Cozy and greenery park from few block of plaza Gande. On Thursday night 8pm they have traditional Mexican dance ceremony and many people gather for that. Beautiful place to enjoy Merida's night atmosphere.

Sehr schöner kleiner Park mit Restaurants herum. Es lohnt sich über die täglichen Aktivitäten in Mérida zu informieren, da täglich abwechselnd in den verschiedenen Parks immer abends was los ist. visitmerida.mx

A lovely square with live performances on Thursday nights at 9:00pm. Get there early if you want a seat.

This is a nice small park with different restaurants around it but the really big attraction is the Regional dance, singing and poetry show that they do on Fridays

This park is full of joy. I went there for the Thursday local dance show which starts at 9 p.m.. The people there are in a really good mood, they are chilling, talking, laughing and just enjoying their time there. Come around 8 to 8.30, find a nice spot to sit. Bring snacks or buy some of the many locals selling snacks, water, coke or buy some food from the food stalls or many restaurants.

Big chair park! Get a quick shot of your people in those big chairs when you are passing thru.

A small park surrounded by colonial houses and a small colonial church. There are a number of swanky restaurants and pubs in the arcaded building that frames its north west corner. Several trees fill the square providing welcome shade. This is also where the big facing chairs of Merida got their start. On the weekend there is live music and dancing in the square. A fun place.

Excellent experience. Must come if you love music. Thursdays of "trova yucateca" lovely nights to enjoy with friends, family, girlfriend, boyfriend, wife or husband. A little crowded but definitely worth it

While away the hours sitting and sipping in Santa Lucía Park. It is a wonderful place to people watch, listen to music, buy trinkets, enjoy the sunshine, and have a great meal.

Excellent central point in Merida. There are tons of restaurants and shops around. Local tours usually start in the park and are well worth it. It's a really lively area - good for people watching! It's also good to just have a seat and take in the beauty of the centro.

We just love this park, the restaurants and the people. Thursday evenings at 9 there is an hour long program of singing and dancing in full colored costumes. It is free and there are chairs and bleachers but ppl get there starting around 7:30 to get seats. If you reserve restaurant seating... The food is awesome at Avec Amour, Bryan's or any of the places. We've never had a bad meal. Go, enjoy. You'll be glad that you did.

Great place to hangout. Several restaurants, little pricey but good food everywhere. Make sure you ask if there are discounts, we got our drinks half price at the Soberana patio.

Parque de Santa Lucia is a delightful culinary spot, offering an impressive mix of international and local flavors. The setting is picturesque, perfect for a leisurely meal or a quick bite. Each stall and eatery presents its unique charm, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're craving something exotic or a taste of local cuisine, this place has it all. The balance of quality, variety, and ambiance makes it a must-visit for food lovers. Highly recommended for an authentic, enjoyable dining experience!

Great cultural event on Thursday nights for free. Come early if you want a seat, also many restaurants around the square take reservations, but they are all quite pricy.

The food preparation was great. The portions were more than adequate. The service was excellent. Knowing we were tourists, our server took time to ensure we understood the menu. This is a perfect place for an evening dinner. The price was more than reasonable.

The atmosphere is nice for spending 2 hours. I wouldn't try to get seats too early for the Thursday 9 pm performance as the chairs are very uncomfortable and if you are in the bottom bleachers people will come last minute and stand in front of you and block your view. The best and most affordable place to eat that isn't a tourist trap is the people set up accross in the church courtyard, we tried so many items and they were all delicious and affordable. The performance was good but it probably isn't something I'd bring young children to as it can be boring for them to wait.

A classic park area now becoming a more upscale restaurant/hotel area in the city. Getting quite stylish.

This park has music every Thursday night free to thr public. It is advertised for 8 pm but it actually started at 9 pm. It has traditional music and dancing. You should arrive before 8 pm as the seating fills up by then and then it is standing room only. I would advise also booking in a nearby restaurant with a view as that would be enjoyable also. The Italian one seemed good. There is a great atmosphere of food sellers, jewellery, home made cakes coming around to the seated areas. We bought fans to keep cool as it was very hot. Very hot! There were lots of stalls set up in other parks along the way selling local hats, clothing, jewellery, ceramics. We purchased a local .ade hat but it was too light and blew off with a breeze. It was $750 PESOS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THESE HATS.

Very cute little plaza with multiple fine dinning restaurants. There're free live performance in the evening on certain days of the week. Great place to go if you love good food, live music, or just a relaxing time sitting on the bench in a plaza.

Went for dinner with some friends from the united States. There was a show with singing and dancing in the park. Food and drinks were fine, although busy, everyone got what they ordered and liked it. It was a very pleasant evening overall.

We liked this small square much better than Plaza Grande. It's lit up really pretty in the evenings and there are lots of good restaurants around the perimeter. There is also live folk dancing on Thursdays.

Nice place. If you want to have a drink and unwind this is a good option, provided that you don't smoke. It lacks smoking areas. Prices a little above average.

Very pretty place to sit in the shade and use the free city internet to plan your next adventures

A magical square with great local music and dancing on Thursday evenings. If only the restaurants didn’t play loud recorded music and force you to listen to a cacophony of sounds it would be a great place to enjoy an afternoon drink.

It's a cute little park that is neat & quiet. Good place to hang out and get a break from the city

It's small and the restaurants may be a bit on the pricier side but I had a good time with my fam. I'd go back to try each different restaurant.

Great place to enjoy lunch or dinner. Food isn't bad, maybe a bit pricey because it's in a tourist area but lots of locals go here too. Service is not great. There is free live entertainment with lots of seating on Thursday evenings - traditional Yucatecan dance as well as some singers. We certainly appreciate the City of Merida hosting these free events around town. The parque is small but lots of trees and on a street that has a lot of great shopping.

It's not really a park, but it's a nice place to take a break. And here you can also find the famous, white "you and me chairs". And there is also a huge model of this chairs where you can take funny pics, because the chair ist so huge that you will look like a child.🤭

Very nice park surrounded by coffee houses and restaurants! There's a statue of a giant stone chair in the middle of the park, which creates a perfect photo opportunity. Kids will love it!

A nice little square. A couple of really good restaurants and music every Thursday night. A good place to sit and relax for a bit or grab a bite to eat.

A little touristy but still beautiful to visit. Some great restaurants in the area, but you will pay a bit more due to this being the tourist area.

A quiet parque, with nice cafes and restaurants

  • 4/5 Adam S. 1 year ago on Google
Nice little park, centrally located. Lots of restaurants and bars in the immediate area, but if you want a very quiet area, dont get a hotel room near here. My.hotel was directly across the street and some band was playing loudly until 10pm on a Thursday night, they do that every Thursday night. Then Friday morning at 9am there was a military band playing.

It is a beautiful park in the middle of the city with lots of business around such as restaurants and hotels, it's a great place to come and visit with your family or friends. The day I came and visit it was with my wife and kid.

Great location for a meal. Atmosphere is nice, super outdoor space away from the street noise. Good variety of restaurants to choose from. Our staff were very good, quickly responding to our many requests. It was a small birthday party so there were several of us but we were all very satisfied with the food and the service.
