    Went online and rented a 26' moving truck for 10 hrs at the 87th/Cicero Ave location. Received a phone call the day before letting me know that the location was moved to the Alsip location. No big deal, it wasn't too far from the original location. However, I requested mobile check-in and still had to go inside to complete the check-in. The line was long when I arrived at 9am, but there were three people at the counter, so the wait wasn't too long. The facility carries all your boxing needs: boxes of varying sizes, tape, padding, peanuts, dollies, moving blankets, you name it. The check in process didn't take long and the guy taking care of me (his name tag said owner) was thorough. I called later to request an extension of two hours from our original 10 and the girl who took my call was very professional. The return process was easy and done online, however my husband returned the keys to the box BEFORE we took a photo of the odometer 🙄 so we had to pay an additional $20 because of that. Overall, it was an easy process and the customer service was good but don't forget to take a pic of your odometer BEFORE returning keys!

    Rented the smallest U-Haul truck. It's was ok. The people who worked there r really really Kool. The nicest people. Had a great experience. They made it very easy for me. Recommended. I'll use again if I need a U-Haul truck. 💯

    Staff was more concerned about their weekend activities than helping me. When I had said excuse me, can I get some help they said we'll be right there. There was only one worker taking care of the customers while the others ran into the back where they stayed. The music that they play is unprofessional along with how they dress. This isn't a night at the club. This is a place of business. Management needs to do something about this. Won't be back..

    Everything was great with this location until, I got charged an extra $103.69! I returned the truck same day after hours and was charged for another day plus the extra mileage. I contacted customer service and Mike explained what happened and requested a refund for the overage! It processed within 48hrs so I am satisfied! I stay in Chicago now but, I would use this location in the future! P.S. the truck I rented needs a new transmission or just retire that baby! Thanks!

    Truly the worst customer service in the world. Failed to pick up our U-Box yesterday and can’t get a hold of ANYONE. Keep getting put on hold. Literally will have to go drive to the location today to get assistance. I will absolutely never use U-Haul in any capacity again and will advise all friends and family to avoid them in the future.

    This place... Went to pickup a truck that was for self pickup, but employees were in the facility about 5mins before (7pm) when they close. Stood there for a min while they were talking and thinking they were helping the lady with the children ( who happened to be there waiting on the employee who said his register was closed ), so I asked "who could help me". The guy the lady was waiting for with the kids says, " I already shut down" and the other one immediately starts typing and says, "I just hit the button to shut down". Then the first guy says were leaving out the back ( the other employee and the lady with the kids), so when you leave we can lock the door. To avoid any conflict I just walked out and got on the phone with Uhaul, so that I could get the truck remotely as I ordered anyways. Great! All to find out, they didn't. Put the keys for the truck in the box for self pickup. This goes to show how people who lack customer care are not good for business. Don't like the poor quality and lack of concern they had and won't be using them again. I had to go an hour away at midnight after this situation. Got a completely different truck that was too big, slow and much more miles and gas. "NOT HAPPY WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ADVISE PEOPLE TO AVOID THIS LOCATION"

    Montell Smith was amazing in helping us with our rental. We were doing a military move and booked a 26ft truck a week ahead only to be called the day before saying they didn’t have any 26ft trucks available and that we would have to have a 15ft with a trailer. He helped us ease our mind and discounted our full trip for our inconvenience when he really didn’t even have to. Exceptional customer service and looking out for the customer! 10/10 experience!

    This place is trash and they should be closed down. The management is worse than the employees, I don't understand how these people are allowed to manage anything. Who gave them that position is the big question. This place charges you twice for storage, then get mad with you when you figure it out. Three people called me stating that I owe three different prices for storage, that is what made me look in to it. After reviewing I noticed I paid what they were asking already and they are trying to charge me again for it. Sara is going to say call corporate, as if my things are stored at corporate. I tried speaking to the lady Sara but she can't seem to comprehend. She transfered the phone to a manager but didn't tell the manager what the issue was, she just said I was belligerent. The entire staff there should be fired, I have not had a good experience with either of them, including the manager that didn't want to give me his name. You can tell why there is an issue there, the manager is no better than the employees.

    Extremely disappointed. They gave me the truck with the gas tank ON EMPTY despite saying it was a quarter full. When I asked them to correct it or fill the tank, they said to just take a picture of the gauge and tell the dropoff. Also, I was driving through a snowstorm and the windshield wiper fluid was empty. When I was finally able to fill it up , it barely worked. The gas tank leaked most times that I filled it up. It was a terrible experience

    Absolutely great service! A young lady named Jeany helped me from start to finish and made my rental of a moving truck easy and flawless. Very thorough and professional while she answered phones and juggled Check Ins/Outs! Reliable location! Ask for Jeany, she knows how to help out a customer! Check it out!

    The customer services here was unacceptable, when coming in to get a rental employees decided to chat it up about the weekend festivities with out being efficient in helping me out. Once i got the rental it was left with no gas, so i hurry to the nearest one and filled up $15 just to come back the same day and get charged $13.50. When i kindly asked them to remove the gas fee because i started off with no gas in the rental the guy got an attitude and said he won’t remove it. After going out my way to get charge an extra estimated value of $25 is ridiculous. I would not be coming back to this location!

    Great quick service. There was a lady in here last time I stopped in here to drop off a truck complaining and being extremely rude. It sounded like the problem was out of the hands of the workers so I wouldn't hold it against them. Took 5 minutes for me to get a truck and 5 minutes to return it.

    I’m giving 3 stars due to great customer service upon returning the rental truck. We were uncomfortable WATCHED upon by the worker with long hair while retrieving items from storage was quite rude talking to my brother-in-law. The female customer service agent reminding us about damage, (we bought the damage waiver already)????? We received two phone calls being accused of taking a few carts??????? My husband asked her to roll the cameras, we have no need to steal their carts, ridiculous. It was quite an uncomfortable experience coming from Georgia to Illinois. Unbelievable.

    You'd think they'd want more business but they have an attitude when you want to extend your rental then lie saying they need it back and it sits there for 3 days straight unused. If possible to online pickup not office you'll be in line for 45 mins almost every time

    Rented a truck from them. Forced to use the Alsip facility. Returned the truck in 3 hours. Put gas in it before returning it. Was told it wasn’t enough gas. Took pictures of the gas gauge had a receipt and fought with Diana Rios about it. Was told the account would be put on hold until I could speak to the reservation manager. Got a receipt this morning with the charge for 4 additional gallons of gas. Started calling at 7:45 was on hold and subsequently disconnected 5 times before speaking to anyone. When I finally reached the person I needed I was told a customer complaint was being filed and I would get the money back. I inquired how this would occur. I was handed over to Shannon the Regional Manager who was abrupt and talked over me the entire time and then disconnected my call. I am aware that help is hard to find but this is ridiculous! It’s now on me once again to monitor my credit card to make sure I actually receive a refund. Don’t do business with these people it is absolutely not worth it.

    I’ve been a customer at this UHaul location for about a year and I’m incredibly impressed with how clean the facilities are and how great the staff is. Especially compared to other self-storage locations. The bathroom in the storage building is always so clean and sparkly—no spots or dirty fingerprints anywhere. The cleaning lady is very detailed, I’ve even seen her disinfecting the walls. Very impressive! I highly recommend this place for all of your storage needs.

    I had a very bad experience. I made reservations for a one way truck at the Alsip, IL location. I get to the Alsip location and the staff tells me that I had to go to another location (Oaklawn, IL) to get a truck. Once I made it to the Oaklawn location, staff there advised me that the truck was local and I had to bring it back. The Gentleman at the Oaklawn location (I believe his name was Montell) then made reservations for me to go to another location that was 16 minutes away to pick up a one way truck. I eventually just settled for the local truck at Oaklawn, because I had no desire traveling to a 3rd Uhaul. I was not accommodated in anyway. I will note that Montell at the Oaklawn, IL location was very nice and tried to help me out but my issue was beyond his control. This is the 2nd time I had an issue with Uhaul. Uhaul will be my last resort moving forward.

    I called today and spoke with Diana to get a hitch installed asap because of an unexptected moving issue. She was able to find the part and has her own team driving to get the part at another location and is installing it first thing in the morning on New Years Eve! She was great to work with and very helpful in making the adjustments for me in a pinch!

    Always has trucks available when I need 1 & the storage is awesome because they will put your deliveries in your unit for you amongst other convenient services they offer! Tricky location if you're needing to turn left onto Cicero upon exit.
