Beautiful cenote! To get here from Merida, take a bus to Telchaquillo from the Noreste bus station. Once in Telchaquillo, it is a 5km walk to Pixya. Along the way, someone on a motorcycle picked us up and took us to the town. In Pixya follow Google Maps directions, it's a short walk. The cenote is 50 pesos per person. There are facilities to change but nowhere to leave your valuables so be careful. You'll have to walk down a very steep and narrow staircase but once you're down there it's beautiful! The pool is quite small though so it could get busy.

Nice clean water, some insects similar to mosquitos but they were not bothersome once we entered the water. People climbed one of the rock walls and on the other side it was possible to jump into the water from a great height!

What an incredible cenote. A guy rents vests outside but he didnt have enough for my group. I recommend bringing your own. Absolutely loved spending a couple of hours here.

A beautiful Cenote. Fairly large opening brings in a beam of light that shines through crystal clear water. The temperature of the water is warm and the cave is beautiful. By coming here you are also supporting the locals who live in the community close by.

So, not hard to find, but be ready that there is bad cell phone reception, or no reception at all, so as you enter in the village Pixya, look for any kid, who can bring you right to cenote, for a small gratitude. The road up to cenote is bad- there is no road, basically it is a very narrow path-2 cars can not pass it-with stones, holes, and jungles on the sides. Entrance fee $50 pesos, time unlimited, long wooden stairs to go down, not crowdy, very deep (the lowest depth 14m), clear blue water. Also can be camping place for $100 peso fee

Mostly closed cenote with some wooden stairs to go down to a small platform. Very beautiful blue water. It wasn’t very crowded and there were some divers, but very peaceful. There is a nice little cave to the right where you can stand on to look at the cenote from the inside and from a different angle.

A place where locals come! This cenote is still an ejido. It seems to me that it is little known since you need to go through a dirt road to enter. There are few people without time limits. Beautiful.

Amazing cenote!! Extremely painful process getting there due to the dirt road but totally worth it. 70 pesos was the entrance fee and the stairs were extremely rickety, but the water was extremely clear and overall it was amazing.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Off the beaten path in a local village and the Village people who run it are incredibly nice. Bring your own life jacket as they don’t have many to rent out. You will enjoy yourself !

Nice cool deep blue water, can jump from the top or side and they even had a rope to swing on. Worth stopping by after Mayapań. Only one other group came when we were there so 12 people total. Really enjoyed it.

From the top you cannot distinguish the turquoise color of the water until you go down and look at it. The water is quite pleasant and without so many people it is more enjoyable.

Wonderful Cenote immersed in a clearing. At the entrance there is a small room to pay for access (not much) and possibly rent floating jackets. There are also two bathrooms (not particularly well-kept) but still useful for changing. The cave has an inlet inside which is bathed in sunshine until the early afternoon, creating a beautiful play of lights and colours. Fresh and pleasant water.

It's magical, you need to live it. Access is a little bumpy but it is not impossible to get there.

It’s the first cenote we visited and definitely worth the detour. After about 15 mins on the rocky and uneven terrain, you pay the entrance fee in cash and go down some steep stairs to the cenote. There’s only a small platform to stand on but you’ll be tempted to stay in the refreshing water.

Magical in the beginning of the afternoon where the light enters and plays with the blue water and your senses.

This cenote is spectacular. Limpide water - you can see through the 40 feet of water very clearly. Magical moment as we were alone in the cenote. One important point though, the access road - the last km was very rough. Maybe tough on your rental car. We really enjoyed it.

We went here with our guide Oscar. Go there but highly recommend doing so with a guide. It is beautiful

This is a lovely little cenote which is quite small but has a cool cave area to rest in on the side. There was a scuba group there while we snorkeled which was cool since it made it easier to see the stuff below from them using their lights. It is a newer cenote so not as open.

Very Beautiful and interesting Cenote... You have to travel about half a mile through a slightly Rocky terrain so if your car is very low to the ground I would think twice. On the other hand of that once you get there you get to park next to the cenote. The stairway is a bit of a steep climb down to be able to crawl down a few flights of stairs. And after that enjoy there is a nice little jumping point you'll figure it out. Sorry I didn't take any pictures just videos figured I'd hit the spot again. There is the public bathroom right there next to the cenote free of charge and parking was free also. There is a $50. Pesos donation fee to swim in this and nothing and that's to help the community. And Last of all... If someone pulls up to you on a bike offering you to take you to the cenote. It is safe to accept his little tour . You can see the GPS route a little bit different but it's the same he just wants to make sure you get to that one and not the one right after it. I will post pics later.

We loved this cenote! Only minus was that some steps weren't too stable and required maintenance.

We went on a trip with Oscar (the Cenote diver) who we booked through an Air BNB Experience "Explore the Cenotes!" while we were in Merida. BOOK THIS TRIP if you want to see out of the way cenotes and real Maya culture in the people you'll meet through Oscar.

It's a place that's only known to locals and gives a unique cenote experience. It's not for the faint of heart. The steps get slippery when wet, and the railing are not for support just balance. The water is soft and cool.

My son and I had a blast at this cenote. Really really really beautiful experience 🥰

Probably the nicest cenote we encountered (out of ≈8) weighing in the entry price (50MX$), the beauty of the place and its overall quietness

  • 4/5 Fabian F. 2 years ago on Google
A very beautiful and serene place with fresh water. One can swim, dive and enjoy

  • 4/5 Simon C. 2 years ago on Google
Very quiet spot, only a few other visitors.. It's a very large and deep cenote and only $50MXN. It's more a cave with not a ton of lighting so not as beautiful as some.

👍👍 My favorite cenote in Yucatán. Its hard to reach but well worth it. I'm speechless, this place is perfect. You'll never have to worry about bus crowds. Only reachable by car. Just rent a car and enjoy these off the beaten path cenotes. Bring your own water and snacks as there's no restaurants or sto...
