Arco de Dragones

Tourist attraction Historical landmark

😐 Located on 50th and 61st Street, it was named because dragons were found there, and no, it is not about these fantastic animals, but because at this point the Dragon Barracks was located, located on 50th and 61st Street. Today it works as facilities of the Yucatecan Children's Cultural Center.

It is amazing how historical monuments are still preserved in the City of Mérida. The dragon arch, which was also considered one of the entrances to the City of Merida.

Beautiful arch at the old eastern entrance to the city. Very well preserved and gives an air of a walled city. Ideal to visit on foot to enjoy in all its splendor.

A plain ancient colonial arch that dates back to the late 17th century located in a neighborhood with few attractions. Its nice to look at but only worth a few minutes of your time. Fortunately a few blocks away is the Parque de La Mejorada and a lovely church by the same name. So viewing these can be combined in one trip

You can take good photos from that place, it is a little busy during the day but the sunset looks fantastic during the beginning of summer.

On May 22, the Municipal Titeradas Week was inaugurated. Celebration that will be held every year in memory of a dear friend of mine, creator of Titeradas.
