***6/26/22: Well overdue update: This is one of my favorite places to eat. I have been here tons of time at this point and I have had bad service only twice. The managers always recognize us and ask how we're doing or ask about our family when my husband or I end up here without each other. It can be crazy busy on the weekend evenings but it is totally worth the wait. The spicy broth is my jam. Definitely come and eat here if you haven't tried it yet. Old review: I would have given this place 5 stars but our service kind of sucked. We waited a lot. In their defense though, my husband had come a few days ago with a coworker for lunch and said that the service he received the other day was Top Notch. So I guess it's probably hit or miss depending on which employees are on staff. The food though. 1000% recommend this place. We had Sukiyaki and the Traditional broth. The Sukiyaki is good. The traditional broth is bland but throw some spices and veggies in and it is amazing. Definitely a good starter broth. All of the veggies and ingredients looked fresh and tasted yummy. I like that they require masks and gloves when visiting the ingredients bar. They also provide hand sanitizer and signs ask you to use it before you get stuff from the ingredients bar. They have this really cool little body scanning machine at the front entrance that tells them if you have a normal or elevated body temp. We were appropriately distanced from other parties as well. We will definitely be back often.

Showed up for a table of 8 and we were able to be seated immediately. The broth was a tad bit bland but there was a vast amount of toppings with vegetables noodles and seafood to give it flavor. They even had minced raw garlic and pepper. Remember that hot pot and shabu shabu are different. Service was good the meats and quality were good as well. It's nice that they bring out a pitcher for your water so you don't have to consistently ask to get your cup full. All in all it was a good experience but nothing over the top.

First shabu/hot pot place I’ve gone too. Food and options were super great, but service was non existent. Waitress was JANIE and despite telling her it was my birthday and our first time, she didn’t do anything different or even explain. She also never filled our water and we had to have the manager take our meat and soup order refills. Also disappointing that neither of them mentioned that the free box of steamed meat or the desert are only by request, since they snatch the menu quick and don’t bring it up again. Not sure if I’ll come here again, maybe for lunch since this meal service was not worth $30 per person

If you love hot pot then this is the place for you. All you can eat dining. Friendly service and Korean music videos in the background. Great atmosphere and it feels inviting. I give them 4 stars because of their beverages. I cannot stand canned soda and they don't serve iced tea. They have barley tea but that's it for tea selection. It was either water or soda. So that was a let down for me. Other than that they offer a variety of vegetables, noodles, meat and you get to make your dipping sauce. Which is a benefit because I get to choose my toppings. I love the broths that they offer and I have two favorites ... miso based or sweet teriyaki. 😋 My once in a great while soul food. It was a great experience with my long time friend of 13 years. It was a joy to catch up and the food never tasted so good. Having the right company matters.

Very upset coming here service was bad and rude. They need to train their employees to have a better customer service. Food is absolutely a joke not much varites on vegetables and seafood for the price buffet go to P&K shabu they won’t disappoint you! For the price here is a wasting your money!!! If I can give them no Stars I would. Absolutely bad !!!!For the price at Jin shabu better of coming to P&K shabu.

First time doing the “hot pot” type of experience all and all pretty great. Went there with a big group of people the staff was great. And getting refills on the meat was lightning quick. If it’s your first time, a word of advice. Get all those really flavorful vegetables in your broth right away it’ll help punch up the flavors throughout!

We went here on Valentine's Day to celebrate my Grandson's 15th birthday. Had a great time! He chose the place. The place was very busy, but they were able to get our party of 5 in. THANK-YOU STAFF!!! This is how it works: You choose 2-4 meats for the table to share. Then you load your own plate up "salad bar" style with all the side ingredients you'd like to add to your table's meat choices. Come back to the table. Put the meat in the pots that are in the center of the table. Then you add your side items to the pot. Let them all cook for several minutes & then spoon them out onto your plate. Great way to try alittle if everyone's choices! Supper fun!! FYI There's NO take home or doggie bag option. You can't take home what u didn't eat.

Went on a day trip to Sedona and stopped by for dinner on the way back. We had a group of 22 and were split into 3 tables. Each table had 2 pots, each can hold two broth. You can pick premium package or deluxe. We got premium which offered 5 types of meats. Very simple. Vegetables, seafood, and sauce bar was self serve. All the host and servers were super young and either they were short staffed or just didn’t want to be there. Had attitude and rarely came by. You’re allowed up to 3 meats at a time. My favorite would be the beef belly because it was thin and fatty. Our table was the last to finish, while the other two tables took off. So we took our time eating and I was having a sweet tooth. I saw the store manager (written on his shirt) and asked if they had dessert. Yes, they have shaved ice with red bean and mochi. Funny how you would have to ask. The food was good and the menu was simple. I didn’t have to feel overwhelmed with choices. But the staff just killed it for me. Very rude.

I recently dined at Jin Shabu for their “all you can eat” experience, and it was truly delightful. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. They provided two types of meats choices and both of them can refill. We had a good time here and definitely will be revisiting.

one of the best hot pot in Chandler and Tempe area. Price is not expensive, the meat is fresh and sea food is unlimited service. You could pick up the veg, meat ball, side food, noodle, rice and egg in the mid food island table. They have different sauce choice for guest, you could mix them by yourself and have top for the rice if you want to have it. The staff is super nice and friendly. It's a good place for party, family and hungry night.

If you’re looking for a new experience with good food, this is definitely the place for you. We came to Jin Shabu about 5:30 on a Friday night and only waited 15 minutes. You choose your choice of broth, meat, and drinks. Then there is a buffet style veggie and seafood bar (seafood included with dinner service) that you can load up with separate from the unused meat surcharge. Our waiter was attentive and you get refills on meat quickly. We got the spicy broth and tonkatsu broth, and while both were slightly unseasoned, you can add from the plethora of sauces and veggies available to add flavor. Overall good experience and I hope to return soon:)

High quality meat. Lots of vegetables, mushrooms, and other items (seafood, fish balls, tofu, etc.) at the buffet. You make your own sauce. It's an experience. We got there around 8:30pm, so there wasn't a long wait to get a table. The down side is last call came right after we are done with the steam box. It would have been nice to enjoy our experience a little longer at a slower pace.

This place has become our go to when we are ready to eat a lot of food. The wait has never been too long, the veggies and soup condiments are always fresh, the meat selection is great, and the brother are all delicious!

It was okay, if I could give it a half star then id say 3.5 Star. Very cool experience for those who have not tried Hot pot. It is a bit expensive for my liking for the flavor of food. It's all pretty one tone. Our guests were new and we have only been to 1 place in Boston, so when asked we said we were new so they could give us the run down. Unfortunately we ended up butchering our first go around as we didn't get much guidance. Staff was pleasant and nice though just wish they explained a little more. Overall though if you want to try it for yourself definitely do it if you don't have a low budget or go during Lunch time as it's a little less. Good thing is, it is all you can eat! I believe they charge 5.99$ for any uneaten food as well which isn't to bad compared to some places.

UPDATE: the below review was written after the restaurant offered a 10% discount in exchange for a positive review. The statements are true and we did enjoy the time spent there. THE ISSUE: after the discount, or total was $68. We paid with a Visa and left a $20 cash tip (wrote "cash" on tip line) After reviewing our statement, we found we were charged $102. We called and spoke to the manager who told us we could come back for a CASH refund for the overcharge. After explaining we were over an HOUR away from them (special date night for us) the manage said he could try to send us a check but didn't know when that would be. We decided to ask our bank for help with this dispute. Great atmosphere and cool experience but definitely recommend paying CASH ONLY. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This was our first time here after seeing an Instagram Reel. IT IS SO COOL! Of course the food is so so good and the service is great! Experience is super cool 😁

My coworker and I came from a long drive from LA looking for a good meal to end our day. Dang this place does not disappoint. AZ you guys have a gem here, wish we had something this good at home. I recommend you dip everything in there sesame sauce.

  • 5/5 Kaleb T. 1 year ago on Google
The soup/broth is okay, but the meat is amazing. With the all-you-can-eat, we just kept ordering and cooking more meat and did not drink the broth much. The sauce recipes or self-made sauce combination and the flavor of the broth infused into the meat made for a very delicious meal. The vegetables are also good, but the seafood doesn't compare to the meat. The free steamed meat box is the best. Just eat the meat👍

Very much a 9 out of 10. I enjoyed my time here with a friend. Stayed the full 2 hour max time and never felt like I was rushed or pushed at any time. I wish there were more options to pick from, as it's only a few. The veggie selection is solid, and I never really touched the seafood section. Maybe next time. But with the price this is very much a sometimes place. But I was satisfied with what I had. The service is awesome, as any of the staff can help you get anything you need.

  • 5/5 Stella M. 1 year ago on Google
10/10 would recommend. Awesome buffet style restaurant. The broth is tastey and they have a nice assortment of vegetables, roots, meat, and seafood to add in. They also have rice and a varoety of noodles to choose from. As a side note: the beef belly hinoki box looks amazing, BUT you will need to wait about 20min until you can eat. The box sits on top of the broth to cook. Only after it is done with you have access to the meat and the broth. I was happy for the experience, but I wouldn't order it again.

Order the deluxe menu that included waygu and Australian lamb. Everything was clean and the soup base were tasty. There's a bar to get your own veggies and sauce. It was wonderful and tasty. The service was excellent

I am from Hawaii where you can find Shabu Shabu at every corner. Here it’s like finding treasure. Which I have found here at Jin Shabu! The food was so good and the prices were super reasonable. They have a veggie bar where you can pick from but also a sauce making station too which I found that super creative and delicious. I wish they had the tomato broth but the miso and tonkatsu were super good. Everything there was great and I had a good experience.

A must try eat all you can hot pot in the valley. A lot of meat, seafood and vegtable selection. Also diffrent kinds of broth are available.

Absolutely love this place. It ain’t cheap, but my girlfriend and I still find a way to come here just about every other week. The broth options, the meat portions, the variety of serve-yourself ingredients, and the sauce bar are awesome. I come hungry and leave full every time. My one (minor) complaint is that the service can leave something to be desired, but it’s mostly serve yourself anyway, so I don’t really care. It’s only an issue when I want a beer and the server doesn’t come by for a while.

My family and I absolutely love Jin Shaun! The food is amazing! Don’t forget to add salt to your broth to give it more flavor! Everything is great here. It can get busy we’re sometimes you have to flag someone down to get more meat but other than that it’s great!

I just love this place ! It is first all-you-can-eat soup place I've ever seen! They give you two pots with regular and spicy broth. At the bar you choose what you want to add in your soup and ask your waiter for selection of meats and drinks. Great place to go with family and friends. Highly recommended!

Safety is their First Priority! - My boyfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful time here. Masks are required when you're not at your table. They checked our temperature when we first walked in. When going up for sauces, they have gloves and sanitizer for you to use before picking through their buffet. Not to mention, our waitress was absolutely friendly and gave us very speedy service. The premium option was delicious, and tasted fresh. We wish we lived in town, because this just became our favorite Hot Pot place!

How they are still open to the public baffles me. The workers don't care whether customers have masks or not. The tongs and spoons are not monitored. NO ONE WEARS THE GLOVES OR MASKS AT THE BUFFET STATION. And the servers don't give a single damn. I had to ask servers for new sauces because everyone else is breathing on them. Not sure if I feel comfortable here.

Good quality food with great customer service. A excellent new experience of you've never tried this type place before. It's like Ycs meets the all you eat Korean BBQ goe hot pot.

  • 4/5 Gary C. 4 years ago on Google
There's only at most 6 options for the meats but they are extremely fresh! There's also a self serve vegetable and limited free seafood option (clams, small crabs, shrimp) but there's a more extensive seafood list for extra. I think the base cost and options are ok deal. The soup bases are more watery and definitely need the self serve sauce for flavoring. I'll probably try again but not frequently.

This place is genuine in term of food preparation, and this comes from a couple with a Japan born and raise partner, and a foodie... the staff is very pleasant. It is a popular place too, so either start early or put your name down and do your shopping at the local mall to use time wisely. They'll call you when ready. No mistake with Jin Shabu, a recommended dinner place for sure!

Wow, had a wonderful dinner here. Meat and veggies are all fresh. Huge selection of veggies and sauces. Meat was consistently good throughout the entire meal. Server struck a perfect balance of making sure we were taken care of without being obtrusive. Looking forward to another visit, and that's saying a lot since I'm coming from way out west of Phoenix.

Dozens of fresh ingredients out for grabs, with seafood, veggies, noodles, etc., and also meats that are orderable. You cook everything yourself and theres a choice of different broths. Also different spices and sauces to keep things interesting. Will definitely hit this place up, recommended!

  • 4/5 Jorge V. 4 years ago on Google
This place is all you can eat; Wait was about 35min on a Sunday night for dinner. We got the deluxe option which includes “wagyu” (we all know it’s not real wagyu, but still good quality beef) we picked Tonkotsu and Miso broths since we were not In a spicy mood. Tonkotsu was pretty good and of course got better with time. Place was nicely busy, service was good and prompt, food was great with plenty of vegetable options to add to our hotpot/ shabu. Be advised that the seafood options are limited if that’s your main thing. Overall would definitely recommend. Don’t forget to ask about the shaved ice that’s included at the end of your meal (it’s pure gluttony at that point).

The best Korean Shabu ever! It is as nice as the ones I experienced in Korea. It is my third-time visit, and I’m so impressed by its service and food quality. I made porridge with sesame oil, rice, egg, and the soup, and it was terrific. It also has snowflakes for dessert, which I didn’t expect at all for all you can eat restaurant. I hope it retains its business and the price just as now.
