We were amazed with service and choice of food at Shahi Masala, it was very busy on Saturday evening but this was expected. The staff made every effort to ensure we had a great evening as we seated within a few minutes after arrival. The choice and quality of food was superb. Every dish that we chose was well cooked and tasted great and I highly recommend this restaurant and the benefit of buffet styled cuisine.

Really enjoyed our time with family, very goof selection of food for all ages and taste buds.. Some food is freshly cooked.. Only few dishes were bit cold, but the treats for kids was amazing and drinks are included in the price, which is a bonus.. Very clean, staff friendly.. Would definitely recommend and visit again..

Let me start by saying, if your looking for Indian spicy food, then you should avoid this place. Went to this buffet with friends. Heard so much good about this place, from my Asian family too. Thought give it a try. Weekday price £19.95 a head. Pricey, but if foods nice, it's not a problem. The place is well decorated, so those who want selfies, this is a place for you. First impression, very nicely set out. Tried there starters, not impressed. No salt or spiciness. Tried there main dishes, all had the same problem. All lacked salt and forget to even think any spicy in the food. My friends were unhappy they spent £20 yet still hungry as food was not nice. There was cones for ice cream, had bite marks on them, the chocolate fountain was not sweet, and the marshmallows were dry. The main dishes were half empty (as it was a weekday). Service was not great, as the chefs were not eager to help you. I can say only the drinks were nice. If your looking for a spicy meal, then I would definitely avoid this place. Thanks for taking your time out to check my review.

Absolutely loved it. One of the best ever buffet outlets I've been to. Stand out point is a customer service. Everyone is so attentive, plates are being taken away quickly, in general customer service is of a level you would expect from a top restaurant not an buffet. All dishes are indeed very good and definitely prepared/cooked from a fresh ingredients. Drinks are inclusive and on top of that this is not just 3, 4 to choose from but instead it is quite a selection of fizzy and still ones to satisfy everyone's taste. I do recommend live pot noodle station. It doesn't take that long to prepare whatever you choose for your pot and the choice of ingredients and sauces is really good. There's always big queue for live chops station. Although this are alright I would suggest not to waste your time if the queue is more than 15 minutes. Car park is quite big but having said that was absolutely full on Saturday evening when we went and you might end up waiting for someone to leave in order to park your car.

Stopped by there on the other night to taste their buffet. Building decorated well and spacious place for many tables. Highly recommended visit on the week days as Friday and Saturday getting busy. Buffet menu mainly based on Indian and Pakistani cusine and also pizza and pasta section available. Various dishes of lamb and chicken available. Based on My experience Lamb Korma is nice. However lamb chops were not good they have chicken shawarma as well. Their desert section wasn't enough to have sweet treatment at the end of meal. Machine İce-cream isn't much preferable. Also another disappointed point they charge extra for hot drinks if you want have.

Starting from my graduation day today Everything was going amazing.Than we make plan to celebrate graduation dinner there. We were group of 5 people payed and they Set us on the table. That was the worst experience of my life I have ruined my day. When I put some biryani in my place With the first bite I tasted like Weired. The worst biryani I had in my life with off smell inside.I told Guy with Curly hairs about that and he shouted on me As I felt like were are entered free to eat food. The Attitude of that guy was very very bad with loud voice towards me that this is our taste always disgusting! Than Going towards mains Namkin gosht God knows It gives like same smell.Even all lamb curries in the mains were very Nasty that no one will able to eat more of them. This Restaurant ruined my whole day and made my day worst.Even we returned home eating nothing after paying more than 100£.Will never ever going back.Worst experience of my life.I wish I could say anything to management but there were no one willing to listen. But For Sure I will gonna complain this to food authorities that to go and check there meats as they cook it fresh or use them weeks. And everyone going to eat there please make sure to smell the biryani and all lamb curries specially.

The places is huge with lot of seating capacity. Sometimes you feel like you are in a marriage party 😂 It is was crowded and I had to queue on few stalls to get the food. Buffet has large variety of cuisines- Italian, Chinese and of course Indian/Pakistani. Taste of most the food was great, however some chicken dishes were smelly and appeared to be old. Tastes a bit from most of the stalls. Best and must try is mutton kebab and haleem. Can ignore dishes- mutton pulao, zarda rice It would have deserved 5 stars if tea/coffee was included in the buffet and the problems mentioned above could have been tackled

We visited Shahi Masala on Mother's Day with around 25 family members. We booked a table in advance. The manager was very patient with us as we all arrived at slightly different times and in a staggered kind of way. We are Asians after all! Once in, we enjoyed the food. Plenty of variety and the pakoreh and chicken dishes in particular were absolutely outstanding. There were plenty of desserts too including a chocolate fountain although I couldn't believe they didn't have rasmalai. That's a crime in an Asian Restaurant, no...?? Bottomless drinks too with lots of variety again... from colas to lemonades to fruity soft drinks and even delicious Mango Lassi. In order to improve, there should be two or three cutlery stations and plenty more napkins available on or near tables. Also, the self-service ice cream machine was a mess. A member of staff should be manning that machine at all times because it wasn't easy to use at all. Lastly, you can't have a chocolate fountain without strawberries. Marshmallows alone aren't enough. Apart from that, it was a lovely evening and the staff were very friendly and polite. Thank you for your wonderful food - everyone at Shahi Masala!

Travelled all the way from Manchester, because I heard so much about this place. Someone who is from Lahore, we tend to be very food, conscious. The food at this place is absolutely disgusting. The meat was saggy like it’s been rotted meat used. The chicken smelt disgusting. I was completely put off by the food. For all people out there who are food lovers please stay away from this place. Highly not recommended.

HMC certified Meats, Large spread you name it they got in the buffet, taste and quality is decent for the price you pay. However it needs big time improvements in service areas , didn’t notice anyone managing the place like looking after the tables , cutlery and maintenance of the dining area. Moreover, limited desert options with mild flavours otherwise the starters and main course are all-right.

Amazing food, experience and environment. Plenty of free parking. Probably the only buffet with unlimited drinks especially mango lassi.

Went with my family on Saturday was quite busy on the counter the person took the details of how many in total as we were 5 been told to wait and will give you a call, keep in mind they were try to accommodate you as soon as a table of your required number of people available you may see the people came after you might go earlier than you and the reason is that the table of required number of people available hope this make any sense. Even it was busy but everything was available to try, all the food trays were full and the staffs were keep filling as soon as the tray about to get empty. A lot of variety of food available of different types, start with salad, starter and so on. Mostly all the food taste were good. My family enjoyed a lot specially the main focus of my kids was chocolate fountain and marshmallows. Staff were very quick to take the used plates and staff and will keeping your table clean. Good experience will definitely recommend to my friends and families.

Great place, great food. Caters a wide variety of food, most the food we had was really nice! The lasagna though! 👌 Definitely worth getting up 3 times for alone! But there's a range of food, from pizzas, pastas, chops fish pakoras, chicken pakoras to curries and lasagna to Shawarma (which wasn't there the day we went, sadly) and even Chinese food. This place does it all, will definitely be able to please to please everyone. As they offer some special curries such as Nihari and butter chicken which are faves all round. Would I return, definitely. The price has increased to £22, however I do think it's worth it, but again that's subjective to how much you'd eat or how many foods you'd try. They do have a nice dessert range, where the lemon cheesecake bites are amazing! Nice firm cheese filling, crunchy base, with a lovely lemon drizzle on top. There are toilet facilities and this place takes card, which are always plus points in my opinion. Clean environment and family friendly.

A good Asian dining place with ample of parking. I particularly liked the variety that they offered. If you are fond of chicken and lamb you have plenty of options for both. Don't worry if you are vegetarian, they have vegan options as well(I didn't taste though). It's quite spacious as well.

Food is amazing, if you're craving desi food this place is a must visit, don't go there for the ambiance though as you won't find any.

Visited this Asian style Buffet in Birmingham on weekday. The spread was good and servers behavior was polite.Food quality was okay ,I won't say very good.I was expecting better when the price per head is 17.95 £(Unlimited Soft Drinks included). Some of the kabab items tastes dry and in desserts the items were very few.All traditional sub continental dishes like Nihari,Paya,Haleem was there but taste was not up to the mark.4-5 lamb curry and same no of chicken curry dishes was there and almost all looks and taste same.Nothing stands out in particular. In live counters, you can have Swarma, pasta, noodles,Lamb chops.Salad collection was adequate.Ice counter was there. The sitting arrangements was good and servers were cleaning the tables and takings the used plates from tables at regular intervals. No complains there. You can stay for 90 mins at you table once you are in which is sufficient enough time I believe:). Overall an okeish kind of experience.Probably won't revisit.

Good buffet place. Variety of food. Staff over worked. Food warm some could have been hotter. I would have preferred if starters to be at the start rather then in the middle.price ok please correct opening timings.

It's a decent place to fill your stomach. Varieties are many. Vegetarian options are available. Unlimited food quantity. I honestly rate the quality and taste of food to be subpar. At £22 it's a bargain to fill your stomach, but it doesn't enrich your palate.
