We're going to skip the long review on this one. Place smelled like someone put a fish out of the freezer for about a week, just dirty rotten fish smell in the entire "restaurant". Waiter was below the floor when it comes to service. The food was absolutely atrocious, chicken tenders hard as boulders (maybe this is where they got their name from?). Burger was completely burnt. Incorrect food was received, ordered bone in wings got boneless. The boneless wings are as bad as they look on the menu, fatty, no flavor, and as hard as the chicken tenders, not even close to edible. I can see why this place is completely empty, I wouldn't be surprised if they closed their doors next week. I now see why they request you to order food from a phone app, because the wait staff is completely useless, the "cook" or "chef" is awful. My only recommendation for this place, is to save yourself the trouble and do not waste your money and most importantly your time on this place. We should have left after the appetizers were complete trash. Want a quick bite I'd recommend anywhere but here, I wouldn't wish this place upon my worst enemy.

If you're looking for a burger and a brew and find yourself in Mesa then may I suggest Boulders on Southern. They also serve good pizza, calzones, and comfort food. The have a great selection of beer on draft, bottles, and cans. You can also find them on Groupon to save some money. Thy are Covid-19 responsible please support our local businesses.

I ordered takeout because my boyfriend has an allergy to gluten and this place has a great variety of gluten-free options. However, after this last order, I may never do that again. I arrived on time to pick up my order, but when I went to the bar, they treated me like a door-dash driver. I waited 25 minutes for my food and figured they forgot to ring it in, but when I got home, the food wasn't even warm; it looked like it had been sitting there since before I got there, so why did I wait 25 minutes for it? Also, the Dr.pepper I ordered was missing, and my boyfriend's gluten-free bun. We have come here to eat, and the service was excellent but I don't see myself getting takeout again for sure.

We were in Mesa for a week and came to this restaurant and bar nearly every night. Staff is very friendly. Place is kid friendly and the food is phenomenal. Best hamburgers and wings in this area. If you haven't tried it you really need to stop in. So worth it!!!

Went there today for the first time. The steak and walnut salad is amazing! and the cauliflower wings were delicious. This will be our go to bar from here on out. It was a great find!

Dined at boulders several times and each visit the food and atmosphere did not disappoint... Great old school music, lots of TV's, great energy, games, varied seating, great appetizers, wings, burgers, salads and bottled root beer. Ordering is simple with their online QR code site. I look forward to my next visit.

I’m a big fan of juicy non fatty Tangy Buffalo wings with a flavor you’ll want to come for often. Here’s a place you can enjoy a medium level spice that doesn’t burn your face off. Instead you’ll have the perfect combo of perfection. I wasn’t crazy about the dry rub but I prefer saucy wings instead anyway. The BBQ pizza was outstanding and must try at least once. The Monterey Ranch pizza was good with onion rings but lacked a stronger flavor I was hoping for. Artichoke dip was amazing for an appetizer! Fun environment too.

I drove by this place and was curious because of the name. Inside was "Rustic" and it had its own look. The first booth I sat in had a broken seat underneath the cushion so moved to another. The ordering system is based on an app. If you don't want to download the app you can get a menu but it doesn't have prices. I'm tired of downloading apps to eat at one restaurant so I asked for the printed version. Overall there should be something you will like. The chicken Pesto sandwich looked great and had some good flavors. I kept thinking there needed a little something more in it. The Cesar salad was one of the better ones I have eaten so a definite plus. Prices are on the low side for quality food. Overall I think this would be a great hang out for friends and a reasonable bite to eat.

We went in on Saturday night after our son's wedding. We had about 10 people go in and we were wanting food. Our server was not very nice and was rude about us coming in 30 minutes before the kitchen closed. Then when we were there he ignored us. Deeply disappointed in the entire place which was completely different than our 1st encounter with the manager over the summer. We won't go back.

This place was amazing!! From the moment we walked in everyone was so nice! Our waiter Elijah was so attentive to all of us! We were a large group of women out for a bachelorette party and he was great to all of us! And the manager David was so hilarious and keeping us so entertained we will definitely be back!!

Variety of delicious salads, burgers, pizzas, apps. Some spicy selections. Good, attentive service. Lively atmosphere with sports, games, trivia, karaoke. Various drink specials. Most importantly - an open late-nite kitchen.

We stayed at an air b and b up the street. Found this place around the corner. It was the right place to stumble upon. The bartender was great! The food was right for the price, not complaints. All in all, stop in and order. They play good music!!!

My beef tacos were not tasty and the meat was very tough to chew. The waitress never once checked on us once except when she served our drinks/food and picked up our dirty plates. The establishment was not busy as far we could see. My wife’s fish and chips, however, was delicious! Very good atmosphere outside and dog-friendly.

My fiancé and I went to Boulders on Southern Monday evening, it was our first time there and we thought the menu looked great and we’re excited about a nice meal out. We walk in and the sign says seat yourself which is fine, but no one greeted us and we walked past 2 servers . Ok not a big deal. Once we take a seat and a sever came up to take our order for drinks I asked if she had normal menus instead of scanning the code that was on the table and she was rude about it. My phone was about to die. So I’m like no we re probably misreading her. She comes back with waters and then my fiancé asked about the prices since there were none listed in the menu. She then rolled her eyes so hard and looked so bothered we dare ask pricing. she proceeded to walk away and then I asked my fiancé if he saw her roll her eyes , he didn’t . I asked him if we should go and he agreed ! We also were 1 of maybe 5 tables there so they weren’t overly crowded. Too bad for that experience because I was really excited to try that place out. It looked cool

Go to the Broadway location. This one doesn’t compare. We were excited to see there was a Boulders closer to where my brother lives in Mesa but found ourselves disappointed. The spinach artichoke dip tasted nothing like what it should, the veggies were still frozen, and multiple orders came out wrong.

Haven't even left and the appetizers alone make me love it here. Food is obviously made in house and very good. It's a Sunday night and slow but very nice atmosphere and a great place for friends to chill.

Tara is the greatest bartender EVER! Last August my company sent us to Mesa for training and we discovered Boulders. We went again this week. Tara not only remembered us, but knew exactly what i wanted to drink and also recommended a different beer that she thought I'd like more... and she was right! Friendly, welcoming and excited to see us. This girl is a gem! Go see her!!!

Boulders on Southern is a great sports bar and restaurant! They have many delicious options to choose from and are super friendly. The food is served fairly quickly and it is very good. I highly recommend trying the nachos! This place can be loud, especially if you go on trivia night.

I’ve passed by sooo many times and finally stopped to try this place… read some of the reviews and I must say my husband and I were so satisfied! The atmosphere, music and laughs make this place that much more enjoyable. I believe we were served by 2 gentleman but I can only remember Justin (I think) super friendly and explained the menu also answered any questions. Food came out in a timely matter and was sooo delicious! Definitely recommend the Chuck Norris Pizza! We also got artichoke dip and wow! My fav ever! We will be returning! Hands down 5 stars!!!! Thank you for the pleasant experience

Great atmosphere, great food, and great service! Their food always surprises me on presentation and taste. Monday is my favorite day to visit because they have 50% off pizzas!

Ordered a fruit roll up and a mimosa. Cheapest drinks ever! Horrible taste! I paid online thru their menu application and left after I forced myself to drink. $20 for 2 cocktails. First time & the last time since the bartender felt that was acceptable to serve!

Met friends for lunch. Food was great! The Waitress should have had roller skates on! One girl had all of us ... almost 30! She handled all of us. Everyone's order was delicious!

Trip number two and love it so far. Got here at 1130 and the fresh croutons were still warm and amazing on the Caesar Salmon salad was so good. Salty capers with potatoes and green beans was perfect with the salmon. Loved it Plus they have cider Corp sangria cider..so big win for me

The service was absolutely fantastic. The best I've ever had. The guys who waited on us were kind, thorough, efficient and funny. The jerk chicken salad was only mediocre, but the pizza bites my daughter ordered were so delicious. If we lived nearby, I can imagine making this a regular spot. It has that feel to it. If you're in the area, I recommend you check it out.
