We had an amazing time with the dolphins. No personal camera is allowed, so if you want pictures you have to purchase the picture package in advance. We did the medium priced package which was a lot of fun. Thanks to the other reviewer I called to book and saved $200 compared to the website prices. You have access to the water park after. Is it the safest thing…. no, so use your best judgment on which rides to use or not use. This was a great day away from the resort to mix it up and have an experience like non-other!

If you want a change of scenery and somewhere to cool off, this offered it. Book online 24 hours in advance to save around $5 pp, otherwise its $25usd per 13+person. Its tired and rusty in some spots but our teen loved it.

Nor really worth it. Not safe for the kids. Not well maintained. I guess for 70 dollars you may at least do a new painting yearly to make it look attractive. The dolphin show was short but not bad. Kids' attractions stairs are concrete and steel as in the pic which makes them completely unsafe. I left early because it was really boring.

Super fun. Friendly staff. Although the slides were deteriorating a bit, what do you expect with the weather here. Slides were so much fun, the ones that were open. Great experience with dolphins. Not everything was open, but they are still dealing with this pandemic as everyone else I'm sure. Good place to check out.

We had a good experience. The nachos were fantastic! The place is a little run down. Could use some cosmetic upgrades. That didn't impact the fantastic day we had.

Will never go back. Entire property needs several updates, and you will need to bring your own towels. The food and drinks are very below average. Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

The water park was ok. It's not amazing and not all out bad. We got free tickets to this place. We were there when they opened at 11 am. Not many people were there, but they got busier as the day progressed. The place needs some work, and the lazy river had stuff floating in it as it got busier. I believe it was algae?? There are 10 slides, I believe. Several were not open at 11am but opened later in the day. It was a bit unorganized when it came to one operator running 4 slides. Kind of a line, but people were jumping in front. Disorganized, and the operator at this particular spot didn't speak English, so it was hard to communicate other than just pointing. Lots of kid birthday parties in the reserved areas. Dolphin show (which is about 15 mins) was cool. The food was ok, not great. The water in all attractions got really warm as the day progressed. We left at about 3pm as the water was just too warm (mid-July), almost hot tub warm. It was fine for a one-time, free afternoon. But, I definitely wouldn't want to blow a day of vacation if I was only here for 5 to 7 days. *Note, we are probably a bit spoiled and have a higher bar as we are from California, where there are some really nice, huge water parks.

A little run down but lots of fun! Check the ages on the slides and make sure you bring extra clothes for the rock climbing, and zip lining because you can't be wet. You also need closed toe shoes for some activities. They also didn't announce the dolphin or sea lion show, so we missed them. The ground going into the lazy river is super slimy, but it wasn't crowded and was very relaxing. They seemed short on staff so a few slides weren't open, but my kids had a blast.

My family and I went there for a few hours while our ship was at port. General slide entry was approximately $25 usd for myself, husband and daughter. We were told that their zipline was closed when we called. Also, we were told we did not need reservations or purchase tickets online all in a courteous manner in Spanish. They have several tube slides, open air slides, 5ft pool, kiddie splash, lazy river, zipline, sealion & dolphin experience, restaurant, snackbar, bar, and gift store. We were extremely pleased with all amenities which were clean; lockers, bathrooms, dressing rooms, showers. Our waiter Ricardo was very courteous and friendly. We paid about $3 usd for soda and ice cream. I would recommend if you are looking for a fun experience for children and families. This is Mexico, so if you don't like to see roaming cats this park is not for you. fyi since we were coming from a ship at Port we were told our taxi driver would honor the rate we paid to get there. So we did not need to negotiate taxi rate. This may differ for anyone coming from another destination.

Went for the dolphin experience and the park was included, as well as the zip line, challenge and lunch. Not too busy and a nice way to spend a few hours. Lockers are provided to store belongings.

Had a great time here yesterday. Mid week was not busy at all. We went for the dolphin experience, and it was incredible. The trainers and animals have a great working relationship, and the animals are well cared for and seem happy. We stayed for the waterslides and had fun the rest of the day. Even adults have a blast here! The waterslides were open on a rotating schedule, and kept us having fun all day. The tube slides were the best. We also enjoyed many trips around the lazy river. There is a younger kids water park, zipline, and aerial terrain park that our kids weren't interested in. We ended the day with a sea lion show. One drawback was the limited meals with the food vouchers- it was just deep fried American food. We've already recommended this place, and would love to come back for all the aerial activities.

The dolphin experience was wonderful. The staff was great and the pictures were phenomenal. Having access to the water park was nice however about half of the sides were closed. Food was decent but nothing special. We did have fun on the rides that were open though and everyone was very friendly.

Our experience here was somewhat disappointing. The infrastructure is quite old, most slides were closed and there wasn't much to do for even 3 hours. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking to make a day out of it. If you have nothing else going on, wouldn't hurt to spend a couple hours here. Also, it's way overpriced for what they offer and getting a cab from PV to this place is expensive. Entrance: 500 pesos, locker rent: 40 pesos. Cab from PV: 250 pesos each way.

An affordable option that will keep kids entertained. We tried the dolphin encounter and it was really well done. The park as a whole is pretty tired. The slides were fun and there were no lines at all but they need to remove some rust and put some fresh paint on the equipment they have. Food was pretty good and very affordable. For a few hours Of an excursion in PV it’s worth it. Just have realistic expectations as this is not a modern water park.

Would we go here again? Sure! We came here because we were on a cruise. We found that booking directly from its website was half the cost than from the cruise line. Yes, there's a possibility that we could be left if we didn't get back to the ship in time, but it was such a long port day that we weren't worried. We found an Uber to get us there from the cruise terminal. It took 20 mins, and It was about $15 for 6 people to get there. We were pleasantly surprised that our tickets included lunch. We couldn't pick from their full menu with it, just a cheese hamburger, hot dog, chicken nuggets, or a salad. It came with a drink. It was something to hold us over until we left to find tacos! We booked the sea lion experience. Dolphins are great, but sea lions are just fun and hilarious. Sea lions don't get enough credit, and we were the only ones in the group! We got to meet and interact with Diego and Popeye. Diego is a sweet young sea lion who was very gentle with our kids. All the interaction with Diego and kids were done on land because the sea lions get close and personable. They would knock the kids out in the water while giving them a kiss. Popeye is a bigger sea lion. All of us in our party got to pet Popeye as he swam numerous times by us. The adults were then able to get the same experience as the kids by sticking our tongues out, opening our mouths with the sea lion, and getting a great big kiss! This was done with pictures that cost 5,400 in pesos. That is about $320 US. That is ridiculous since we can't bring phones/cameras in. That's how they make their money. They won't haggle with you. After our fun with Diego and Popeye, we spent a couple of hours in the water park. It's a little run down but still very fun.

Overall, it wasn't good. Honestly, the reason I'm even giving two stars is because of the dolphin adventure. The dolphins are well trained and the activities you do with the dolphins are fun but the rest of the experience was bad. Most of the problem was a lack of communication between workers, there were many times workers told us multiple different things, especially when buying photo. The price that we were told for one person to buy all of the photos was 800 pesos, we asked many times, making sure that was how it worked, and went to eat. When we came back and another worker told us it was 800 pesos to buy photos of only one person, not all of the photos bought by one person. For all of the photos it was around 3000 pesos, which is incrediblely overpriced. Reading other reviews I've discovered other people were being ripped off and paying extra for the photos.

The park was wonderful! Clean, organized, and staff/lifeguards everywhere. This was especially nice considering we have two small kids. The water slides are fabulous! Several different ones to choose from and well watered so you don’t get stuck halfway down. The dolphin encounter was the highlight of the trip. Actually bring in the tank with the dolphins and interacting through the trainer was really cool. We even got to let our 3 y/o get in with us. Again, there was a ton of supervision so we weren’t that worried. Areas of improvement: they need more signage. It was difficult finding where we needed to be for certain events because of signage. We both speak fluent Spanish and they didn’t even have Spanish signage. Finally, price... we got our tickets from a vendor on the boardwalk in Vallarta. Cost for two adults and two kids was about $160US. That got us entry and the dolphin encounter. They take pictures during the dolphin encounter and forbid cameras. This effectively forces you to buy their photos. The cheapest package which included 5 prints and a download of the other pictures they took for about $165. Total cost: $325 roughy. A little expensive but how often do you get to swim with a dolphin?

Had a blast at both the waterpark and with the dolphins! An awesome experience all around... My only tip to those coming from out of town, some water slides don't open until later in the day. 2pm. So don't rush to get there first thing.. lol. But overall, 5 out of 5!

The rides aren’t safe, my husband got a terrible concussion from going down the toilet bowl slide and my other daughter hurt her arm in the tube slide. There’s something to be said for the safety standards we have in Canada. I’d never recommend this place to anyone.

Is great for the dolphin but the facility need to be clean and touch up in paint. It feel ghetto place. Definitely an upgrade will be awesome have everyone clean the areas and organize the equipment they are not using.

Very old and not maintained for the extermerly expensive experience we had.they charge alot just to have the photos. They asked you to pay 2400 and if you don't take the deal, then they ask you to pay 2800 for four people after the tour is done or 600 for just one photo. Really taking advantage of the tourist.

Little dated facility and needs a lot of maintenance and renovations. But the highlight is only the dolphin and sea lion encounters, staff are friendly and highly trained with dolphins. Highly recommended only for dolphin and sea lion activities.

As a tourist I was not disappointed, the park is in good shape despite all the reviews I read about it being in disrepair. The paint is being redone slowly and it is clean and safe and the slides are really fun. If you have kids this would be perfect for a half day. If you are a fun couple it could also be fun for a half day, me and my wife had a great time and we only rode slides and ate. The food was ok, you can eat it to get full but it's not tastey by any means. Little pricey to get in but it was fun and ended up being worth it. Mostly local people there.

From a Canadian perspective, this was a great day. 4 and 7 year olds loved it. Super friendly staff, nice variety of slides for all. Close to the hotel district (20-25 dollar cab ride). Great value as well and decent food inside at reasonable prices.

Park access was included in our dolphin discover centre ticket. We went mainly for the dolphins and didn't spend too much time on the slides - they seemed a little run down and more appropriate for older kids (ours is 3yr old and not tall enough for the big slides, but he enjoyed running around in one of the shallower pools). Seemed like a nice place for locals to host birthday parties. Lots of snack options around but was a bit overpriced - around 50 pesos for a popsicle. Also unrelated: exchange rates here were the best we had seen (compared to airport, hotel, etc), so if you have foreign currency you want to exchange, maybe consider bringing it with you! Also there is free wifi.

The family and I had a good time. They charged us $1350 pesos for 5 adults to use the pools and the toboganes only. The pool wasn’t the cleanest I saw a couple of dead flies but we still had a good time.

The dolphin discovery experience was AMAZING. They even let my 5 year old do a lot of the interactions and tricks that adults were doing. Very safe, clean, and well managed. 5 stars for this area. The grounds, slides and pools were a bit overrun with little management and could use an update. All in all, our family had a great day here

Really this park need a maintenance. Need to paint the tubes and some areas. The entrance is very complicated to find. Not all slides are open at same time. And after a hour all slides was shutdown for electrical problems. But not all is bad. The slides are very fun and fast. The staff are very friendly and help us with the refund for the electric problem.

This place seriously need some money spent on it. The pool is really dirty, lots of sediment and I actually found a chicken bone in the child’s pool (!)as well as lots of bird poo and rocks and stones. The slides are good but look very tired and worn and lots of rubbish on the floor. I didn’t go to the dolphins because I don’t agree with dolphins and captivity but the pools look really small and the money that they charge for this activity they should really be spending on upkeep of the place. The food is very limited just fried food and snacks and the tables and chairs and sitting area are also very worn and dirty. My little ones did enjoy the day out but I found it not so enjoyable and as I said mainly just the level of upkeep of the place it’s not great. It’s not cheap for what you get. Better to spend your money at one of the nice beaches.

We did the dolphin experience. We recieved it free for doing a time share presentation. We found the place dirty and did not stay to play in the water park. The animals looked to have sores on them. I felt guilty for being there actually. The water in the kids water slides was floating with garbage. We were told no change when trying to buy water with pesos. We had to charge it to our card. We saw the dolphins at vallarta adventures who looked happy and healthy and wish we would have never experienced this place. The dolphin staff was nice. They place does not allow you to take photo on your phone with dolphins. You must prepay to get a family photo. $90 US we do not recommend.

  • 2/5 Timi S. 2 years ago on Google
The best times of this park have passed. Many slides were out of order, and when you use one of the rusty ones still in operation you will get scratches on your bag. There are no sun loungers available but only filthy plastic chairs and tables. Be careful as foreigners will be charged a much higher entry price (350 vs 510 pesos). The sea lion show was good.

  • 3/5 Karla S. 2 years ago on Google
A little run down, the life jackets are a disgrace, the restaurant is out of all the options that come with the meal ticket so you have to purchase a different thing. Bathrooms floors were super wet and slippery and toilets were really dirty. The kids area is super fun for the little ones and was the highlight of the experience.

I'm not sure how to feel about this place. It's not that it's not fun; it can be fun, until you hurt yourself. Seriously, the safety protocols in this place are seriously lacking. And I'm not talking about Covid protocols I'm talking about actual bodily harm. Not a place I'd hurry to return to.

  • 2/5 angela c. 1 year ago on Google
The dolphin encounter was amazing. They treat them very well. The dolphin encounter people were awesome especially "Emma". The Waterpark was old, run down. The water was so murky I forbid to even go in. The check in staff was so disorganized. 1 tells you go here another tells you go there. Only a few staff speak English. You have to pay for the pics and it's another $1200+ pesos. Ridiculous prices for sure. I would give the dolphin encounter a 5 every thing else a 2.

First off, Dolphin Discovery and the dolphin and sea lion programs are 5+ stars. The trainers/presenters are fantastic and fun, the experiences are amazing and everything runs smoothly. And the sit-down eatery had good food and good service. Be warned the “swimmer meal” that comes with some of the packages is ONLY for hot dogs or cheeseburgers, which come with fries, and only soda for the drink. My kids are both vegetarians so I got one of the cheeseburgers and they both had to order off the menu. The waiter was great though and comped my kiddo’s lemonade and gave us refills of the sodas since we didn’t get a second burger/dog. The water park, though, was a bit of a disappointment. They boast 10 water slides, but when we were there only 4 were running at first and then eventually more were added, but many of the slides were closed for repair. We wanted to get an icee, but they didn’t have it working, we wanted to get ice cream and they didn’t have chocolate and vanilla! We eventually found both, but it was going back and forth to different places trying to find what they all had advertised. The overall state of the park is disrepair. The walkways up to the slides are all peeling and the railing and slide paint is chipped . There are brooms and welding hats and other stuff just hanging from or leaning against rails on the walkway. Besides the slides, the only place for adults to be in water is the “lazy river.” I pictured a serpentine cement river with enough current to move you around it. Unfortunately, it’s a little too lazy and so instead of floating gently along a current, you barely move and get bored. My kids had a fun time, and for the admission price, it’s still a decent deal, but come prepared with lower expectations. And also, if you plan to do the adventure course, zip lines or climbing wall, bring decent sneakers or shoes. Flip flops or slides make them less fun.

  • 4/5 Daniel N. 1 year ago on Google
Zipline, rock climbing and obstacle course were closed at the time; but the price paid was reasonable for what was open. The dolphins were awesome. The park could use more maintenance but given the climate and the lack of solid revenue in recent years it doesn't look as bad as indoor water parks in Canada, which are also a whole lot more expensive to enter and far more dated.

  • 2/5 Jason 2 years ago on Google
Pros: No line up/crowds Plenty of seating Lots of food stores to choose from You can see dolphins from a distance without having to pay Great place to take kids Cons: A miracle these steel and cement structures are standing! As a lot of parts are crucially rusted They don't run all the slides at once Feels very rundown Price 25 usd per adult Lazy River is....very lazy... Expensive food selection Towels are for sale only Some of the slides have pretty significant bumps in them bruising you up pretty good Not really the best location from PV overall, still fun

very fun place to take kids to do dolphin learning and interaction + water fun for the day. Zip lines, water slides, water fun, lazy river. Great for the day!!!! Highly recommend. Reasonable prices ... the photo package for the Dolphin is extremely high.
