The French onion soup was warm, not hot, with one little island of bread and cheese in the middle. The fries were over fried, and the nuts on the cheesecake were old. But it was less expensive than some other French restaurants, and it was nice and intimate in a small stablish mint. Please keep in mind that they only take cash and check. And the bill was handwritten.

Delightful French restaurant. That red wine steak is chef kiss. Hot damn I had the canard, which means duck to the dumb dumbs. It was crispy and juicy. Like how you imagine Popeyes should taste before it breaks your heart.

One of my favorite little romantic bistros uptown. Consistently great since the 90’s. Everything is great , go and have mussels and wine or just order a pizza to take home it’s all delicious .

There is no steak house in the city which can do a filet a fraction as good as Cote Sud. Everything here is great, and I love the atmosphere. Every time I eat here I wonder why I don't come here more often as it's always delicious, and in my opinion, really under priced for what you receive. Edit: Came again (multiple times since this review), and it may be my favorite restaurant in this city. Amazing food every time, ridiculous wine list, and terrific service.

This is a great small spot with a charming personality in a pleasant area. Our service was a bit on the slow side and given the current situation we had requested outdoor seating which is obviously not the norm. The pizza was good as were the muscles and certainly we did not leave hungry. Would eat again for sure.

Delightful small restaurant in a quiet area. We would be regulars if we didn't live 400 miles away! Apple and carrot soup was a real hit. About 5 minutes walk from the streetcar stop.

Wonderful quaint French restaurant, extensive wine list. You will be spoiled for choice what to eat. Food is very flavorful.

We really wanted to like this place, but it just missed the mark on a few fronts. The pasta was soupy, the noodles were soft, vegetables a bit mushy. Prices were $3-5 more than the menu online. The duck was tasty, the tomatoes in the caprese were fresh, our server was friendly, but I can’t recommend this restaurant.

Cozy, out of the way place. One of the best meals we had in town.

A very cosy place where cocktails and dishes were delightful. A « real » place. No extravagance just good and tasty food. A plus for me as a French gourmet !

Hidden gem! We keep coming back. I've been 3 times now. The pizza is amazing. Every entree I have had so far is fantastic. You don't just get "high-fat cheese and pasta" here. It's French/Italian cuisine, but do not mistake this for Olive Garden. They really give this the gourmet touch. Plenty of seasonings, perfectly executed. Great prices for what they do. And no other restaurant in New Orleans has done this for me: When I enter Cote Sud, I feel like I am immediately transported back to Europe. I'm impressed.
