Merida's Arco del Puente is one of three surviving gates to the old colonial city of Merida. It is an ancient arch dating to 1690 and one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city. Located at the edge of old town it is meant for the more adventurous as it is located in the less touristy part of town but one with more real Mexican flavor.
