Stopped in on a whim and was totally blown away from the food to the service to the staff… excellence in everything!! Ask for Ail (ah-eel) for top-notch service… then cross your fingers that Fermín stops by to greet you too—what a wonderful supervisor who obviously has great rapport with the staff! Highly recommend for a date with your darling!

Their grilled foods had so much smokey aroma! Loved the portion and taste, and the price was not bad for the quality.

Some of the best Tex-Mex in the Dallas metroplex. Great service - chips and salsa delivered as you’re seated which is always a good sign. Great menu options. Excellent food and great customer service. I had the Shrimp Brochette! The drinks, chips and salsa and other appetizers are delicious! Would highly recommend this place. One of the better Mexican restaurants in the DFW area!

Margarita and Jalapeño Margarita on the rocks were good! Food was delicious too! Their lunch chimichanga was smaller but very filling with everything else on the plate.

I had the shrimp tacos. They were delicious and the salsa was good and spicy too. Their bathrooms were very clean too.

Just to start, Leticia was... AMAZING. I don't even know what dish I got but it was so good. I just asked Leticia what was good and she picked out a wonderful jalapeno infused Margarita and matched it with a delicious steak onion dish that blew my mind. She was great and the restaurant was super clean and a very nice ambiance inside for the price. Give this lady a raise. Five Stars, will come back again

Someone recommended this place to me and I was honestly impressed my waitress Samantha was wonderful made sure to take notes on the food for my kids they can be very picky. Both the food and drinks were wonderful, their manager on duty Fanny was also great making sure we were satisfied and comfortable which we were. Glad someone recommended me this place

Love MI Cocina, stopped in for a mambo taxi and appetizer and re fell in love with the restaurant. Our server Amelia was above and beyond excellent- friendly, professional and truly made this experience exceptional. She made the right recommendations and truly turned a small stop for cocktails into a 5 star occasion. The food was good the drinks are always spectacular but the service made tonight exceptional.

We are new to the area and stopped in on a whim. We couldn't have picked a better spot. We had spinach enchiladas that were delicious. Chips and salsa were free flowing and had the right amount of heat. Service was over the top great. We never had to ask for refills on drinks or chips and salsa. For came out quickly and hot. Our server, Abigail, apologized for not giving us her best service due to being busy. I don't know what she could have done differently as she was phenomenal. Great experience!

Delicious, Every time! We visited on a Friday evening, friendly hostesses communicated the wait time and added us to the list. Our experience was most definitely worth the wait. (25 mins~) Mambo taxis were so good, just strong enough. We ordered nachos locos with ground beef and shredded chicken changa + double rice and queso on the side. Our server was friendly, attentive, and personable. She even offered us waters to go, without us asking. In this Texas heat, hydration definitely matters! In the end our eyes were bigger than our appetite so we did take at least half to go which is fine. We will return for sure!

Absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, hot, and on time. Our server, Kennedy was great. She helped when needed but didn’t bother us. The manager Fermin is so sweet and friendly. Even if the food wasn’t good, I would still come just for the people and experience.

Our server, Heather, is always amazing. She remembers us and our order. She pays such great attention to detail. For example, she remembered last time we were there, we didn’t eat all our guacamole so this time she gave us less and traded it for more sour cream. Made us feel so cares for. She is also kind and very personable. Such a gem

One of the best dining experiences in Highland Village. The food, drinks, and service are incredible. David took amazing care of us and he and Ferman went above and beyond to make our date night our extra special. We can't wait to come back!

What a great experience! The food and atmosphere was perfect. But the shining star was without a doubt, the Manager Fanny. She was personable, professional and just downright awesome. We WILL visit this restaurant again. Fanny locked that in.

We had another amazing experience at this location! Camila was our waitress on the patio. She was kind and made us laugh and smile. Wonderful with timing and made our lunch so great! We love coming back to see her.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool. Alejandra’s customer service was excellent. She knows what she is doing and explained in detail any questions we had about their food. You can tell making the customers happy is her main priority. 100% recommended!

We were recently at Mi Cocina, they had amazing Chips and Salsa as soon as we arrived and the server was prompt and we had a good service. We ordered Tortilla Soup along with Tacos Habana and Tacos De Papa. As you can see from the pics they did look great and tasted mostly good. We found the corn tortilla not soft like most places, and the chicken on Habana was lil char blackened/hard, otherwise it all tasted great. We will be back here for sure.!!

I recommend Mi Cocina if you want delicious food with great service at a good price. Ysabel was a fantastic server, specifically she was very attentive and friendly. We would happily go back again.

Really great first time experience! Our server Hailey was excellent. She was very attentive and really polite. The food was brought out fast and it was delicious. Really recommend the bacon shrimp. Will be going back!

We love Tex-Mex and wanted to visit Mi Cocina’s for a long time. The ambiance inside was nice. Definitely a step up from your regular Chuy’s. We were told there was a wait time but we’re seated almost immediately. The restaurant was jam-packed on a weekday, and can’t imagine this place on a weekend. Definitely a kid-friendly place. The tables were so close to each other. The others sitting behind us couldn’t get out until I moved. The salsa given was spicy, but the chips we got tasted stale. We ordered the kids Quesadilla, Veggie Fajitas and Tacos “De Papa”. The Quesadilla was a tiny portion, and came with a salad and some rice and beans. The fajitas had no seasoning - absolutely no salt. Was a bit disappointed as I usually finish my fajitas and couldn’t. The rice and beans tasted good, as well as the pico, which was the only reason the fajitas were manageable. The tacos were just the fajitas on tortillas with a bunch of lettuce and spinach. The spinach tasted weird, and again there was no seasoning. Except for 3 items on the menu, nothing else is vegetarian or vegan friendly. Sitting seemed crammed inside as well. Not sure if we will visit again or not.

We had the best experience here! We’re from out of town and looking for an easy dinner. The food here was absolutely amazing, we loved what we ordered (nachos and fajitas) and everything was reasonably priced. But what stood out to us the most was the service! Our server was Eduardo and he was amazing! Everything was quick, he gave great recommendations and helped us pick what to order, he was so friendly and absolutely made our night. Definitely would love to come back here!

Great place for a simple night out for Mexican and or Tex-Mex food. Service her was excellent and friendly. Think we met the owner who greated us when entering and dropped by out take to give us free Queso. Food was pretty good I thought and I would definitely come back.

Not as good as expected. The good: The restaurant has a latin chic feel and looked very nice. The service was good and our hostess and wait person were very pleasant. Parking was good and prices were on the low side which was agreeable. The bad: The food was unfortunately not good. The salsa was sadly just a tomato slurry with garlic and very flat. The entrees were bland, dry with little flavor. Overall, the restaurant atmosphere and the wait staff were very good but the food quality and flavors were not there. We will return sometime though and give them another try.

I believe our waiters name was Camilo and he was wonderful. Very attentive to us and not over bearing at all. Drinks were delivered very timely as well as the food. I was bummed they couldn’t make the Miami Vice (Southlake makes a delicious one) but the Rio Mambo is just as good and gets the job done! These are some strong drinks so they’re worth the price! The chicken was also very well cooked and seasoned. Overall, this was a good experience. Mi Cocina is pretty standard no matter which location. The atmosphere is also great. Perfect for company outings, happy hour, date night, you name it! Definitely will be back! The chocolate tres leches was literally perfect

I decided to go eat at this location for the first time Today and had one of the best experiences, would definitely be coming back for the atmosphere and delicious food! Our server Vanessa was incredibly attentive with our needs and made us have the best time with her kind and funny jokes from time to time. The manager Fermin even would come by to our table and make sure I was having an amazing time and enjoying the food, he was extremely kind and such a joy to be around. I recommend the Tacos Mi Tierra if you want a recommendation!

Just left the place and had a great dinner with my family. The service was wonderful and our waiter Jeff was amazing was very attentive with our drinks. The manager on duty Fanny was also great making sure our meals and drinks were up to our expectations. Will definitely be returning
