My experience with Blount and Curry was amazing during a difficult time. They made the funeral so special and beautiful. They did way more than I expected. I would highly recommend them.

Eddie Rodriguez, the director of the funeral did such an amazing job with my family and I as they hosted our grandmothers (Parmenia Perez) funeral service. Memory Gardens is a well known and large cemetery in Tampa. The grounds are well kept, with large oak trees which shade a good part of the gravesides. I was trying to help my brother find the grave of his former father in-law, J.C. Johnson. The staff was extremely helpful in providing maps and guidance. I would periodically stop and walk around exploring where he was buried. It was very serene and well marked. Unfortunately, no one had placed a ground plaque for either he or his wife, Lillian; but, at one time there had been a vase at the site, which is no longer there. I blessed his burial area and prayed for his soul. My brother was glad to know when he'd passed away and where he is resting. He was a wonderful and an engaging man.

Blount & Curry did a great job with our dad's funeral. Tonya was the director of the funeral. She was very professional and showed us genuine sympathy and compassion. She put our minds at ease. She was a true blessing with her soothing words in our time of sorrow. Thank you Tonya for making sure my dad's funeral was flawless and worry free. Thank you, Tonya for caring.

Our family really want to say thank you so much to Alana for being the most wonderful and kindest person to help us set up my Uncle’s funeral. My uncle passed away due to cancer and we reached out to Blount and Curry Funeral Home referred by our monk that is doing the Buddhism ceremony. She was so informative, communicative, and went above and beyond to help my family and I through hard times. The funeral set up the visitation area beautifully. We were able to stay close to my uncle until the end and thank you so much for staying late for us to pick up my uncle’s urn on the same day to bring his ashes to the temple. I can’t really express how thankful we are to Alana. This is our first funeral and lost in our family and she made everything not stressful and run smoothly. Thank you so much for everything. I had no idea where to even begin, and Eddie guided me through every step of the way. He even went above and beyond and arranged for the navy honor guard to be there, making the service truly beautiful and memorable.

Mr Justin Boza and the fine staff at Garden of Memories did a fantastic job with regard to my dads, Jesse Barrios, funeral and all the arrangements. We had a very beautiful and memorable service in their Chapel and are thankful for the hard work by all who had a part in us laying our dad to rest. Sincerely, the Jesse Barrios family.

Everyone was professional but also sympathetic. They took care of everything in the smoothest possible way. The guest book was excellent, very detailed, just a treasure for safekeeping. Everything needed was provided. Funeral director was on top of everything.

I bought into this plan almost 30 years ago, unfortunately I recently had to use it. It was the best decision I ever made because all those years ago, we made our funeral preparations with no grief to cloud our thinking. We had an installment plan and paid it off. What was a very personal painful experience was handled with the utmost professionalism and Funeral Director, Eddie Rodriguez ensured that everything that needed to occur, happened. It was a smooth and seamless service. I am forever grateful, also knowing when it's my turn, it will be done with the same level of professionalism and care. Thank you!!

Our family would like to thank the entire staff at Garden of Memories Funeral Home. Everyone has been caring and attentive from day one. This is the hardest thing for any family to go through but you made it less stressful for us in so many ways. The staff went above and beyond their job to make everything run smoothly for us.

The facility and staff were great. JQ and Virginia are notable mentions… very attentive and went over and beyond. JQ reached out often and even arranged to meet me to bring items I left behind at the funeral. I am so grateful for the personal touches and how everything turned out. The only constructive criticism I have is that the reception hall really should have sound on TV for families that would like the audio on videos to be an option during service or reception.

My parents pre-arranged their funeral services since the early 90’s with Blount and Curry. I lost my father in 1996 and my mother just recently, and having the services all taken care of eased our pain. Upon my father’s passing, I purchased part of my funeral services and recently completed the cremation. Mr. Snyder was highly professional, courteous and above all compassionate during the entire process. As I said I am still grieving; however, having gone through this sad moments and experienced the smooth process, I highly recommend everyone to have pre-arranged funeral services.

Tameka made my experience run smoothly. She kept me informed every step of the way. She is very friendly and professional. When I call and she is not available I leave a message and she calls back within 10 minutes. The grounds are lovely and well taken care of. I would recommend Blount & Curry to everyone.

He was extremely cordial, reverant, patient and above all he remained light in heart for our heavy sadness. He was there for my daughters and I. There is no other Funeral Services that I believe could have done such a perfect and seamless job. Blount & Curry provided my family with cherished memories for our most beloved. And the comfort and care they gaves us at this time was truly generous and unforgettable. They provided us with knowing that we gave our beloved the best at this time of loss.

UPDATE: Marcie Burkman has responded to my post requesting I reach out to her to resolve the matter of my dad's death date. I will do that and post the outcome here. ORIGINAL POST: My dad had a burial plan with them. He passed away in 2014. I notified them and asked that they complete the contract by adding his death date to his marker. To date they have yet to add his date to his stone.

*Updated review: The placard had been ordered in February and arrived with a few days of leaving the review. It still doesn’t make up for the fact that it took so long to begin with but I appreciate the customer care and follow up Janice provided. **Original review: If I could give a zero, I would. I am writing this review out of anger because my family has been waiting for THREE YEARS to get a placard that shows the date of death of my grandmother. We have been told time and time again it has been ordered or is on back order. I will happily update my review if and when someone is able to help us.

Garden of memories has provided my family services for two of my family members. They are a compassionate company to work with. Their employees are compassionate and empathetic throughout the whole process . They don’t try to over sell you and let you lead with your loved ones wishes. They have a lot of options and are willing to work with you to make it the service that you want. I appreciate their help and would recommend them for anyone’s final arrangements.

Eddie and Steve made the whole process for arranging my grandfathers service easier, especially given that I was doing it from out of state. In a time with so many emotions present, they were able to make something so important be less stressful. The service was lovely and a wonderful way to say goodbye. I would highly recommend.
