Don’t be fooled by the street vendor appearance. Ivan is a chef that has gone rouge. The fact that you might not find him later in the day because he sells out of fish speaks for itself. I had a cup of sashimi that blew me away!! Great balanced taste! Not too spicy with just the right amount of ingredients that enhanced the fish flavor. Hope you get to try it.

Best ceviche and sashimi I have ever had in my entire life!!! If you are in Loreto you have to stop here and say hello to Ivan! He is amazing and super friendly! Extremely passionate about his work and only serves the freshest food! He works extremely hard and loves what he does! Go try it out and you will not be disappointed!!

Absolutely delicious ceviche! And Ivan is so friendly and wonderful. As fresh as you can get from sea to table - we saw him get a yellowtail from a local fisherman and wash and prepare a Hawaiian style poke. His shrimp and Acapulco ceviche are also delicious. A must try in Loreto!

A MASTER indeed!! Don't be taken aback by the corner setup he has going on. The ceviche is excellent. It's cold. And most importantly, it does NOT smell fishy. And you can get it with crackers or tortillas. I'm always apprehensive about ceviche because I DO NOT LIKE uncooked nor undercooked fish. But let me tell you, this ceviche was excellent!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ First, the fish was thoroughly cooked in the acid of the lime and other seasonings. And it was not overcooked, tough nor rubbery. The seasonings all together were popping. This one even had olives (but watch out for the pits). It was tasty but not spicy. I would HIGHLY recommend that you make this spot a stop on your list of places to try in Loreto. Excellent job Iván!!

I'm NOT the type to ever eat street vendor food but we sampled Ivan's ceviche one day and thought it was AmAzIng! Next day after experiencing no digestive issues we bought 2 half containers with crackers and tostados shells. It's an explosion of amazing flavor. Ask for a sample if you see Ivan set up on the Malacon.

This ceviche is unbelievably good, best I've ever had, and I love ceviche. Ivan is a master chef, has at least 3 kinds of ceviche daily (and also poke!), uses all his own recipes. He wakes up at 2 am every day to make the ceviche. He said he makes better money and enjoys himself more working from his little stand then working in a restaurant. What a treat to have such amazing street food!

World’s freshest and tastiest ceviche. Ivan is friendly, helpful and he speaks English better than most Americans. He sells the ceviche, fish or shrimp based, in three different sizes and provides crackers or tostadas. You will love the flavor and the experience.

Incredible ceviche and poke! We immediately went back for seconds. The fish ceviche - both regular and Acapulco style - were delicious, as was the yellowtail poke. Iván was super friendly and was clearly an excellent chef. Fish was super fresh

So we had just gotten off the boat in Loreto. Walking the malecon when we spotted a woman selling ceviche from a cart. We got pescado ceviche. Then, found some shade to enjoy our snack. Tasted like they had just caught the fish. Was delicious. Probably the best ceviche we have had so far.

To know what FANTASTIC GOURMET FRESH tastes like, you need to look no further than Ivan and his sashimi and fresh foods he prepares daily as you dream of the tastes and flavors. This is what all fresh fast food should be and you will not have any regrets of stopping here on your way to site see LORETO, BAJA SUR. What a great way to feed your heart, mind and soul. Thank you Ivan for taking the time to make this part of the Loreto Experience. Great work!!!!

So grateful I got to meet Ivan and his mom today. His Ceviche was FANTASTIC!! He gave us samples before we purchased. One was in a red sauce and the other in lime. Great price for plenty. Four of us split two “small” cups. You’re missing out if you’re not trying it. He even gave me some tips for how to make it at home. Thank you Ivan!! We’ll see you next time we’re in town and I’ll be dreaming about your ceviche until then!

Ivan was so friendly and nice, and let us try both ceviche choices before choosing - we ended up choosing the shrimp, but the fish was delicious as well. Definitely some of the best ceviche we’ve ever had. He got the nickname “ceviche master” for a reason! The area is beautiful too, right by the Loreto sign by the harbor. Plenty of parking along three street or easy to grab and carry if you’re just walking by. He will pack up everything nicely so you can take it to go. Or get it on a try and sit and visit with him.

My husband, myself, and our friend took a 2 week camping trip up and down the Baja peninsula. We stopped in Loreto for 2 nights, on day 1 we walked down to the waterfront looking for a restaurant. We came across Mariscos Ivan while walking, he noticed that we looked a little lost. Right away he asked us what we were looking for and we told him a restaurant. Full disclosure, I do not eat ceviche but my husband and friend does. Instead of trying to talk us into eating from his place, he graciously referred us to a restaurant that was more MY style. He also gave the boys some samples of his secret sauce. We told Ivan we would definitely be back tomorrow. The guys kept talking about it for the rest of the day, and how they couldn't wait to go back to Mariscos Ivan the next day. Day 2 we were on a mission straight back to Ivan's and praying that the local fisherman had a good catch. Ivan did warn us that he can sell out pretty early in the day. The gracious man that Ivan is, SAVED two decent size servings of Poke just for us. Of course the boys got a tub of service to go as well. All and all it was an excellent experience, Ivan is funny, sweet and just the type of guy you'd see yourself being friends with. Back to the food, the guys still couldn't stop talking about it. It was the best Poke they have ever had. And when I asked what was their favorite meal of the entire two week trip..... it was Ivan's! So thank you Ivan. P.s. the ice cream shop you sent us too was also great!

It’s perfect to take some ceviche before sealing towards isla coronado, (since there is nothing to eat there), Ivan is super prepared for take out and has two types of delicious ceviches

Delicious ceviche! Giant portions as well, even a small size was more than enough to share. The owner was very pleasant, funny, and you can tell passionate about his work. Even after we bought food he wanted us to sample another style because he had just finished making it and wanted someone to try it fresh. Will go back!

Amazing!! Had walked by many times and never stopped, but decided to give it a try. Ivan let me sample his ceviches. They were so good I went back the next day and bought a pint of 2 different styles. It was a very good portion of food! Our guests enjoyed it as well! Will definitely go back! Grab some before you head out fishing or on an island tour-it’s the perfect snack or lunch!
