They don’t let take pictures or videos of the inside of the place. It’s a place for prayer I know that, but it’s also an astonishing architectural place and touristic site of Cholula. There is no other thing to do around this church, just to contemplate the place.

Don't forget to visit the San Francisco Acatepec Church, one of the most beautiful places around, the church is famous worldwide for his baroque architecture, full of gold and talavera details.

A baroque gem in the countryside! Although not as ornate as Tonantzintla it makes up for it with a very welcoming staff!

Beautiful cathedral with public access. Still at the heart of the community, as we witnessed a gorgeous wedding an a couple of baby baptisms on a Saturday!

Beautiful. Not someone who attends church, but to deny this is beautiful would be a sin.

Is a beautiful church, and we got lucky went we went to see it, there was a massive celebration! So we got to live the whole devotion experience from several churches from the area after miles of them walking from the Church on top of a piramade (cholula) all the way to San Francisco's church. Was awesome!!

The Temple of San Francisco Acatepec is a church located in the municipality of San Andrés Cholula, in the state of Puebla, Mexico. It is known for its impressive tiled façade, which is a prominent example of the Mexican Baroque style. These tiles, of Talavera origin, form intricate geometric and floral designs, creating a colorful and unique facade. The temple was built in the 16th century on a pre-Hispanic pyramid, as part of the process of evangelization of the area by the Franciscans. It is an important cultural and historical heritage site in Mexico and attracts numerous visitors each year.

Really nice church. Barroque style with incredible 'talavera' works. It's dated from s.XVI finished until 1800s. Is perfect for celebrations like weddings or baptisms and it has an really beautiful atrium.

This was a very beautiful church, the finishes where amazing and the detail work is great. We went to this church due to a wedding and even though it's very small the art and structure where great. Would definitely like to see it again.
