Great pub, friendly welcome from staff and the pub dog. Very good selection of real ales. Darts board in a "dungeon" part of brilliantly quirky interior.

Working on the island and staying nearby. Pub was a great traditional sort of place; selection of ales and cracking Guinness. Pints were very well priced. Staff were really friendly and the locals were a great bunch - cribbage and darts nights when we visited so a great busy pub atmosphere. Extra bonus was the 'takeaway' service - get local food delivered or collected and they provide a plate and cutlery for your meal. A great place, great beer, great people. Wish I was more local!

Excellent pub with great atmosphere. Bar staff very friendly. Very interesting decor (you will see what l mean when you visit) They don't do food but are happy for you to get a takeaway & eat it inside, they will even supply the plates & cutlery for you.

Twice been here whilst on our holiday . Friendly staff and locals. Good selection of drinks. Big pub with plenty of character . Came out meeting people I now consider friends. Just what a pub should be.

Brilliant medieval decor. Lovely old traditional English pub. Very nice selection of beers, including cask. They offer the option of you bringing your own food in, which we did and it was the best of both worlds. Very friendly and homely staff. Will be returning, next time we're in Sandown.

Great place, the bar has been fully decorated for Halloween, lots of events organised for the weekend. Staff very friendly, had a great atmosphere to the place. Didn't eat there so can't comment.

Really friendly staff and locals. There was a bit of a wait to get served, but that's not a negative. I would rather wait 5 minutes to be served and be in a fairly full pub with atmosphere than be served instantly in a dead pub. Definitely going back for a lot more of the same.

Old style English Pub, with an absolutely charming courtyard garden. They don't do food but you can bring in a take away and they have lots of bar snacks to choose from. Have a good range on draught.

A traditional brittish pub with great real ale and friendly staff. Beer garden to rear. No food, but notices saying your welcome to order a takeaway to be delivered to the pub and they will provide eating utensils.

Great friendly local pub in sandown just off the main high street popular with both tourists and locals. Great prices. Has a good sized bar area and also a great size beer garden to the rear of the pub. They don’t serve food but are happy for you to get a takeaway delivered and will provide crockery. Well worth a visit

What a great pub. A good selection of draft beers. Warm inside when it's cold out. Nice staff. Friendly customers. Daisy, the pub dog to keep you company. What more could you want?

Such a lovely pub. Since moving from Derbyshire this has become our local. They have a good selection drinks with local ales. Really friendly staff and customers. I would highly recommend this pub. Daisy the border collie is a sweetie.

A really nice relaxing pub with big beer garden and the deco inside is something i've never seen before,was amazing and the people and bar staff were lovely,not forgetting daisy the dog.

A very friendly pub. Has a lovely cat and allows dogs in. There's a decorative garden out back but it's not as decorative as the inside. No spoilers I say check it out, as it's worth a look just for the interior alone. There is a nice selection of drinks (including locally made drinks) and snacks. The staff are very friendly as are the locals. Parking wasn't bad when we went but I'm guessing it could be off in the evening. They allow you to order take away and have a few menus inside.
