A favorite place of ours in Mazatlan. It's surrounded by a great selection of restaurants. We visit 3- 4 times over our 10 day visit. It's close to 3-4 artist studios that offer local textiles, art, and jewelry. It's a slice of Mazatlan life.

Beautiful, historic Mazatlan. Looks as much like Europe as it does Mexico. A must see for unique shops, restaurants, music and local vendors. The Plazuela is teeming with local families, tourists, vendors and backpackers. Plazuela Machado is decorated for holidays and carnival making for an enchanting experience.

What a charming town. It’s easy to navigate by foot and there aren’t all these hawkers bothering you about their wares (unlike Cabo’s piers). You can easily explore center and then be at the beach. I also liked the architecture and the painted houses - reminded me a bit of Guanajuato. Can’t wait to explore more.

One of the places you have to experience when in Mazatlan! Very vibrant place on Friday & Saturday nights. Plazuela Machado is a blend of music, culture, art, and food! During the day enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, relax and enjoy a coffee or a meal at one of several shops or restaurants.

Very cute and neat place to hang out. Lots of restaurants and sculptures. The homes in the surrounding streets are cozy with many different bright colors. A bit on the older architectures, very much like European style. Pretty clean and safe. Recommend strolling around and head toward the Malecón!

Such a beautiful church! Amazing and stunning architecture. Maybe not the best part of the city

Too many booths selling stuff, so it make it tough to see the restaurants around or walk freely.

Cultural center. Every night live music multiple options during winter. The rest of the year on Thursday thru Sunday.. Lots of tiny kiosks to buy stuff and TONS of good restaurants.

Nice place to hang out for a good meal with a relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of good restaurants in the area as well as a few vendors. There is a restaurant called Cielo that has amazing camarones a la diabla and camarones al mojo de ajo. Also you have to try the octopus, that thing is freaking delicious.

Loved visiting it the day after the end of carnaval, with the big decoration still there. We went during the day, and also the evening, and the feeling was different but as enjoyable both times. Safe, clean, beautiful historic neighborhood.

Plaza Machado during evening hours is filled with sidewalk cafes and twinkling lights. Music fills the background while people stroll the Plaza.

It was a fun place to go to get off of hotel property, but it was a little smaller than we’d expected. It is just a couple blocks wide. The vendors there are cool with some of them handmade, but some just bulk items from Amazon. We enjoyed the Day of The Dead decorations that were still up at the beginning of November. Not too hot.

Magical to say the least. This plaza is jam-packed with good restaurants unbelievable prices I suggest making a reservation wherever you want to go this is in the heart of old Mazatlan. If you like historical architecture you will love walking around here. the center is full of artisan vendors and the restaurants lay about in a square surrounding the center where people walk around and street performers and musicians do their thing. there are several great restaurants just around the corner from this plaza as well.

👍👍 We were here for a day on a cruise. This was the best stop on our tour. It’s very picturesque and the cliff divers wait until there’s a crowd to watch them dive. Only negative was that they aggressively beg for tips. I’m good with tipping but give me a minute to get the money, you don’t have to stal...
