Adorable property. Clean & comfortable rooms. Was sad however to not know until we arrived that the whole street was closed & being torn up to be paved. Had to park around the block and walk. Had issues with getting back after dark. Was not comfortable at all walking around that area at night so left a day early and they refused refund. My car was safe around the block but was filthy, assuming from all the construction. The hotel itself felt safe, just not the areas around it.

This is a really nice house it has four rooms 1 down stairs with a bathroom outside the room which is private and 3 rooms upstairs 2 with bathrooms in the rooms and 1 with a restroom outside the hallway which is private. You have to call the number on the door to check in because there's no staff on site. They have fridges in the rooms and a big fridge in the kitchen with coffee makers and cups which is down stairs . The restrooms have soap and shampoo. The beds are very comfortable the softest beds I've ever slept on and the rooms smell good. They have Roku and many movies to watch , air conditioning and a ceiling fan .This place is very close to the French quarter the RTA number 12 trolley is just 2 blocks away and runs till midnight and is very fun to ride. The hostess Melissa is very nice she is a beautiful woman who gave me a lot of info about new Orleans and still remember her and her stories.

The hotel was very clean. It was awesome to have my own private bathroom on the 1st floor. The staff was excellent and made you feel like you are home. Great food in the area, don't even need to go to the French Quarter. Can not wait to come back next spring...

Left this morning from our 2 day stay and it was absolutely amazing! Seriously a hidden gem, so glad I found this place. It's not a far walk from all the main areas, the house is amazingly kept, so beautiful, quiet. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL and thankfully so. We literally saw NO ONE not one person in the house during all of our coming and going (a huge bonus factor, when you like to keep to yourselves) - until the morning of checking out, I went down and met the housekeeper Melissa, who is absolutely great! Loved talking with her. I really can't say enough good things about this place. All I can do is hope to be able to book again in the future! 1000000% recommend, though I'd love to keep it all to myself ๐Ÿค—

The place is pretty. Tho there was no one there on arrival they just text you the codes for the house and the room. The room is nice. The location is terrible. I had to drag my luggage half a block on a dirt road cuz there was no side walk and the road is closed and thatโ€™s as far as my Uber could go. From their message โ€œClio street is blocked off for some street repairs off and on. But the property is accessible.โ€ Clio is NOT accessible. Iโ€™m not fully able bodied and this is going to be an extremely difficult stay for me. My rates were 358 dollars for 3 nights which yeah may be less expensive than your normal hotel but on the highest end of their prices for a place that cannot be accessed by car or sidewalk(the sidewalk only starts partway up the block and is missing a lot of stones). I absolutely would have picked somewhere else if I had known the construction was that bad. Without the construction I imagine it would be a 5/5 for the hotel itself but for full price with incredible inaccessibility that drops my rating significantly. Also with it being across the expressway from everything but the garden district you have to walk under the expressway to get anywhere since getting a ride is a pain and thatโ€™s admittedly a little sketchy especially if youโ€™re by yourself.

I absolutely LOVED this place! We came to town to play a show, and this was the perfect place to spend a few nights. Its absolutely beautiful, and we were a quick walk away from Burbon Street. It was very clean, nicely decorated, beds were SO comfortable, and it was affordable. Don't throw your money away on an expensive hotel. Pack your own toiletries and spend your money having fun instead! Can't wait to come back!

Best place to stay for quiet adults. I've never stayed at a guest house before and was very impressed with WG Creole House 1850. The layout and house decorations were beautiful. My pretty bedroom was spacious, clean and up-to-date. The bed was very comfy. The closet was hugh! The room had a bed, 2 dressers, armchair, refrigerator and hardwood floors. I reserved a bedroom that didn't have an attached bathroom. My private bathroom was across the hall. The front door, bedroom and bathroom all had unique entry codes. The bathroom was a little snug. But, it was very clean and modern. I would definitely stay here instead of a hotel if I visit New Orleans again. Some hotels like Hyatt, Best Western, Holiday Inn, etc have musty smells and sketchy carpet. This place was super clean and fresh!

I can't believe I have not reviewed this B and B.. We have been here so many times and we Love it! The bed is so comfortable and the rooms are huge. It is always clean and it's just a beautiful home. Every time we come to New Orleans this is our second home. It has a little fridge and big windows. And We Love โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜ our house mother, Melissa. She is the care taker of the place. I don't know if we go to see New Orleans or or her.. Lol!! The parking is weird but that does not stop us from staying in this lovely place. ๐Ÿ˜Š

What an amazing place to stay! It is true authentic New Orleans living. The house itself is gorgeous and Melissa was incredible. She was extremely helpful and gave great recommendations. The Mardi Gras parades were only 1.5 blocks away, but yet it was nice and quiet on property. It took less than 10 minutes to walk to the French Quarter and there are great restaurants just up the street. We will definitely be staying here every time we visit!

The hotel stay was great. The owner was attentive with any question or needs I had during my stay. There is only one bedroom on the first floor and the bathroom on the first floor has a small shower. This wasn't a problem for us but it could be for others. All in all I will definitely be staying here again!

Just wow! If your on the fence about where to stay... search no farther. Its very private. Very gorgeous and very convenient located. And the value is insane. We had issues with hotels.com but the staff here went the extra mile to fix the issues . It feels like ur staying at a family members home. Its quiet and relaxed. Please be courteous and treat it like you are a guest and you will feel exceptionally welcome!!

Beautiful, ancient property. Our room was spacious and extremely clean. The bed was very, very comfortable, allowing us to enjoy some great sleep after exploring the city all day. A special mention to the housekeeper, Melissa - she goes above and beyond in her job, is extremely knowledgeable of New Orleans and is a delight to talk to. Thank you again, we will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay here close to everything there is to do in New Orleans. The place is very affordable, super clean the beds are really comfy. The staff is very nice and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to New Orleans not like your big box hotels it gives you at home feel so you can feel comfortable in the big city.

The W.G. Creole House 1850 is a gem! The house is beautiful, and our private bedroom and bathroom were both spacious and clean. Each reserved bedroom has a keyless door lock. The bed was very comfortable, and we were able to get great sleep after a long travel day to New Orleans. The Inn Keeper, Melissa, was extremely helpful during our stay. She also has a lot of knowledge of New Orleans, and has a great personality! I definitely recommend!

Our stay in Creole House was absolutely amazing experience! The house is very nicely decorated, with spacious kitchen and the non-stop jazz playing on the radio. True, nobody will check you in, but the owner will send you all the info and access codes, so no worries about that. There is actually a lady taking care of the place, Melissa, and she lives just behind. She is very friendly and helpful. As for location, let me start by saying that in my opinion, safety was not an issue at any time of the day or night. I understand that, if you're coming from the suburbs, you may think it looks a bit rough, but as somebody living in Downtown Baltimore, this area looks perfectly safe. Sure, there is that tent city under the overpass, but contrary to the other comment, we had no problems or interaction of any sort. During the day we were walking everywhere, while during the night we were taking the streetcar, only because by that time we were mostly exhausted. All in all, I don't thing there's a better place for the price. I highly recommend it!

We had a blast! Clean rooms, quiet house and very close to the St Charles Street car stop. Melissa was a blessing. Well worth the price and we will be going back!

W.G Creole House 1850, was a quiet Quant lil spot in a sort of back alley location that I didn't like. It was also not walking distance from bourbon street that I didn't realize. My fault for not thoroughly researching. However, upon arrival, Melissa the guest housekeeper was warm friendly and ever so kind which made up for a few flaws in this place. Entering gave u a real New Orleans feel after after being disappointed of the outside surroundings. The place was nice clean, jazz music softly playing entering the foyer. The room was okay. Didn't expect the tiny bathroom in the hall and not in my room. A major let down, but ok. We had a canopy bed with sheer valance tied to each post that was dirty as well as the curtains. One night stand on one side of the bed, so my husband is now asking me to put everything on my side night table cause he didn't have one. Im the type of person that can make light of any bad situation, so we made it work. Nice quiet and low key. Just not for me

I canโ€™t recommend this place enough! The staff is incredibly friendly and the house is gorgeous! We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay an extra night! We had issues with hotels.com (they hung up on us 3 times) and the staff personally took care of our booking! Will be our go to spot in the future!

This is a great little gem and great for the price. Most hotels charge outrageous cleaning fees. These people do not. If you want something different than a typical hotel then go here. The only downside is it's on the other side of the highway but that's nothing a quick taxi ride or Uber ride can't fix.

We really enjoyed our short stay. Staff was attentive to our needs and that was most appreciative. Having a small fridge in the room saved the day. The room was nice and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Coffee and a microwave was available 24-7, and it was great to warm up leftovers. The advice on the website is well advised. Highly recommend the Trolly Stop Classy room.

It was startling to say the least when within 2 blocks there is a Tent City of Homeless People. The street had Homeless ppl walking up and down it not to mention the Construction was Horrendous. Some of the holes could have swallowed the little Toyota. There was NO PARKING in front of the building there was Old Broke Down Cars IN FRONT of the building. I wasnt going to park a block away, Nor risk something happening to my Vehicle. I called and stated that I didnt feel safe at this location due to ppl walking and the distance I had to walk to building. I wanted a refund whether partial or full, I got nothing and got hung up on.

Stayed here recently and loved it. You must read before you book, this hotel is not like a regular hotel. It was quiet and very well kept. The woman who keeps up with it was very sweet and willing to help with whatever we needed. Would stay again

Gave them numerous chances to respond to a very polite request (sent via email and Facebook messenger, which shows they did in fact open my messages) to waive cancellation fees for a business trip due to travel warnings. They chose to ignore me altogether, rather than respond with even a brief acknowledgement. Perhaps they couldnโ€™t even be bothered? Why give them money when they donโ€™t care about their customers?

This was the cutest hidden gem that was a short walk (30 minutes roughly) away from the French Quarter. Travis was great at communicating via text for anything we reached out to him for. We didn't meet Melissa until the last day, but she was such a sweetheart. It was a soothing place to come home to everyday compared to the bustle of French Quarter.

A short but great stay! everything was inviting and clean and as described, check-in was easy and I was able to store my bags for a couple hours after check-out time.

I stayed the first week in December... great staff, central location, updated room and bathroom, and very clean. This is a beautiful B&B. The house manager, Melissa, was very nice and helpful. The owner was always responsive to my e-mails, texts, and calls. Two minor complaints: a hurricane 2-3 months before damaged the oven and refrigerator. We has small refrigerators in the room, so no issue there. It would have been nice if they set up a toaster oven in the kitchen. That was December; I am writing this review in April, so the oven may be fixed now. The other issue is the cable TV service; there is no cable TV service like I was used to in hotels. It was a Roku TV, so it was set up for streaming services using your own account's username and password. I didn't care for that, but I was out of the room most of my visit. Also, neither of those issues were enough to drop my star rating. I would definitely stay there again!!! in fact, I recommended W.G. Creole House 1850 to friends going to NO.

Super friendly staff! Melissa was so welcoming! The location is right next to the stadiums. Lots of things in walking distance. This is probably my new favorite place to stay in New Orleans!
