The staff at Island Animal are so stellar, at one point- we moved over an hour away and still drove out to see them- even for a 5 min nail clipping! We have two rescue chihuahuas, who can be rather delicate & usually very scared and anxious, but at the vet they have really opened up & learned to trust and love the staff. It’s truly a miracle. But it shows- that just by being kind hearted towards animals & patient- it goes a long way. We are so so thankful for the care our babies receive from everyone there. It’s such a wonderful & refreshing piece of mind. They are also extremely accommodating! We’ve run into so many instances where the babies needed care in the same day-and Kory and Alexis always find a way to squeeze them in. Every vet is fantastic & extremely thorough with each Visit. We can’t thank the staff enough for their ongoing efforts to make sure our pets are healthy & happy. These pups are our everything, and deserve the best- aka Island Animal:)

Our senior kitty, Cici (Love bug) has been seen at Island Animal Hospital for many years. Dr. Birkbeck is the BEST! He is always so kind to our kitty while in the exam room. He is very thorough and so friendly. We always feel that our kitty’s health and wellness in in great hands with Island vet. The technicians always do a great job when we bring Love bug in for her nail trims as well. Extra kudos to Kory. Who we have dealt with for years as well. The entire staff at Island Veterinary is friendly, helpful and very professional. We highly recommend them to everyone.

So happy we gave this place a try! They got me in for an appointment the same day and even called to offer me an earlier time because of a cancellation. Both the tech and the doctor were so very sweet with our dog (who hates the vet) I couldn’t believe how well she behaved. They took their time, were patient as I explained everything and very thorough with the exam and directions upon leaving. This is our dog’s new vet! Highly recommend

Took my grandson's leopard gecko in for initial visit due to problems the reptile was having. They were extremely knowledgeable and gave us a wellness plan. We just don't have enough positive things to do say about this animal hospital. Thank all of you for being so kind and caring.

Recently, I took my cat, Horace Gump, for his yearly visit and to get his rabies shots. This was a great experience for both of us. My cat loves the staff and doctors at Island Animal Hospital at Viera. Every phone conversation and every visit has been pleasant and personable. We highly recommend you take your animals here. We started going to Island Animal Hospital about 3 months after we moved to the area from Virginia. We had a bad experience at our first vet here and we sooo relieved when Island Animal Hospital was exceptional with our, then, 13 1/2 y.o. Pug and our, then, 3 y.o. lab. Since, we have had to put our Pug down. The vet could not have been more accommodating, heartfelt, and desiring to do whatever we wished while guiding us through the pros and cons. Very personable, good "bedside manner", not expensive, and want what you want for your pet. 5 plus Stars!!

We always experience outstanding customer service at Island Animal Hospital at Viera. The staff listens to our questions and concerns, thus providing solutions that fits the needs of our dog. We especially feel the most comfort in working with Jason, veterinarian tech, when we bring in Pepper, our senior dog. Jason spends the exta time, giving us his undivided attention to listen to her current behaviors and medical needs. He answers any and all questions. He updates the doctor regarding all of our concerns and provides our dog with the specific care that best fits her needs. Jason demonstrates that he truly cares and is compassionate towards Pepper. We appreciate Island Animal Hospital at Viera and their awesome staff:)

Great first appointment getting established with our Chocolate Lab. Appointments are several weeks out so make sure you plan for that when needing an appointment. Morgan was our Tech and Dr. Danford (Viera office) was the vet we saw. Both very through and answered all my questions. No one was in a rush. We’ve tried other Vets in the area but this will now be our home.

I took my 13-yr old kittie to Island Animal Hospital for the first time. They were great with my very timid boy. They listened to everything I said and gave great recommendations and a complete change in his diet. I couldn’t be happier. I wouldn’t go elsewhere!

The entire staff is amazing! I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Gaudry, Dr. Shedd, Dr. Birkbeck, and Dr. Danford! The office staff is very helpful and always willing to go the “extra mile”! They have been extremely compassionate to me and my animals. Thank you for always taking such good care of my babies! Coco, Miley, Bella, Minnie, and Athena thank you as well!

Staff were very friendly, personable and understanding of our sick dog. They made me feel right at home and listened to all my concerns. I did not feel rushed during my appointment.

This vet is probably hands down the best I've ever went to. The staff are friendly and very caring. They are a very science based practice. They will usually go with the safest most proven treatment choice first. They will research things if necessary to treat your pet. The pricing is very fair. The other good thing that is helpful is the Merritt Island location is open on Sunday (and they can see your pets records) if you need care over the weekend.

This is the BEST Veterinarian clinic around. Our dog had an alarming situation take place and even though they were already booked, they fit him into their schedule. The wait wasn't long at all. The Vet was great and the assistant was wonderful too. They quickly diagnosed him and treated him. We recommend this clinic to everyone. We can tell that they care a great deal about our pet family. 5 stars from us!

Island Animal Hospital staff have been very good to our little dog. Our last visit yesterday though was a different experience. For some reason it took about 8 or 9 pokes with a needle to extract blood from our dog. She was stressed out from being poked so many times. The last 2 Technicians were able to extract blood from her with 2 pokes of the needle. This is the first time we have had that particular problem. Hopefully it will work out better for our little dog because she has seizures and gets stressed out easily. I think the Technicians did the best they could, I just hope the next time they can draw blood with one poke of the needle.

Welcoming, Compassionate, Friendly, Accommodating, Knowledgeable, Clean. The Doctors and the entire staff are top notch! My cat and I felt like a part of the family. We were there every week for 6 months. Sadly, I had to say, Until we meet again to my sweet Parker girl at 15 yrs. old. Thank you to all of you for your comfort during this very sad time. 💕

Front office staff is friendly, the technicians are wonderful and caring, the Drs really take their time and listen to you. Everyone is compassionate and kind. I recently lost my sweet cat of 14 years and while the experience itself was sad, the staff made it more bearable. During his last year, they always made sure he was seen when he got sick, even when it was near closing time. They just really care about your pet. Thank you for everything.

My dog became ill and it was Saturday. I called the office and told them my dog was ill they were very patient and listened to me as I explained his symptoms. The person on the phone told me that they were closing soon but if I was to leave my house right then they would not close but would wait for me. When I got there with my dog they were very professional and took such good care of him, I feel so blessed to have a vet I can go to where they go out of their way to take care of our animals thank you so much!

We love this office! It's always busy, as clearly every other pet parent in Viera does as well! They ALWAYS answer the phone, offer curbside technician appointments if necessary, and got my dog in for a same day emergency surgery. Everyone from the techs to the receptionists and vets are always friendly, compassionate, and never trying to sell you on anything unnecessary. The fees are very reasonable and both of our dogs have been treated wonderfully. 10/10 recommend for both preventative and emergency care!

Had a great run with our Lola.......Near the end of her life we needed a professional to help us navigate through multiple issues , mainly seizures...........Dr Gaudry and the assistants were there to the end..Very peaceful and no more pain for our loved one. We were given the facts and reality left us with no choice after all other options had been exhausted....Thank you for the compassion and humane services Dr. Gaudry and Staff.

We love everyone at this vet clinic! We recently had to say goodbye to one of our furry babies and the way they helped us handle the situation was outstanding! I can't recommend them enough, everyone was so kind during this hard time in our life, they helped with the cremation as well and the company they used was amazing too! Everything was handled with love ❤️ I can't thank them enough for everything they did for us!

We used Island Animal Hospital during our previous pet’s days and have never found a more compassionate and caring veterinary practice. Choosing them for our new puppy was a no-brainer and our first puppy visit was reassuring and thorough. We highly recommend them for care of your family member!
