Went to the open house. Just a walk through before it is dedicated and closed to public viewing. Neat to see the old murals painted on burlap. The builders of this temple gave what they could to make it beautiful inside. Very "ancient temple" feel inside. Beautiful structure and grounds are open to the public all other times. Quiet, serene feeling. I encourage a visit to the Visitor Center where you can learn of the history of the Mesa Temple and also learn about doing family history.

If you wanna learn how to bring honor to your ancestry, please visit the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. Don’t be like myself, someone who used to judge a book by its cover. The temple can bring you pure peace. Pure joy, and happiness to all. You can study with Missionaries for free, without obligation. Again, please visit the website listed above. Sincerely, Dennis Schleicher

I think this is a more than worthwhile stop, whether or not you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ. The peaceful grounds provide a good background for meditation and reflection-no matter your religious faith or no religious faith. Most people seek for places they can feel serene. This is one of those places. I came here as a lonely 18 year old decades ago, going to college here from out of state. I wasn’t actively practicing religion at that time, but the feeling on these grounds brought me back every Sunday night before I started a new week. This temple, while sacred to me, doesn’t have to represent the beliefs of those who visit the grounds in order for it to feel like a place of solace and peace. A temple is a gift to all people in a community, and even after the open house has concluded (everyone is welcome!), the grounds will remain open for the public to enjoy.

Everyday after I leave class I see this building that is really pretty and I found out it was the Mesa Arizona Temple. I went there right before the sunset in the sky. You can walk the grounds and they have a visitor center but I just walked the grounds. They do have guided tours of the inside at certain times. I Loved just walking the grounds. The grounds were so busy with people taking wedding pictures/family pictures/graduation or prom pictures. It wasn't too crowded to the point where you couldn't get good pictures. Everyone was respectful of each other. The grounds are beautiful and it is amazing to go at sunset.

What an incredibly beautiful and peaceful place! The grounds are simply lovely! I've taken several photoshoots with different families or couples here. We attended the Easter Pageant here and it was AMAZING! As far as the inside, I love the way I feel there, and the beautiful artwork! It has a lot of history in it, that translates through the castle-like walls and colors. I have also always loved the relief sculptures that depict the gathering of Israel.

I attended as part of their Open House and this place was stunning!! The architecture and design details were so, so beautiful. The tour guides, staff, and volunteers were knowledgeable and so sweet and as a non-Mormon, I felt so awe-inspired by this unique opportunity. I do hope the temple considers opening up to the public more often because I truly feel that everyone should have an opportunity to experience the history and beauty of this place.

The most incredible things happen here. I have been fortunate enough to enter several times and was able to go through during the open house where anyone is welcome. I have felt the most incredible spirit here and feel closer to my husband and family when we visit.

Don’t miss this outstanding light and nativity display. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Arrive as the sun is setting as crowds will be arriving. Parking is limited at location. It’s a great walk and a mobility scooter can be used.

This temple is beautiful! The renovation was successful in restoring this place of worship to its full majestic appeal. Anesthetics aside, this place provided me peace as soon as I stepped through its doors, as with every other temple I've visited and done the Lord's work in. The temple workers were welcoming, friendly and supportive. It is now one of my favorite temples.

Wow, this is one of the temples I have always wanted to go to in person and it was beautiful. The grounds are landscaped so beautifully and while we were there they were getting ready to rehearse the Easter Pageant. Sad we won’t be there to see it and that we didn’t have time to go insides, but glad we went!

The house of the Lord. Here is where heaven and earth meet. This is literally where you can commune with God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Restored Church of Christ established on the Earth. The Easter Pageant is open to the general public and is an amazing musical focused on the life of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Since the 11th Article of Faith states, “We claim the privilege of worshipping God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.” -all are welcome here at the Mesa Temple to find answers or to just enjoy the beauty of nature all around. This place is amazing for the peace that it brings to it. Many people walk the gardens or sit on the benches. Since it is a dedicated temple, members can perform life saving ordinances inside. For those that aren’t recommend holders, there is a visitor’s center at the southwest corner of Lesuer and Main St. This place is awesome to have as a go-to spot to get closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. Even if you don’t believe in Jesus Christ or God, the peace that can be found here can really help you connect with that which you want to connect with.

The Mesa Arizona Temple is a beautiful building and grounds for any visitor to Mesa Arizona. The carvings on the outside of the building are of pioneer handcart companies who braved the trek west and some settled in the south west and others settled in the Midwest and still others went further west to the Oregon Territories. There is a huge beautiful park across the street with sculpted statues, commemerating some of the members of the handcart companies. Many made Mesa and the surrounding area their home. A nice city with friendly communities. Lots of walking trails, bicycling, nice picnicking areas, boating, swimming, fishing, sightseeing, etc.

Please visit the temple during the month of December! Just a wonderful environment to learn about the birth of Jesus. We happened to go after Christmas at Sunset. Such a stunning sunset and not too many people at that time. Go to the visitor center as well to educate yourself and other about the history of the Temple. The missionaries as always are very helpful and kind to answer questions.

Absolutely beautiful Temple! I got to go through it during the open house and it's so amazing. You can tell that it's a sacred place and somewhere where the lord can dwell in your soul.

I gave it two stars for the beauty alone. If you are not a member the Mormons will not allow you inside to look around. How can you feel welcome or decide if you would like to join or learn more if they shun you?

I love our Temple. This is just another awesome thing that is done there. The Christmas light event just gives those that are not members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. An opportunity to visit and see beautiful light displays and other displays. And if interested there are missionaries located everywhere to give info on the Church.

The Christmas World Nativity Collection at the Visitor Center was very nice. Mesa Temple Grounds was beautifully decorated with lights. It definitely got me in the Christmas mood.

The grounds are peaceful and beautiful. The Christmas lights are a must-see (from the Friday after Thanksgiving to December 31st) and so is the Easter Pageant! Don't forget the Visitor's Center across the street! But the thing that I love most about the Mesa temple is what happens inside. It's a place where I can feel peace and God's love for me, where I can get answers to prayers, where I can learn more about my Savior Jesus Christ. It might be my favorite place on earth!

WOW! I am not LDS so I was never able to get inside the temple. When I saw advertisement about the open house, I wanted to go see it! There were a lot of people there and I was happy that the line looked very long but it went really fast. Inside the temple was so beautiful. The artwork on the walls are priceless. Paintings after paintings and they have several walls that the entire wall was painted. That's got to take years to do. They told me the last time they had an open house was like 30 years ago. Excited that I got to see it.
