We stayed here for a soccer tournament and everything was excellent. The common area is great for get together if you are traveling with others, the breakfast is fantastic (and the woman who runs it is incredibly nice and cheery), and the rooms are spacious with great views. Also there is a fitness center and rooftop pool and fireplace area with beautiful views of a local hiking spot nearby. What was best though was the proximity to the restaurants and shops nearby. There is so much to do and so many great eating spots. I would love to stay at this hotel again. It is a bit pricey, probably a factor of its newness, suite style room, and location.

The hotel is nice. Offers a very nice breakfast with a great assortment and a nice space. Convenient to many places to eat. Convenient parking. Great, friendly staff at the front desk! As far as the room...nice having a kitchen though it took me two days to find the dishes as they were all in the dishwasher, a couldn't, desk and separate bed area (bed was hard and the pillows are too soft and flat). Kitchen sink had scorching hot water and no cold water. But these were made aware to the front desk and they were very receptive to let maintenance know. Nice pool on the rooftop and firepit! Only one working elevator out of four. Stayed 3 nights on military rate and wanted to extend our stay two more nights but the price doubled so have to go to somewhere else. Would have loved to stay.

Very nice hotel, full suite style rooms with dishwasher and fridge. The room was very well maintained. Lobby and breakfast experience were very nice. Would recommend to family or business travelers alike.

The front desk is very nice, the rooms are clean, and the kitchen has MOST of the items necessary to cook. Will I book again? Yes, definitely. Also very close to ASU and quite literally right in front of the light rail and many local free bus options. If it’s cool enough this hotel is also in walking distance to main area with restaurants and bars on S Mill Avenue.

Four amazing nights at a beautiful hotel. Close enough to everything, yet in a quiet location. Paige W. made our groups stay easy to plan, and was there for anything we needed. Bryn D. was helpful along the way, and was always smiling. The renovations to the lobby were getting their finishing touches and look fantastic. The rooftop pool / hot tub were the perfect afternoon relief we needed. The cool nights by the fire pit allowed our group to socialize under the Arizona sky.

I was very pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed our stay in a nice two room suite. Great location, short cab/Uber from the airport and right next to Sun Devil Stadium.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay. It's such a convenient, central location, with garage parking via elevator. Gorgeous roof top pool, hot tub, fire pit, views. Clean fitness room. Kind front desk. The construction had absolutely no impact on our stay... we actually loved the 2nd floor breakfast room (free, hot & fresh). And, one associate was super kind in helping us locate an item my daughter left behind. We'd stay here again without any hesitation!

Alexi Hernandez is certainly not interested in Providing good services for anybody, especially Platinum Elite members!!!! I am just saying…I never spent one night in this room, not even a full minute, the cleaning lady spoke to me like I was homeless , from the check in to the contractor construction 🚧. It was just nice a good experience and aI EMAILED the property manager and left couple calls WOW !!!! I feel If I was a white person, they would have handled me more professionally, and respectful. Perhaps It’s time to join the rest of my family at the Hilton brand😐

Spent two nights here. The location of the hotel is very convenient if you are planning for a college tour or visiting your kid at Arizona State University. It is located right across from the campus. The rooms are well appointed with a small kitchen. The outdoor pool, jacuzzi and exercise room are on the 11th floor (rooftop) and provides an excellent place to relax. Breakfast is complimentary and has a good selection of food that is consistent with other Residence Inns and Springhill suites. Staff was more reserved than in most Marriott hotels I have stayed at.

I travel a lot and have stayed at so many hotels and no one has gone so above and beyond for me than Patti. I was leaving for a flight at 3AM which I mentioned at check-in and she offered for someone to walk me to my car in the parking garage but also had a breakfast bag ready for me when I came downstairs to take with me since I was leaving several hours before their complimentary breakfast started which as someone who can’t skip breakfast this meant so much she put in all this effort to help make my stay better. My room was also nice with comfortable bed and having a full kitchen would be nice for anyone visiting their children at ASU which you’re basically on property of.

Nice quiet and clean hotel in the center of Tempe. Inexpensive and close to the airport of Phoenix. The have a rooftop pool with a seating area, that offers an amazing view on the city of Phoenix with the surrounding landscape. I enjoyed my stay here very much.

Great place to stay. But I left something in my room upon check out. I called them as soon as I got home. Reported it. Was told someone would call me back they never did. It was a company cup that I left.

I was there for a work trip. The rooms were nice, the towels were a bit worn, but,.. Susie at the breakfast buffet was a gift. Too bad you can't replicate her in all hotels. She was kind, not overbearing and helped start each day off well. ❤️

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Residence Inn in Tempe, and I must say, the experience was largely positive. The hotel’s location is a standout feature, situated conveniently near the campus, making it an ideal choice for visitors with business at the university or those wanting to explore the area. One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast. It offered a great variety of choices, all fresh and delicious, providing a perfect start to the day. Additionally, the cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, including the room I stayed in. The room was not only spotlessly clean but also surprisingly spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and feel at home. However, there was one area that could use some improvement - the gym facility. While it’s great that the hotel offers a fitness center, I found it to be quite small. More importantly, it lacked adequate strength training equipment, which was a bit of a letdown for someone who looks forward to maintaining a workout routine while traveling. In summary, the Residence Inn at Tempe offers a very good stay with its excellent location, free breakfast, and clean, spacious rooms. It’s an excellent choice for those visiting the campus area. The only shortcoming is the limited gym facilities, but this is a minor issue in the context of an otherwise excellent hotel experience. I would definitely recommend it to those traveling to the area, especially for those who prioritize location and comfort.

What a great place. We ended up staying in this hotel for over two months with our dog when our house was repaired after a leak. Never did I imagine insurance would put us in such a wonderful place. The staff is exceptional and made us feel so at home. Everyone was fabulous, but we got especially close to ivy, sineka (sp?) and Caitlin. Rooms were fantastic, and while it wasn’t home, they made sure we were so comfortable. Thank you to the entire team.

I stayed at this hotel in October 2023 and I was very impressed by the quality and service. The hotel is in a great location, close to ASU campus and many restaurants and shops. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a full kitchen, a sofa bed, and a balcony. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of variety. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool was a nice bonus. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tempe. I give it 5 stars out of 5.

We went for a concert in september. The view from the pool area was amazing. We had a large room with two beds and a pull-out. Full size fridge and even a dishwasher. Everything was very nice. However I did not like waking up to someone working outside my window the day after the concert when we were planning on sleeping in. I am grateful he did wait till 9:00. I had just got back from grabbing breakfast but the boys were still sleeping.

This place is extremely clean and has amazing views of Tempe. The staff is very rude there, austere and does not offer the type of warm greeting I’m used to at Hilton hotels or even two star motels. The kid friendly environment got sort of loud between the rooms, and there wasn’t a lot of grocery store options near. This area of Tempe is loud, but it was nice to have my own private suite with a cool pool. I just wish the entertainment areas offered snacks.

Stayed at Residence Inn Tempe Downtown from 8/26/23 - 8/28/23. Check-in was very easy. They do hold a $20 deposit for incidentals per day. $15 for parking per day in a covered garage that is attached to the hotel so easily able to access the hotel/parking garage. Customer service was 5 stars. Location: Prime location in downtown Tempe right next to ASU and a short walk to Tempe Beach Park. Right next to a large bus terminal for public transportation. There are several restaurants and bars in the area, so food options are almost unlimited. Room: Rooms are fairly large and include a kitchen area that has a full-size refrigerator, 2 eye stove tops, cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishwasher, etc. The bathroom is a decent size. However, it is not a walk-in shower it is the standard bathtub/shower combo that you need to step into, so something to keep in mind. Booked a room with a balcony, and the view from the balcony was amazing (see my videos in this review) however you can go to floor 11 which is where the pool/jacuzzi is located to get pictures of the city day/night. Property: Property is well maintained and kept up with. Lobby area especially for breakfast is big and will seat a large amount of people. You have to use your room key in order to enter the hotel via any doors, which is not a bad thing to ensure the safety of all. Pool and jacuzzi were amazing. Pool was Luke warm water (not cold), and jacuzzi water was hot but not overpowering, but the jets for the jacuzzi were not the best and not high-powered. Pool closes at midnight, which will allow you to enjoy the pool/jacuzzi when the sun is down and it's not as hot. Towels are available in the pool area. The gym area is small but adequate, which includes free weights. Breakfast: Free breakfast that includes scrambled eggs, sausage patties, make your own waffles, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, yogurt, bread/muffins, cantaloupe, apples, hard boiled eggs, cereal, coffee, apple & orange juice. Loved this hotel and would definitely recommend it and stay again when I am in the area. 5 stars. See my pictures and videos that are attached. I hope this review helps someone when deciding to book.

I'm sure the rooms were great I ju,st didn't stay there. I was there to show my wife support for a interview to work there. I will tell you that when entered the lobby it niiicce! I thought the layout was pretty tight. I know now why Marriott is considered one of the finest hotels around. Go Marriott!

I love residence Inn, I travel a lot all over the country and staying at residence Inn gives me a familiar place to go, wherever I am. That familiarity allows me to sleep better, to rest after work in a familiar place, cook my own food, and kind of feel like I’m at my home away from home. tempe is one of my favorite locations – the rooftop pool and spa, the beautiful sunsets while you relax by the fire pit, it really adds to the whole experience. The staff is super nice, and housekeeping really takes care of you. I stay at this Residence Inn every year when I visit Tempe and will continue to do so!

Stayed here for a staycation. The rooftop pool was nice and clean. Room had a great view with balcony, clean and stocked. The service was great, staff was friendly. There's a self serve buffet breakfast that was good as well. Location was good, able to walk to mill Ave for adult time.

This location is great for families of ASU students. Walking distance to everything you need and want to visit. Parking garage helps a lot as it's very hard to park in Tempe/ASU areas.

We were placed here by insurance due to a house flood. Since majority of our life is here including our dog, we have asked three times for them to only service the room on Sundays. This is after they told us they only do weekly housekeeping on a scheduled basis. They have came multiple days except Sunday, sometimes within the same day, while we are working. They come days we are not there, but since there is no safe present in the rooms, our possessions have been left out and misplaced (still looking for some). On top of that, they scratch the surface at "cleaning", and essentially just make the bed, and vacuum the bed/blanket with the same vacuum the same vacuum used on floors in multiple rooms (repulsive). Our room has a pleasant view of a disgusting water drain and anti bird wiring, which the pigeons continuously land on noisily and make sounds of pain or frustration through the night and day. Do not recommend for extended stays. Absolutely at an end of my wits with their lack of organization. Two stars as general staffing downstairs, the women and gentleman who set out breakfast and keep lobby straight, are kind and good people people as well as workers.

Room was ok. Bathroom i didn’t feel comfortable in. The bathtub had a weird looking brown thin in it and had a little mold growing I think. The bedroom was nice and the kitchen was great. I thought the utensils already in the drawer were convenient and the frodge was amazing.

Had a stay planned for two nights but our flight got canceled and we had to stay another night. The whole staff was friendly and accommodating. We had to chat via the app for a couple of things and they were very quick to get back with us. The rooftop is awesome

Rooms are good. Spacious and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Just a simple issue: the key cards are magnetic in nature. Therefore, if we keep them anywhere near phone they stop working. We need to go down and get it fixed. They should really get this fixed.

Very nice and clean hotel. Its location was ideal since it’s closed to a bunch of place. Within walking distance to the nightlife or the the rail. The rooftop was beautiful and had an amazing view. Breakfast was good too. However it doesn’t come with free parking. The rooms are pretty but extremely tiny. The restroom door barely cleared the toilet.

Walking distance central to many great spots for food and drinks. Although in the midst of some infrastructural upgrades, the access is easy and lobby is clean and convenient. The covered parking garage is well lit and secure. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The mini-suite with full kitchen is adequate. Check in and checkout were seamless, and the breakfast offers from 6am to 9am were delicious. Very tasty free coffee.

Small rooms but very nice. No view though. Bathroom is nice. Pool is small. Made for like one family at a time. I had to wait till 6 in morning to find an opportunity to get in.

Enjoyed my stay very much, Maria in Bistro was excellent, the food was delicious. Our room looked at A Mountain. The rooftop pool/jacuzzi/fire pit was tremendous. Took in a movie at nearby AMC Theatre and had dinner at Mellow Mushroom!!!

Has the look and feel of a brand-new hotel. Good breakfast options. Handy to the university and downtown Tempe. Fee for parking, but less than many other places charge, and parking is adjacent and feels safe. Staff could be a little more engaged.

Have stayed here a couple times and will continue coming back when I visit Tempe. Prime location right on the ASU campus and plenty of food and market options within walking distance. The rooms are clean and the hotel breakfast has everything you need.

We flew out to AZ for my son’s swim meet and stayed in this beautiful hotel that was highly recommended by his team. It was very convenient because it’s just a couple of blocks away from ASU’s Mona Plummer Aquatic Center, where the swim meet was hosted. Our studio was very clean, and cozy. We had two TVs and watched the exciting World Cup. The beds were very soft and comfortable. The breakfast was really good, the variety of healthy food was appreciated, especially because there were so many athletes that needed to fuel up before their race. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi had great views of the city. Although it was a rainy and cold weekend, we had a great time on the water. The staff was great, especially Beatriz, who went above and beyond to make our stay more pleasant.

We had a comfortable stay in this hotel. It is a nice, clean, bright place, with cozy rooms, modern amenities, and welcoming public areas. The rooftop pool and spa are well designed. There are great views of the city in 3+ directions from the inviting roof terrace. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast with a broad variety of options. Also, the location is central to all things Tempe.
