This is the go-to place for date night. The staff is good and the beer is amazing. They have seasonal beers that utilize nature's ingredients straight out of the Arizona wilderness, hence the name. The food is seriously perfect. If you enjoy going out and socializing this is the spot. The lighting is comforting, the wood decor gives you a woodsy feeling and it is probably my favorite bar in the east valley.

This place is awesome! Their brew masters know their craft more so than anyone I have ever met. They love what they do and it is contagious. Great atmosphere, great locally produced food, incredible beer. Ask for Matthew Myers, best in the business hands down.

Great food. Great beer. Great service. Dog friendly. Duck fat fries. Beer and gear shop. Tasting room. Put this on your must visit list.

A little pricey for a meal and drinks, but it's worth it since they support local farms and have implemented paper items instead of plastic. I also appreciate that they serve mixed drinks as well as beer since I don't drink beer. My husband enjoyed his Sweet Potato Saison and the margarita was good as well. Burgers were flavorful and juicy, love all the options!

Finally made it to AZ Wilderness. Best to go right when they open as it gets really busy. Food is served fast and the staff is super friendly. Make sure to add "Buy the Kitchen a Beer" to your tab. They deserve it.

Wonderful beer and drink options. Menu has a variety of different interesting items with lots of vegan/veg options. All the sides were delicious and the portions are big! Nice atmosphere and definitely a have-to-visit place for out of town visitors. Favorite place so far!

So amazing! Where to start? We were originally interested because they source locally, and we love supporting local business. Their food is incredible. We had the AZ Hot Fried Chicken sandwich, the Peanut Butter and Jalapeño Jelly sandwich, and the Tepary Bean Burger. When they say the sauce is spicy, they mean it, so we ordered the sauces on the side. The maple sriracha ketchup with the onion rings was awesome. They also compost with R City which we love. Overall we had a great experience here and would definitely recommend eating here!

All I can say is wow! I was craving a burger after work. I decided to walk to this local establishment and give it a second try. I had the bacon and blue burger with side salad and the garden. Herb vinaigrette. The burger was good and I actually was surprised by the garden. Herb vinaigrette. Seems these days I need to start watching what I eat. The server at the bar was great. Took care of all his customers at the bar and had a hustle in his step. The price was fair as well.

What an amazing place! I love the wide selection of amazing beer and the pub grub here is exceptional. Great service and we loved the patio experience. Their mission surrounding conservation and partnerships with local farms is also very admirable. Highly recommended for craft beer snobs.

This is AZ goodness. The vibes are chill and so welcoming. Good music, good food, and good service. Great for everyone - including those with littles. While we waited for our table (under 5 mins while they cleared a short table since we had our toddler), we noticed their beautiful planter box - growing basil, rosemary, and other wonderful herbs! Then upon reading through the menu, I realized they actually use their own harvested ingredients! And everything else is AZ grown & harvested. PLUS! They compost all our waist! This is what we want and it's what we all should aspire to be like. It's a good space - indoors & outdoors. Good TV setup for those sports fans. The menu is for foodies. Let's go again!

I absolutely enjoyed myself here. I got a bunch of flights to try out(not sure if that's how you spell it) the beer was amazing. Only had one that was questionable so I saved it for last to let me get a little alcohol down before finishing it. I ordered poutine, my friend ordered the after hike burger and we both left extremely full and loved every bite! The service was amazing, our waiter checked on us perfectly, not to much, not to little. The atmosphere was cool they were so packed we couldn't sit at the bar top so we were at a table inside. They have patio seating at well. Fun place, will be coming back.

I've been to breweries all across the US, and AZ Wilderness is solidly in my Top 10. There are many, many breweries that have mastered a specific type of brewing or style of ale... And then there are those who just understand how to brew beer. Any kind. This is one of those places. The delicious food is just gravy.

Just had a great meal again. Went off script and ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and fries. The chicken was perfect highly recommended. Tasted the house whiskey and it really brings out the notes of barrel char vs the others the bartender stated where finished in steel. As always the burgers here are amazingly prepared and finished with a true touch of ownership. They never feel like they are made fast to just get out of the kitchen. Only reason I am going 4 stars today was for the outside tables really need some attention make sure you have some extra wipes. Think it’s time to do a surface sand and seal on the tables again to make it easier to clean. Otherwise always happy come back and enjoy great food and service.

Every time I visit my brother, we go here to eat and have a beer. The food is always top notch, full of flavor, the portion size will fill you up and you can always enjoy it all with a wide selection of fresh brews! Super laid back staff, seating inside and out and music that isn't overbearing make this a great place to enjoy some food, a cold drink and great conversation!

Love it! Awesome, lighthearted environment. A perfect spot to go for some good drinks, great food and some laughs. Great place to meet up with friends. Husband ordered the Arizona Trail hamburger and fries cooked in duck fat, I had the hot chicken sandwich with the Belgian waffle dipped onion rings. Wow! Both were incredible!! They serve Coke products. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

5 stars because I'm a burger guy and their burger meat is fantastic! With great tasting meat, you can ditch the bun saving room so you can finish all of that patty! I did remove the cheese and onions to fit my dietary needs. The duck fat fries are to die for so make sure you order them. I go during my lunch break so I can't comment on their very large draft beer selection. The servers are nice and I enjoy the music selection.

Fun place, with an outstanding beer list and very tasty food. We had a flight of five beers, all were great and not too pricey. The western burger was HUGE, and delicious, the crispy onions a highlight. The service was also excellent, and very very fast! Really nice brewpub.

Stopped in first time ever there. Right off,Nice atmosphere. Very cozy. Decided after being outside to move it in doors. (a little crisp out). Dilon was our server. Great dude. Knowledgeable of products; from food to beverages! Me and my gal ordered the half pound wings, side of buffalo sauce. AZ. Wilderness Burger & fries, cooked in duck fat. We added a couple drinks. I had the Local Bourbon. My Gal the local Red Wine. Not too long after we had our meals. At first glance I felt the portion was a little small. There were (4) wings in a basket. W/Sauce and carrots. Unbeknownst to me these were pickled carrots. (a little hot but good). I felt this alone was a neat change up. The wings were lightly seasoned in a rub, great! Tender is an understatement. The meat come right off the bone. Juicy ,flavorful. Just a little tiny for the portion. The Burger we split was Juicy and very delicious. Burger nicely cooked, Bun fresh, pickles,Onions ( a little sweet for my taste but good).Aioli Sauce. The fries that came were hot but looked like the end of the bag. Dilon Addressed this and came back with fresh nice sized fries! Even offered a couple sample beers to try, Stellar! In a nutshell this is a cool gem to drop in. Open to all peeps! I saw family, A few children, Seniors, and Adults having a social. This is a great spot to be for anything you are in the mood for. Great Local drinks friendly pro staff. Yes; I'll be back again. Thank you Dilon;and Thank you AZ. Wilderness Brew Pub.

The food and beer were amazing. One of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. I asked to substitute the burger for chicken breast on the Downtowner and it was excellent. The chipotle ranch is fairly spicy for people who cannot handle too much heat I recommend getting it on the side. The beer flight had 5 beers for about $12 with about 5 oz pours. I thought this was a great deal to try many great beers! The Wabayum Wit was my favorite. Our server Hope was very friendly and offered suggestions. Food was ready quickly. The atmosphere with the outside misters and wilderness vibe was great. The only negative I would say is we asked for water and it came in a glass jug that we poured our own water with. However, the water tasted like chlorine. Must have been what was used to clean the jug. Excellent restaurant and brews!

They have the best patio around! Dog friendly, and the servers are so awesome to bring out a water bowl for them. You cannot beat their burgers and wings. Love that they are always changing their brew menu! And finally they have added wine and liquor to their menu as well.

Wow! This place is absolutely fantastic. Great selection of quality beers and a lively, open atmosphere. This is the kind of place where you can really kick back with a few friends and just enjoy yourself. Tried the Peanut Butter and Jalapeño Jelly Burger at the recommendation of a friend, skeptic of how good it could actually be, but man, it was incredible. The duck fat fries were pretty great as well! Overall, an awesome brewery and a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Best burger in Arizona. Cooked to perfection. Flavor so amazing you won't be disappointed. I had the "after the hike" and would recommend this to the entire world. Be prepared to spend a little money, perfection isn't cheap. 10 stars

Beer was great. Food met expectations. The abnormally long wait to pay my check was disappointing and totally uncalled for considering the number of employees vs guests. I haven't been here in awhile. I'm not inclined to recommend or go back soon.

This restaurant is soaring in popularity with great food and lots of beer and alcohol options. At lunch and dinner it is packed. They have 2 bars with dining options and a great patio. Apparently their hamburgers are to die for but I was enjoying the vegetarian options. I went back twice for the beet avocado and sweet potato salad. 5 stars

After a day of hiking, I made a great decision by coming here. The blonde was amazing, very refreshing. The veggie burger was great as well. Service is good. I definitely preferred to sit in the tap room as opposed to the main restaurant.

One of the best breweries in town! I've frequented this spot many times and it quickly became a favorite for the beer and the food! You simple cannot come here without getting some of their fries! We mixed it up this time and got the green chili sliders and tacos and they were great but I think their burgers are where it's at it!

Came here Monday 1/2/23 at the end of the lunch hour. We were seated quickly. My husband and daughter, who are the true beer drinkers, said they had an amazing variety of beers, including sours, ales and lagers. They said there was definitely something for everyone and it had good taste. They also had some Arizona themed cocktails and a wine. Food was pub fare and pretty decent. Dog friendly on the patio. Our service was outstanding! Great stop, especially if you're picking up someone from the airport.

We visited Az Wilderness for an early dinner around 4 pm. They were busy but were able to get a table outside right away. The restaurant was clean and all empty tables were bused. We opted for a table on the back patio, which was nicely shaded. We were greeted with some water within a couple of minutes after being sat. We first ordered a round of cocktails, which were very tasty. We followed those with some local beers they made on tap, which were also very good. The food was all very good, served with unique sauces. The staff was very efficient and friendly. Next time I'm in the area we will visit again.

"I had an incredible experience at Arizona Wilderness Gilbert Brewpub for my birthday! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Our waitress Railey was absolutely amazing - she made sure we had everything we needed and was so attentive to detail. The food was also fantastic - I highly recommend the burgers and the desert it was delicious Overall, I had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great meal and a fun atmosphere.

They have great food and drinks, but I believe their only alcoholic drink options are beer. I know it’s called a beer garden, but for some reason my husband and I assumed they would have a full bar. Not a big deal, just an observation and good to know if you have other alcoholic beverages you prefer other than beer. The food was tasty, I got a couple of tacos and they were pretty good. My husband got the poutine fries and he liked them a lot. They even have vegan options, which I was pleasantly surprised to see. However, when I went there I wasn’t vegan yet, but I have become vegan now so I thought it was worth mentioning in case there’s another vegan reading this. The service was very good, we had a very nice and attentive waiter. Everyone in our group did seem to enjoy themselves. Overall, it’s a nice brewery with good food and beer. Remember it does get very busy at times, especially in the evening’s and weekends of course. Just keep that in mind when you’re heading over there.

Lovely brewpub - cosy and attractive interior, great and friendly staff and brilliant selection of beers (the watermelon one was delicious!). Lots of vegan-friendly food. Had a tasty ‘chicken’ burger and fries. Good music playing too. Sweet place!

Been a customer for years, about once a month. Bought draft beer, Superstition Coffee Stout to go on 3 growlers (done it many times). 2 weeks later I opened one of the growlers and it tasted like perfume/soap. Looked in the growler and there were specks swimming around. Because of the pandemic I waited about 7 weeks to go back and ask for exchange. They refused to stand by their product. Last time I visit.

The beers were delicious (especially the Salome Saison), the food was great, and the service was excellent—until the end. Were it not for the final minutes of my visit, this review would be at least four stars. It's interesting that this establishment has last call at 15 minutes before closing and then scolds you and tells you you must leave in five minutes when they decide their night is done. (Keep in mind that you've already received your bill and paid before they say this.) So—in short—go here, but only if you're going early or are prepared to be unceremoniously booted while your beer is still half full.

Best Burger's on this side of town if not all of Phoenix. I Never would have thought in a million years that a PB&J Burger would be my favorite burger in the world. The peanut butter glaze with jalopenjo jelly is sooooooo good you should request extra and upgrade to duck fat fries so you can smoother those in it too. It's so good my husband and I always decide to share so we can try something else plus still have a taste of the all time favorite. Can't say I've had anything that wasn't delicious, whether you like beef or chicken neither had ever disappointed at this place. Bonus for beer tasters - Always a great variety of beers on tap for those who want a mug or two. With how good the food and drinks are at this place it can get pretty busy so be mindful of that when your trying to go here, not a place to go if your in a rush. This is a place you want to sit back and enjoy good company and good food.

WOW is all I have to say. My husband and I have made this our go-to treat-ourselves date night spot and have made multiple of our friends go and try it. The pork belly sliders are literally to die for. We get them every time and they are SO GOOD. The tasting room is a lovely way to pass the wait by with a beer, and a nice environment. It can get a bit crowded in the evenings and especially on weekends, but the patio space and surrounding standing areas are gorgeous. The staff is always very nice and I’ve never waited more than 20-30 minutes for a table, even on the busiest of nights. Definitely check them out!

Placed an order for takeout. They told me it would be ready at 6:15. It wasn't until 6:35. Got home and my chicken sandwich was rubber. Got to the middle and it was undercooked! Disgusting and dangerous. I will never come to back.

Food is good. Services is terrible. They take your order, someone else drops it off, then no one checks on you. Space food orders out. They deliver your apps then your dinner five minutes later. Not my first choice.

Best brewery in the valley. Not only is the beer great but the food is superior to every other brewery around and most restaurants. And to top it off the service is great. The Tasting Room has a great atmosphere and I have yet to have a less than excellent experience.

  • 5/5 Lisa N. 3 years ago on Google
Service was excellent. A few good vegan/vegetarian options. I had red pepper hummus and it was really good. People in my party had the burger and raved about it (one apple brie and one bleu cheese). I love the wheat beer. I got a flight and the wheat beer was my favorite. The decor is also super cute.

Their food is pretty freaking good Most of the time, but I’m really unhappy they’re not properly social distancing during this pandemic. We got their best opening so it was decently empty but as we waited for our food all the tables and bar filled up around us, and the dining room didn’t seem to have any tables removed from visits prior to the pandemic. I was half way in the middle of my meal so I want really sure what to do. We hurried up and left as quickly as possible and will be avoiding this restaurant indefinitely.
