We had an amazing experience on Bubbles out of Bermagui. My father has some mobility issues and the crew were so accomodating and looked after us. Very knowledgeable and informative about the whales and crew was constantly checking in with us through out our trip. We were very fortunate for Whales to put in a show minutes into our trip as well. Highly recommend the crew and would definitely return for another whale watching experience.

Sapphire Coastal Adventures offered to rebook us on the cruise departing from Bermagui on Wed afternoon instead of Merimbula the next morning, since weather forecast was dreary. We accepted and made the one-hour drive up to Bermagui. Turned out to be one of the best decisions we have made in our lives. The windy, drizzling afternoon meant perfect weather for a mother-and-calf pair of humpback whales. They kept us mesmerised with breaches, dives, tails and fins slapping the water for well over an hour! They knew they were playing to appreciative spectators. Towards the end of the cruise, our catamaran Bubbles was surrounded by different pods of humpback whales, some as near as 20m from the boat. Common dolphins also joined in the fun, cruising along the bow and leaping out of the water, much to the delight of us especially the kids. The crew was really engaging, providing us with informative commentary. They also ensured everyone was safe and comfortable (read: not seasick), while making sure the physically-challenged (an older lady had reduced mobility) could see the whales too. An amazing and magical experience we'd all remember all our lives! Photos taken by my husband with the last two contributed by our youngest daughter.

Lovely tour with plenty to see. Friendly, knowledgeable crew - great to have a chat with! Saw some dolphins at the end of the tour, which was a real treat. The scenery is beautiful and would have been enough even if we didn't see dolphins. Roger the dog was a lovely companion!

My mother, four year old daughter and I went on a cruise in April and saw sharks feeding, seals, dolphins, sting rays and sea eagles! It was the most magical experience and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Special mention to Roger who takes his job so very seriously. To quote my daughter upon seeing the large pod of dolphins a swimming with us; “This is my best life”

Fantastic experience on the whale watching cruise today. The crew made sure we saw plenty of whales including a couple up close when the whales got curious and came up to our boat. We were lucky to also see dolphins, seals, and albatross. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew. Our cruise went well over time because the crew wanted to give us the best experience. Will go again later in the season. Highly recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All the crew members were great, but it's pretty obvious who our favourite was - Roger, the Kelpie 🥰🥰🥰 The cruise itself was beautiful. If you plan on spending a few days in Merimbula, I recommend jumping on board early as you'll get to see some cracking spots along the coastline that you may not know about otherwise! Tips - take a jacket. Even on a warm/hot day it gets a bit nippy on the water. - duck to the loo before you jump on. There is a potty on board, but it's not ideal.

The best whale watching in Australia. I was lucky to travel down south from Sydney on three trips this year and all visits were amazing. The rain and high seas postponed a few excursions but as usual the whales were superb, amazing 🐋

Best whale watching cruise I've been on. Roger and the team were fantastic. Very informative. Will definitely be back. Loved that there was photographers and a drone on board so we didn't have to worry about capturing anything.

A great activity to do in Merimbula! All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt safe on board and had a great time. We were lucky enough to encounter 3 whales close up and saw a few seals and dolphins too.

I went on board 5 times from the beginning of October until the end of the season. On all days, the crew always went out of their way to ensure that all guests enjoyed themselves. Every whale has its own personality, and even if you go on a tour at the same time every time, no two days will be the same. Sometimes they jump, and sometimes they swim leisurely as if they were relaxing in a bath. Also, their knowledge was very deep, and through them I was able to learn about the ecology of whales, the impact whales have on the ocean, and the magnitude of what we receive from the ocean. I hope that the whales I encounter here reach Antarctica safely and that I will be able to see them again somewhere. Thank you so so much to all the crew for the beautiful time!

The team at Sapphire Coastal Adventures offer an outstanding experience out on the water. Their knowledge and love of whales and all things marine is second to none. They respect the environment and still manage to get front row seats to some of the most amazing whale moments. Highly recommend a tour with Simon and Jess at either Eden, Merimbula or Bermagui

Went in early September, Great few hours out on the ocean and so many whales!! Had a blast really recommend it and seeing all the salmon and Seals just topped it off, they even provided jackets incase of wind and sea spray which I thought was a great touch

We just recently stayed at the most beautiful comfortable Palms Apartments in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in Merimbula. Wonderful staff, modern kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms and very spacious with washing machine & dryer and only a 5 min walk to town centre and RSL club. There's also a pool and a view of the lake. We gave it 5 stars. Can't wait to go back.

Really enjoyed our time. Well organised, good size boat, friendly staff, informative, and lots of fun seeing marine life. Close to the whales!
