We came for our honeymoon and my birthday. Griffin, Amanda, and the rest of the staff were friendly, and even let us change tables when the sun was too much for us. They willingly answered any questions we had about the menu. Our food came out wonderfully paced, and, truly, all of it was good. Absolutely worth every penny. We will recommend this restaurant to all of our friends, and can't wait to return next time we're in town.

The menu seems to change quite regularly so my review now might not mean anything in 3 months. The food was good and Griffin and Michael are great. They are attentive and give their maximum to make the customers happy. There is a reasonable and decent wine selection. There are a very diversified menu. Each item on the menu looks good. The bread was good. I would recommend to order some. However, I would have love to have more choices and options. I think a good steak is always a good think to have no matter what. The others guests around the table were not very happy with their pork chop. I had gulf fish and duck. It was good! The place looks great and the staff is really good and kind! I would recommend this place if you are looking for a different type of food. They do propose things that you cannot find anywhere else or at least not commonly. Overall a good experience.

This was a lovely place for a great dinner! We were thrilled with our appetizers, particularly the goat cheese crouton. We all fought over the duck breast entree after trying it! It was the best dish at the table, but the lamb was a close contender. We also have to compliment the waitstaff. They were so knowledgeable about the menu details and offered great suggestions to meet our tastes. We will most definitely be back!

We dined here for Valentine's Day, and they had 3 course meal with wine pairing. There were 2 options to choose each courses and we had one of each and shared. Everything was delicious and service was in point. I can't wait to come back!!!

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful lunch at Bayona, a renowned 30-year old restaurant with a charming courtyard that adds an extra touch of ambiance to the dining experience. It’s surprisingly tucked away in the heart of the French Quarter, offering a calm, upscale experience that doesn’t feel uptight. As soon as we entered the courtyard, the serene atmosphere and beautiful surroundings instantly transported us to a tranquil oasis. The attentive staff made us feel welcomed and our lunch was nothing short of perfection. You honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu and we can’t wait to return for dinner. Allison was our server. She coursed out the order perfectly, checked in regularly, refilled drinks, and made it so pleasant. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Bayona is a hidden gem, highly recommend it.

The food was amazing! The chef has received many accolades that have been posted around the restaurant. It is an upscale place and higher priced, but worth going to try a few dishes. They have a very extensive wine collection and you can get it by the glass or by the bottle. Indoor and outdoor dining is available.

Must try if you're in New Orleans. Everything was absolutely delicious but the stand out for me was the Goat Cheese Croutons, one of the best things i have ever eaten. The Garlic Soup was also not the least bit over rated, as a garlic girl i was in heaven 💖 Definitely will return on my next visit to the Big Easy!

Although Bayona is not open on Mondays, we were able to make reservations as they had special hours and a menu for the Jazz fest this past weekend. We came here for my birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff were all lovely and accommodating. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The special menu with wine pairings was around the same price as ordering a la carte. Would definitely come here again and not just for a special occasion.

We enjoyed everything here and service was wonderful! We ordered the quail salad, duck liver, garlic soup, duck breast, and Mississippi rabbit. Everything was delicious! The desserts were really special too. The Apple tea cake was great and not too sweet. The chocolate pave was very rich. Will come back again and 100% recommend! Price is fair as a nice French restaurant.

Appreciated how accommodating this restaurant was to provide vegan options for my partner and I. We had a couple of starters in addition to our entrees. The food was pretty good, overall. Some of the dishes were overly salty or had a texture issue (such as the breaded eggplant medalions we had). My official rating for the food is 3.5/5. The service, however? 5 stars! Splitting the difference and giving this place 4 stars.

Best restaurant in the USA! I've been around, and I'm a foodie. I've been a regular since 1996, and I'm from Virginia! Ms Spicer is famous and deserves it. It's hard to remain excellent for so long, but she has done it. Love, love, love this place! Fabulous servers, hostesses, everyone. I don't know how she does it.

Business dinner with my reps from Southeast USA Great food, drinks and service. Garlic soup was different but good. Duck pate' was outstanding. Old Fashion drink just so so, but Russian River wine was excellent but 400%+ markup was really not called for. I had a perfect meal of pan seared scallops that could not be any better as they melted in my mouth. Truly a 5 star taste, 5 diamond dish. One rep had the crispy duck and was impressed with his meal. He has traveled the world and recommended nd made the reservation for this restaurant and he said it could not be any better. The other two had the Red snapper, one loved it so much as to say this was the best he had Ever had, ever had. Repeatedly. The other rep this was his first experience with Red Snapper and he is now a big Fan and will order it everywhere. I don't think it will be as good as Bayona. Service was excellent. Drinks and water glasses were attentively refilled expediently by a true professional staff. Dessert was good but not over the top. Caution everything is ala carte and expensive, but I will recommend to the highest and return.

This place is quite the gem on the western edge of the French Quarter. Wonderfully designed dining rooms with views of their quaint courtyard are paired with impeccable service and exceptional food. Go for the Salmon Beignets, stay for the stunning cocktails and wonderful wine list. You won't be disappointed.

After eating at many places in NOLA, this is the only one that is a “must visit”. I would definitely recommend making a reservation, but it was fairly open throughout the duration of my visit. The meals here are delicious! The salmon was cooked and seasoned to perfection, and there was an incredible vegetarian eggplant dish that was off-menu. The dessert was so amazing too! They have a sweet potato cheesecake that reminds me very much of Thanksgiving. I am beyond pleased, and the waitress was so kind and attentive. I truly could not be more impressed!

I’m from Louisiana and this restaurant never disappoints….. It’s so good that I could let the waiter order for me because everything on the menu is fabulous. My lunch was the best I’ve had in NOLA. The outdoor courtyard is marvelous. If you haven’t been to Bayona what are you waiting for?

Bayona is a very special places stepped in New Orleans history. It's an oasis and a refuge from the frenetic energy of the French Quarter. The venue is beautiful and the staff know the definition of hospitality. The wine list had an amazing French connection. I would highly recommend this place to visitors and locals alike.

This place is AMAZING! From the minute we arrived we felt at home. Thank you, Andre, Allison, and Jackie. Your positive energy was palpable. And the food was indescribably GOOD. Duck sandwich please!

Our 1st night in NOLA, we stumbled upon Bayona while exploring the French Quarter and though we didn't have a reservation, they were able to accommodate us and we were seated quickly. (It was early, around 5pm on a Thurs) Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff were very friendly and informative. I had the scallops app and lamb entree, both were excellent. My husband had the sweetbreads and rabbit - which I tried - and they were also great. We were out in plenty of time to wander around before taking in a ghost tour. Husband and I both agree that this was our best meal in NOLA.

We had one of the best meals at Bayona's. Every single detail, from the servers to the appreciation of the dishes and selection of the wines. We will be back

The Friday before Halloween was the first visit to Bayona for the three of us. I noticed what a lovely space it is as I entered. Various rooms and a patio area all invitingly decorated. My friend and I were quickly seated (I had made a reservation) and given a wine menu to look over. Shortly after that our third joined us and we ordered wine. Mine was a glass of Sangiovese. Two of us were very interested in Bayona’s highly rated Smoked Duck PB&J, so we shared it as an appetizer. Was it good? Sho’nuff! One of the others ordered the soup of the day, which I believe was Butternut Squash. We all tasted it and agreed it was fantastic. One friend ordered the salmon while I had the fish du jour. It was absolutely delicious, but in the excitement of being in such a lovely restaurant, I forgot to write down what it was. We had two servers keeping watch, but not hovering at our table, that were professional, knowledgeable and polite. I look forward to my next visit to Bayona and wish my first had been much sooner.

I had the best evening with a friend at Bayona. Impeccable service and wonderful delicious food. I had all of the vegan options. Rarely are there so many, such as soup, salad, entree and dessert! I walked away so full and satisfied. My new favorite place for fine dining in New Orleans! PS The servers were fun and attentive.

Over priced and over spiced! I was really looking forward to an upmarket Christmas Eve dinner but unfortunately left disappointed. The tasting menu had huge portions and seemed a waste. The food in general was not up to the standard of most fine dining experience as it wasn’t refined enough. The Crab bisque was probably the best course I had and even that was underwhelming and had a strange chalky texture in the mouth. My husband order crab gratin which was basically a boat sized, it was huge tub of cheese, cream and crab. Really too rich to be anywhere near a tasting menu. Not to mention that our wine parings were coming after our food was finished for each course. But the service was good other than the timing. I could go on and on about the food. It wasn’t worth the money. It’s not refined at all and nobody who has $200 per person to spend is starving at Christmas. It’s very important to get the richness and portion sizes correct. But the most horrific thing that happened was dessert. Two of the 3 dessert options were cake. I felt like I was at a retirement home holiday party. Seriously get a pastry chef if you want to charge these prices and cake is served in the afternoon with tea not at dinner!

Fantastic experience all around: hospitable greeting, comfortable and eclectic decor, amazing craft cocktails, and we really enjoyed the diverse wine list with a lot of our favorite choices from the Old World. Apps & Entrees were incredible all around for our table, as well as the sides. Moreover, the desserts all hit the mark.

Wow, that was that the entire experience from the moment we walked into the door, till the moment we left. Seating was easy to check in and get seated at our reserved time. Allison did an incredible job with her Server assistant, I believe named Ralpheo taking care of us. Every recommendation was on point from pairing the salads with entrees to the wines and multiple cocktails. The Sweetbreads were cooked to perfection. With an entree of Lamb to follow. You have to save room for the desserts. When I find myself in New Orleans again, I will have to stop here again. Truly an incredible experience.

Pleasant fine dining experience. While there are changes to the menu, it's fairly similar to the sample menu online. Food had good seasoning and the daily dishes can be unique.

Recommend by a New Orleans resident as a favorite and we were not disappointed! We sat on the patio! Was beautiful and had fans circulating! We had two very attentive servers, with each course they were presenting the food, coming back to ask how it was etc. wine glass was never empty! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a high end meal to celebrate!

Always wanted to dine here and passed here so many times on my trips and walks in the quarter. My friend invited me out yesterday. So far this has been the best dinner I have had on this trip. We had two servers it seems and both were excellent. Had the sweet breads and the quail salad with apple tea cake. Perfect and delicious. We got there at the perfect time because it was quiet couldn't decide between the outdoor dining and indoor because both were beautiful but opted for indoor. I like the size of the place because it is more intimate and not overwhelming but within an hour the place became crowded. Very nice atmosphere With definitely return. This place is romantic for those who want a romantic place.

Been coming to Bayona for over 25 years and I still live for the cream of garlic soup and Susan’s awesome recipes. Location and ambience is terrific and always have the best time when I come. Having come so long and that the place has not changed at all, it’s like coming home and the food always leave me raving. Please, don’t ever change.

By far the best meal we had in New Orleans, and that says a lot. The entire experience was beyond amazing. The wait staff instantly makes you feel like family. The food was like no other. The extra touches like the champagne for our anniversary we weren't expecting, it's just the above and beyond you don't see anymore. I cannot wait to return.

By far on the best restaurants I visited in New Orleans. Came here back in 2009 when my young self knew nothing about food and didn’t have much of an appreciation for good eats. But even with my limited knowledge of food back then, I knew what I had just ingested was really yummy. Fast forward 13 years later, the hubby and I return for dinner and this restaurant has not changed, except for its menu obviously. The food here is sooo good, portions sizable and service goes above and beyond. I can’t remember our waitress’ name, but she was very friendly and very attentive, despite how busy it was. This place is good for a date night, family night, girls night….you name it, it’s appropriate for ANY night. I would definitely give this place a try if you’re in the area!

Visiting New Orleans for my birthday, figured I need to find a fine dining spot to celebrate. I did a search and came up wIth Bayona. The duck dish on the menu caught my eye and was like it is a go. I love duck. Ambiance and food was great. They were two servers, I guess a head waiter then another waiter. Head waiter Griffin told us about the nights special, Emily the other waiter took care of everything else. I was very pleased, until I noticed that Griffiin, the head waiter asked every other table, but ours if they wanted bread after they placed their order. We were the only minority couple and not one time did he offer us any. I don’t usually play the race card, but this was very blatant and could not have been an oversight because a couple came in after us and was offered right after they placed their order. I felt a type of a way about that. Definitely killed the vibe after that observation.

Great service and great food as usual. Restaurant was very comfortable. The sweetbreads are excellent as both appetizers and entree.

Bayona was lovely. I would have preferred the same 5⭐️ treatment that the table across from me received, (a server going so far as standing in the street to save a parking spot) as I instead had the pleasure of listening to a private (and not quite appropriate) conversation between the Hostesses.

This was hands down the best restaurant I’ve ever been to in New Orleans! The chef did an incredible job with the flavors and presentation. They accommodated my vegetarian diet and the chef made me a personalized entree based off of my likes and dislikes!! I couldn’t have asked for a better dinner and dining experience. And the staff was so kind and accommodating! I highly recommend Bayona!!
