You can be a photographer if you be there. The scenes around you is like that. Greenish day. Forestry moment. Just enjoy the silence.

This place can’t be described in words. It’s a watchtower converted into an accommodation and managed by the government. It’s in middle of the forest near the dam. It’s protected by electric fence to avoid any risk of animal attack. It’s definitely not for the people who are looking out for some luxury but for the nature enthusiasts who love to be in the jungle sitting out in the balcony with the flash light, trying to spot some animals.

Location wise, its one of the most serene spots in Masinagudi. Only way to book the place is via Madumalai tiger reserve website. Online booking is available. Roughly costs 5k/ room/ night. Cook will be mostly provided, but don't assume that he will be responsible. Better to arrange some eatables in advance. Masinagudi is close by for food. Clean rooms with blankets.

For those of you who seek true isolation and love the feeling of wildlife just outside your window, this place should be on your list. Our highlights were a troop of otters swimming in the catchment area and a tusker that ran across the tower at 5 AM after swimming across from the opposite bank..
