What a fabulous find! A superb locally owned and operated restaurant and wine bar. Such a relaxing and refreshing dinner restaurant. Food was top notch and flavorful. They are very attentive to any food allergies you might and didn't make a big deal about it. We enjoyed the whole experience while dining there. Definitely going back and joining the monthly wine club. Check it out, you'll enjoy ever part of it.

What a find! Stepped in to a delightful restaurant with real friendly hosts. The service and conversation is only out done by the taste of the food. Enjoyed so much came back the next night to try something different and it was great too. Chicken Parmesan was fantastic with a little kick of spice. Shrimp scampi was quite tasty. The beer was cold and the best part was Sally the waitress one of the honest real people you meet.

I had the Hatch Burger and it was great. The service was also excellent. Ate there again today. I had the Hatch burger again and my wife had the chicken hatch sandwich. Same waitress (Cindy), same great service. Food was excellent.

Hidden gem! πŸ’Ž Stopped in on a Sunday for brunch and was very impressed by il Vinaio. This is the spot for bottomless mimosas for brunch, a rare find. 🍾 I was in a lunch mood so I had a beer with the green chili bacon burger and fries. The burger was so good! My friend had an omelette that looked amazing so I will definitely try a breakfast dish when I return. Highly recommend this spot if you’re a brunch or burger fan. Great service and even better food. Can’t beat it! Pro tip: Bottomless mimosas cap out at 99 flutes so make sure you have a DD! 🍾

I'm really baffled why this place has such good reviews. I had looked to see if they accepted reservations online, but I couldn't find any way to on Yelp or their website; so we rolled the dice. When we walked in the host/server asked us how many, I said 4. Quick on the server's heels was the manager. She asked if we had a reservation. I said no that I couldn't find a place to do it online she replied, "You have to call". Would be nice if their website indicated that. She then proceeded to tell us they were short staffed and would try to squeeze us in. I looked around the restaurant and there were 2 tables with people. We should have turned around right then and there and walked out. Our server took us to a table near the kitchen. A few minutes later there sounded like an argument between the manager and the chef. Again, we should have got up and left. We went ahead and ordered thinking all the reviews that ranted and raved about how good the food was would make up for the weird start. Sadly, the food was just meh. Very bland and nothing special, but on the expensive side The lobster Mac and cheese was horrible, especially at $23. I would never go back here again!

Good food, good people! Enjoyed our first visit here. Great menu. We had the Salmon and Filet Mignon. Both were so good. Salmon was do tender. Try the loaded mashed potatoes or twice baked potatoes! We will be back next time we are in the area.

Came for our anniversary and had an amazing time! Nice fine dining atmosphere and the food was the best I've ever ate! Glad I ordered the delicious appetizer and the burger melted in my mouth. 10/10 would recommend. The chef even came out so we could thank him personally and he gave us some tips on how the delicious food was prepared. Amazing service! Hats off to everyone involved πŸ‘

First of all Cam and Cyndi are just the best! Customer service is excellent. The food is delicious and the menu has quite the variety. There is something for everyone! The Vegan Lentil soup is so delicious. Also, the Pork Posole is so savory that you just want to pickup the bowl and pour it into your mouth. NO KIDDING!!! This restaurant has been a staple in Downtown Mesa for quite some many years. Very quaint with a wonderful wine and beer selection. They have a new server there named Josh and he is just so sweet and fabulous! Check il Vinaio out if you haven't yet. You will not be let down!

Reservations accepted. This is an anniversary/special occasion type of place. ❀️ As other reviews noted, the food is good, flavors lovely, here is a chef that makes culinary art for the palette, not just a visual affect. Came for the gluten free options, and was not disappointed! GF bread was delicious, gf brownie with ice cream for dessert was a special treat! My husband (regular diet) was equally impressed with the food and flavors. Best Italian food we have experienced. Definitely worth your time in Mesa, Arizona!

We made a random stop here because another local sandwich place was too busy, and we are really glad we did! Our server was very accommodating and the food was delicious with really good portions. Definitely recommend!

Pros: Great service. Nice atmosphere. Bruschetta appetizer was great tasting. Cons: Entry dishes were so so tasting for the whole table. Desert was decent, though had some leftover wrapping on it so we can assume was ordered from somewhere else. Two of the dining party got food poisoning. So, keep the wait staff, fire the kitchen staff, redo the whole menu with a new chef, and you will potentially have a great place.

I don’t think I could say enough good about this restaurant! The food and service were both spectacular! Fine dining at a reasonable price. The steak was cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of seasoning. The bruschetta was just the right amount of crunchy. The shrimp was Cajun spicy and the risotto creamy. And, their house made limoncello marscapone cake is to die for! Props to our server, Josh, and the owners who both came to say hi and wish us a happy anniversary. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This is my favorite restaurant I've ever found. If you want filling, flavorful, authentic Italian food, you HAVE to try it. Every dish my partner and I have tried has been amazing. Wait times are short, the atmosphere is welcoming and unrushed, and they have a great selection of drinks. There will be something for everyone. The fact they partner with other local businesses is another favorite selling point of the restaurant for me. Keep doing what y'all are doing!

Wow, I've been working around the downtown Mesa area for several years and never knew of this place. Found them online and won my interest with the amazing Angus Burger pics!! It did NOT disappoint! Add the fried egg :o) The Bruchetta is a must. Not only was the food outstanding and Cindy was a lovely server, but the AMBIANCE is hands down the cherry on top of our experience!! Loved it, will return again and again! Thanks Cindy :o)

Not much to look at on the outside, but the inside will make you feel at home! Amazing space, great customer service, and great food! Loved the Bruschetta, and the shrimp risotto was also quite tasty. Haven't had a chance to dine in yet, as this was my first stop after work to grab to go, but will post another review once I do so! Until then, I definitely recommend you try this place for yourself.

My wife and I tried this restaurant because of the reviews for gluten free bread and pasta and it was worth it! Great atmosphere. Loved the food. The owners were very gracious and helpful. Definitely worth going to!

The restaurant was very clean, the staff was beyond friendly. They helped me pick out a couple dishes and they were amazing. I had the antelope burger(well done) and it was so tasty and juicy. It was like a beer burger but on steroids. Next was the shrimp scampi. Again, food was too notch. The pasta was perfectly cooked and had so much flavor. The shrimp was huge and had a generous portion. Overall, I'll definitely be dining here again. It's my new go to spot, band if you're smart, it'll be yours too.

Didn't know what to expect when I walked into this place as it looked like we'd gone back in time with the decor. We were served by a very friendly lady, who was very attentive. The shrimp starter was great but the antelope burger was fabulous. Highly recommend this place.

I spent 30 bucks for a horrible burger and cheesecake. I ordered my burger well done with fries. And it took less than 5 min to complete the order. The burger or my bun were worth 30 bucks. The cheesecake wasn't much better either. Honestly I would have preferred a big Mac or whopper it would have been fresh and hot atleast.

Came on a Sunday and had the bottomless champagne and some breakfast. It was a great experience. The staff were kind and patient. The feel of the restaurant had a great vibe to it. We will most assuredly be returning. The menu has many things I'd love to try and it's hard to pass on bottomless champagne.

I had dinner here for the first time over the weekend after driving by it for 2 years. My in-laws have lived in Mesa for over 30 years, and it’s been around since they’ve been in Mesa. I had the Hatch Green Chile Burger with fries, and it was outstanding! The flavor was excellent and it was cooked perfectly. My wife had the shrimp risotto and that was also delicious! They had Dr. Dave playing music that evening and it made for a great atmosphere. He wasn’t t playing too loud so you could still hear the conversation at your table, and he took requests! Sally was our server and she was such a joy to get to know. This place is a Mesa staple and if you haven’t been, you should check it out!

Stop here for the first time tonight. WOW. What a great time. Food was to die for. Over the top real homemade! The place is relaxing and the service was the best. Prices are great. Will be back soon. I could just have soup and bread.
