I’m not sure why, but the place certainly wasn’t what I had expected it to be based on what’s available online and other people’s photos. It was quite empty (even during the day) and rather dirty. It was actually a little creepy at night.

Roofed passage located next to the Merida Cathedral. It houses occasional art exhibitions but these are not always around. There are a few shops and a museum entrance on the south side of the passage the whole of the north side being occupied by the cathedral. Nice spot to hide out in when it rains, it can get hot and stuffy on hot days however.

It’s closed for renovation! But looks interesting and you can still see some sculptures.

Linking the Cathedral to the Archbishop's Palace. It showcases art and multimedia displays in which you can spend 5-10 minutes. Try and check out the modern museum which rotates contemporary exhibits; Fernando García Ponce-Macay Museum

It's a big archway, that architecturally is interesting, but remains just a big archway /tunnel nonetheless. It could use some artwork and I'm not sure about the multicoloured lights at night (a bit tacky) but that's just my opinion. If you're checking out the plaza you can't miss this.

It's a cool architectural archway, but I was surprised when I noticed there wasn't much going on inside. Kind of a wasted opportunity!

Amazing place where you can find clothes and shoes with local people, also there are some stores of known brands. Really cheap and friendly people.
