old mansion that has a number of interesting rooms to see. The issue is that it’s just not worth the price of admission. I understand that they need money for upkeep, but maybe the local government should support it rather than tourists.

Beautiful residence with a grande piano and beautiful french architecture. It's still being used sometimes by employes. You can see the living quarters of servants in the basement there is english plaques to explain everything. There is a big place for parties in the backyard. Nice staff who let me play the 100 year old piano.

Walking through this grand mansion you'll see the elegant furnishings of the family that has lived there since the 1920's. A guide gives a short overview in English or Spanish and then you can read descriptions in each room.

Lovely story about the home. Very interesting and beautiful. Guided are very informed.

Interesting history, beautifully- maintained home, informative staff--all make for a great way to spend an hour+ in Merida. Part of the tour is guided, and the guides will speak more slowly for those of us with less than fluent Spanish (also offer to do so in English if preferred). At about $5US per person, a true bargain. If you're forecast to have a rainy day, this is a perfect indoor activity.

Beautiful mansion, well kept, attentive personnel well stocked gift shop. Lovely location for weddings and events, fully contrasting the old vs modern. Amazing vision of owners! Disliked seeing all the different styles of furniture, outlets, changes in the facility ignoring the old and adapting new. Would have liked seeing how it was originally and not as it had been adapting through the years.

This is a must if you are in Paseo Montejo or Mérida. The house has such a rich history, and they managed to salvage so many things, that it's like time traveling when you go in. You get to see how people lived during the splendor of Henequén times, and the tour is very well organized to ensure social distancing. If you have watched Downtown Abbey, this is the small Yucatán version of that house. The store also has so many cute souvenirs, it's worth visiting. You can go in the store without going into the museum.

Interesting history about family. Not sure if it’s worth paying to visit the palace. . Great furniture

Nice guided tour well worth the $95 peso fee and a walk in arrangement/no prearranged appointment necessary. English was also spoken by the guides and written along with Spanish on plaques explaining the details of the individual rooms.
