Lovely park with many great restaurants on the park and others within a few meters. Spectacular at night with all the lights and lanterns lit. Yucatecan Serenade, an open-air dance with live music, has been held weekly since 1965 at this park on a Thursday evening around 9pm

It is a small place to unwind at the end of the day and do nothing. Enjoy a marquesita (typical dessert in Yucatán) or ice cream or a hot dog, etc. Just sit down and listen to the birds and enjoy the company of the locals at the end of a work day. Very limited parking in this area.

Santiago Park is a pleasant park with lots of shady trees and a fountain. The park shares a space with its namesake church, market, and lots of inexpensive little restaurants. During the day there are street vendors and on Tuesday nights, an old school band plays and many locals come to dance.

There is a small market there and it has very tasty food, I will say it is one of the best "cochinita pibil" I had. It is cheap in comparison to a restaurant and it has the same quality and in some cases best flavor, there you'll find the authentic Yucatan food and beverage to an excellent price, also the people are very nice and servicial

Honestly this park is nice, but definitely over hyped! I loved how it had a very local feel, but it really didn't have much to offer! Everyone told us this was the place for food, but honestly it wasn't the best! The park also needs a lot of work! I think it is definitely still worth visiting to get your own opinion on it, but not something worth going out of your way for! Hope you enjoy it!

Gorgeous area to relax and contemplate life. There was a parade of some sort happening, "la fiesta the el bario". Lots of eateries and vendors selling.

One of my favorite neighborhoods, and they have one of the best mercados for eating. The little restaurant on the front (park) side next to the ice cream shop has very good food. The park is quiet sometimes and others off very busy with a music or magic show. It's one of the best parks in Centro for dining.

Pretty low key, ton of food right by the park. The church at the park was very welcoming, one lady gave me a hug

Our favorite square in Merida. Beautiful and quaint. Be sure to check out La Poderosa Loncheria. Delicious food at an extremely reasonable price. Can't wait to visit again.

Relaxed plaza with the chill vibe. This is Mexico. Good food and the wonderful atmosphere of a vibrant neighborhood.

Music was awesome, great family atmosphere. The food was ok. I wouldn't eat there again... maybe only the appetizers. The bathroom was clean but the walk to the bathroom was dirty. Take TP with you or be prepared to pay for 1-2 thin pieces of TP.

One of the six colonial neighborhoods of the city, enjoy a "torta" (sandwich) on the local market, and don't forget to enjoy an ice cream from "Polito" while walking in the park.

Locals gather in this square of Merida at night to spend time together and dance to live music. A lovely experience that you can join if you feel like it !

Beautiful, one of the best places to eat local food at the little market in front of the church.

A quaint little neighborhood park with terrific street style food and a small but great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables to carry home for a home cooked meal or snack. Maybe not so much a tourist stop, but a nice place to sit and enjoy a much quieter moment than in the bigger downtown squares. Overall a more authentic experience can be found here with the locals.

Terrible staff and service. Service is slow and staff are not well trained. There is a new female Trainee staff said they don't get any training at all. She didn't know the difference between a Cappucino and an Espresso ! After the Terrible service the staff has no shame to ask for Propina (Tips) Tourist Trap

a great spot for local food and pigeons...safe, friendly and full of nice people hocking their wares and food eats at the local, 15 vendors, market area

I visited this park late at night so I didn't get to experience the market or many food stalls. However, we did have dinner at one of the few stalls that were open and it was delicious. The customer service was wonderful and the dragon fruit water is a must. There was also a group of women practicing their traditional dances in the middle of the park. They did a lovely dance. Very entertaining.

First place we visited on the night we arrived in Merida we walked here at midnight to find food amd there was plenty to be had here. We decided on grilled hotdogs with onions and peppers bacon..so good with home made lemonaide

This park isn’t the best atleast for small children. It’s a tad bit rough and high. But the area is great right next to the market and lovely scenery. The park isn’t really shaded by any trees so it can get very hot.

Hang out late at night, eat well and inexpensively with the locals and come back in the morning when the place is bustling and again full of local life.

It's OK. There are better places to see first. They have a food court.
