It is a hidden gem, I really would like to give it five stars, but there were some details that I didn't expect to find in an exclusive hotel. But first the good things, most of the stars goes to their personnel, always kind and professional, then the place and views, and finally (and the most obvious), the possibility of having a private pool. Now, the missing star; given the prices, I expect perfection even in the little details. Some products in the minibar were not included in the prices list, and I had to call (to avoid surprises). There were some mosaics from the pool attached with silicone! I think those fixings need to be done correctly; in fact, some mosaics came off (never seen before). The privacy windows in the bathroom use a protective film instead of frosted glass; thus, some areas are starting to come off. It seems they changed the WC with a smaller one, so the floor looks awful (even if not, it seems like it wasn't clean). There was a leak in the water tap. We always asked for room service for all meals; breakfast was fantastic, dinner not that good, don't get wrong, it was tasty but with too much oil, even the pasta! Said this, besides the breakfast, the quality-to-price ratio is not good. I almost forgot that there was someone in the villa over the one I was staying, flying a drone!!! At some point, looking to us while swimming! I had to call security, and they told me it wasn't allowed; I expect the hotel to communicate this with anticipation. It was a very uncomfortable moment since I was paying for privacy. One last thing, I was travelling with a small dog, they gave us all the rules printed which we agreed. The hotel offered amenities for the dog (a couple of bowls and a bed); the bed wasn't clean with a lot of dog hair and some holes; I understand, we are talking about dogs, but I'm sure it is possible to remove hair completely, and at least try to fix the holes. It seems too many things, but again, are some minor details. I enjoyed my stay and will surely come back, mainly because of the service. Last pictures are about the issues, hope they help te property to identify them and fix them.

If you’re contemplating visiting Banyan Tree Cabo Marques, don’t wait any longer. Every part of this place is magical. Upon arrival you will be swept away with gorgeous views and serenity. We were offered a wonderful exotic cocktail upon arrival to welcome you to paradise. ❤️ But my reason for writing the review is mostly based on how passionate I am about the staff at Banyan Tree Cabo Marques. They treat you like family. They are so friendly and helpful, speak very good English if you need, and truly treat you like they care about you and your well being. I was sick one morning and couldn’t eat breakfast, and they called at lunch to offer me chicken soup (not even on the menu). They went to town for me to get supplies I needed at the last minute, and they asked about my well being every day after finding out I wasn’t well. The amazing staff in combination with the amazingly beautiful and incredibly clean accommodations, made a forever memory for one of the most memorable trips I have ever taken. I will going back to visit again before the year is over. I highly recommend coming to Acapulco, MX for this experience. I loved it.

I would describe this hotel as a hidden gem, quite literally. Located in the middle of the jungle, the hotel prides itself of its magnificent views as well as its desired location. The rooms are top of the line with all the amenities one might need. Inside your room you can find a small pool and lounge are for those who are in need of their privacy. The different locations around the hotel are beautiful and very well designed (gym, restaurants, pool, gift store). I loved staying at this hotel and I also want to thank the wonderful staff who were always so accommodating with our requests. Definitely coming back soon!

I had an extraordinary experience, riding the wave of pure enjoyment throughout. I want to wholeheartedly express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you, whether you were in the spotlight or working behind the scenes, for your gracious assistance and the warmth of your smiles. The dining experience was nothing short of memorable, and I savoured every bite of the exquisite local dishes expertly crafted by the chef. Just like in a movie, this marks the end of a truly wonderful time spent with all of you.

Banyan Tree Cabo Marques Hotel - The most beautiful hotel in Acapulco, trust me. Don't forget to visit both pools. The best views are from the rooms number 408, 409, 410 607, 606, 605, 604 named Ocean-Front Pool Villas. If you stay several days the hotel restaurants can become quite expensive so we recommend bringing some treats, drinks and snacks from the supermarket to enjoy in your villa and private pool. Also go out for dinner, in Acapulco you will find very good restaurants. I recommend you to take the Thai cousin class. It is a great experience and you will eat delicious food. This place is A MUST in Mexico!!! oct 2023

Employees and Service wonderful! The property nickel and dimes for everything. Buffet breakfast very much below average for a 5 star in terms of quality for Mexican food. Transportation to go anywhere off the property around $-$20-46 even to beach club next door is $15. Great for alone time and meditation 🧘‍♀️ The grounds are beautiful and the pool villas are the way to go and a good way to avoid the main pool on busy weekends.

Incredible experience from the moment of pick-up at the airport. Easy check-in process and a refreshing juice while you wait. Welcoming staff, golf cart rides around the property, 24 hour room service, spa, pools (private and public). Trust me, you will not regret staying at this resort. Anything you need is one phone call away. We celebrated a birthday while with them. Without prompting they sent a plate full of chocolate, macaroons and cake. We will definitely be back. Thank you!!

I can’t say enough about the Banyan Tree Cabo Marques. The service is absolutely incredible. I have stayed at Rosewoods, Four Season, and Aman hotels but nothing has matched the service I experienced at this hotel. The entire staff was so welcoming and personal. They were attentive to every request and by the end of a weeks stay, every member knew my name and preferences. Banyan tree Cabo Marques is the epitome of relaxation, rejuvenation, and a place to destress. The entire staff was phenomenal but Guillermo, Rogello, and Brenda made our stay incredibly special. 10/10 would recommend and I can not wait to be back.

Resort was beautiful and high end. The food at each restaurant was delicious especially saffron. The staff throughout the resort is overly nice and accommodating. The views were astonishing but be advised that you’re nestled right in the middle of the jungle. The mosquitoes were ruthless whereas we almost did not enjoy our private plunge pool as much as we would have liked. My fiancé proposed to me while we were there and we are planning to go back there and get married at the resort. The sunsets are amazing. I do not recommend bringing children there. This is definitely a place for adults to enjoy.

I've never experienced better service!! This place was impeccable from the second we arrived. We attended a wedding, and the Banyan Tree made this experience I will never forget. The carts were super quick when called. Room service was on point, and they always called before entering the unit, room were and amenities kept in immaculate conditions. They even steamed a dress shirt for me within 15 minutes, including pick up and drop off We had an amazing experience, and the bride and groom were grateful to have such an amazing experience

Gorgeous hotel. The service was fantastic. Great food and drinks, especially lunch at Las Rocas (loved the grilled octopus) and dinner at Saffron (Thai cuisine which additionally has amazing views and sunsets). The room was amazing! Great views of the bay and the ocean. Very cozy with all the necessary amenities. Nice private terrace with pool. Overall, it’s expensive but worth it for an upscale stay in Acapulco.

I did not stay at the resort. I spent the afternoon at the spa. What a great experience! There is no common area or at least that I experienced. Once checked in, they walked me through a jungle type atmosphere to the spa bungalow. It was beautiful and peaceful. The bungalow has a changing area with a safe, showers, and restroom. My service was the Sense of Place consisting of a Herbal Scrub, Bayan herbal pouch message, jazmin facial, and rode petal bath. My skin has never felt this soft between the scrub and oils they have really made a difference. The message was wonderful. I fell asleep multiple times. I would definitely go back. I recommend the message and scrub. I also swung by the gallery store they have some cute hats and great jewelry. Cons The facial was not what I was expecting it's not an American type of facial. This was more of cleansing the face. Once done, the provider tapped my forehead aggressively to indicate it was over. I was awake, so there was no need it wasn't pleasant. Pool music could be heard. There was some type of building going on. I heard someone cutting wood and the wood falling on concrete, but only once.

Staff was great, great views but we were bitten for the 6 days we were there, we initially thought it was mosquitoes, we kept wondering why the repellant wasn't working, only to establish it was some other insect in the sheets, all my back and legs have bites all over, itching like crazy. Not sure if this is the experience in all villas but they need to fumigate, may be bed bugs or fleas. We had to quarantine everything we brought back until it was cleaned so we do not transport it in our home. We informed the hotel/concierge but they ignored my messages. However, amazing views if you plan to go.

Best experience ever! Everything in this hotel it’s absolutely perfect, from the private well designed villas to the amenities, common areas, food and a 5 star service! The massage in the SPA was mind blowing, Brenda is super professional and has the best technique, will definitely come back soon.

I wish I could give 5 stars...Room AC will not go below 21 Celsius so over 50yrs women with hot flashes bring a fan or request one in the room. Lots of mosquitoes even thought the hotel sprays and provide OFF bug spray.Window shades in bathroom needed repair. I couldn't open so they open them and we could not closed them. Food was awesome and customer service was great, however they did not do turndown service the one and only time I called and asked. Had the 90 minutes spa massage and it was wonderful!! Really beautiful place for secluded private time.

This hotel is a true gem! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking ocean views. The rooms are spacious and elegantly decorated, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The hotel's beach services were outstanding, providing us with chairs, umbrellas, and even beachfront dining. The restaurant served delicious seafood, and I was impressed by the attentive staff. I'm already planning my next visit to this seaside paradise

Great views. Great rooms. Great staff. Great service. Great overall experience. Hope to return in the future. Restaurant and experiences are costly but splurge at least one day for the experience.

This is one of the most exciting hotels I've ever been to. They have the nicest people working here and the most incredible facilities. My favorite place was the pool with that incredible site. It's a must to visit!!!

Spectacular, excellent, amazing. Staying at the Bayan tree cabo marques feels like a sensual dream. The attention of the staff and amenities of the hotels are at a surreal level. All I can say that I do not want to wake from this beautiful dream.

Wonderful service, and amazing serene views of the ocean. Taking one star off because on the first night arrived (Saturday or Sunday, I forget) there was constant loud music and bass. I asked where the music was coming from and it took a couple different people to understand that there’s a nearby beach club that blasts music on the weekends. I heard the bass INSIDE my room until 4am the first day which was awful. They did comp us a room upgrade, and the rest of our stay was wonderful, and in line with the kind of service and experience I’d expect from Banyan Tree. Overall very wonderful and beautiful. Service is also top notch and very hospitable. They really go the extra mile :) Oh only other complaint is the scented toilet paper. It’s toxic for humans, and not to mention the environment. This surprised me and I hope they decide to opt for non scented in the future in all of their locations.

As often is the case, the people that work there make the stay wonderful, mediocre, or awful. The staff everywhere at the Banyon Tree is outstanding. As an example, the man that greeted us for breakfast was wonderful, he sat us, talked to us about food, and made breakfast recommendations: Chilaquiles with steak and green sauce, out of this world. The spa was wonderful; same kitchen as La Nao. The villas are well maintained, oh, the housekeeping staff is wonderful. You go to out of the unit and magically they come in to freshen the towels, make the bed, put things in order in the bathroom; they are 5 star people. What is more important in the stay, you need something, just dial zero, the ladies will have it to you quickly: a buggy ride, food, restaurant reservations, etc. We will return. Suggestions: the plunge pool was wonderful as the temperature at which you keep it is perfect, but the calcium from the hard water should be removed if possible and there are a few other minor physical blemishes that need touch up. The restaurant Saffron was very nice, the food is lovely, but the food could be raised a notch, we did not have anything we disliked but we did not have anything that was WOW! (I say this to help, certainly we would eat here again, it would get 4 stars.). The only negative experience we had was dinner at La Nao. We ordered the black bean soup, the duck confit appetizer, the octopus with lentil and the lobster. Everyone of these dishes were awful. I had a couple of spoons of the soup which looked like dirty dishwater, then put it aside. The duck confit just did not taste right. We are very sorry for this part of the review, we would eat breakfast there (same location as La Nao) every day of the week, but we will not return to La Nao for dinner. Bottom line, stay at this resort, it deserves the 5 stars, just skip La Nao. Enjoy Saffron and other nearby restaurants. Oh, by the way, the suburban transportation service available through the hotel gets 5 stars also. Safe drivers, comfortable car, and the drivers will often say: I will be there at the time you request, but if you need a little more time to enjoy your meal, relax, enjoy.

They took my car and gave to a guy that we didn’t know. Please avoids staying here. Food is horrible. NEVER plan a wedding here. Very expensive and horrible in all ways. Carlos who is the general manager in charge in the night deserves to give his last name. Also, they provide very poor attention to client. A room for 700 USD never compares to what you will receive.

  • 3/5 Lana P. 1 year ago on Google
Pros: 1: Staff is polite overall. 2:Very nice view. 3: The pool is clean and warm. 4:The food is good. 5:They drive you around in buggies so you don’t have to walk far. Cons: 1:There is ALOT of what looks like booklice. I could never enjoy my food in peace because those bugs where everywhere. Inside and outside. I wish they used some sort of spray to keep them away. 2: The mosquitoes are super aggressive. I hardly ever get bit by mosquitoes but in just 2 days I am covered in over 20+ bites. 3: If you order room service the food only gets picked up if you ask or when the cleaners comes by. There is raccoons and birds that will come and make a mess if you leave it out. 4: The beach is 15 min away from the resort. 5: My biggest issue is that I was charged more than I expected. They send you an email showing the charges for every night making you think that’s exactly how much you will be paying but then they charge you a high service and tax fee when you get there. Instead if paying 1500 like I thought I would be, I payed over 2k. Very slimy move. Lesson learned. If the hotel/resort isn’t charging right away for the room, but only when you get there, don’t go.

What an incredible place. The service was exceptional. The views are stunning. The spa is amazing. And the food is quite good. We only left the property once for dinner at a local restaurant. There are excursions you can book but we chose to just relax and take in the idyllic location. Most of the staff speak some English but the resort definitely is more geared toward Mexican tourists. Knowing at least a little Spanish is advisable.

I stayed at the Banyan Tree Cabo Marques with my husband, father and stepmother for seven nights. Everyone had a magnificent time. The grounds are beautiful, the views literally unparalleled and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. We spent most days by the pool and evenings at La Nao or Saffron, although we did take a boat tour one day which was incredible (the packed lunch from La Nao was amazing especially the ceviche). We have stayed at other Banyan Tree resorts but this one is extra special because of the incredible staff. Luis the manager and Manuel the chef came out and chatted with us a few times - Manuel is extremely talented and the food is incredible, the breakfast buffet was delicious and kept us full all day and dinners at La Nao were incredible. Rogelio at the pool was friendly and so helpful, we really loved talking with him and practicing our terrible Spanish with him - he was a kind and patient teacher and a highlight every day. Benjamin and Elizabeth the spa were so helpful and nice, and patient when plans changed. Cristina, Roberto, Ledice and Javier were super friendly and helpful at La Nao, and we took the tequila tasting with Guillermo which was so fun. Last but not least thank you Jose for planning the boat tour for us, it was incredible. And there are certainly people whose names we didn’t learn who also made the trip memorable. Thank you and we will return!

EVERYTHING was AMAZING at this resort, from start to finish! Blown away by the kindness and attention of the staff, the layout, appearance and overall experience of the hotel, the breathtaking villa we stayed in, the spectacular food we ate! We felt like we were on our own little secluded island! WORLD CLASS!

Where do I start. What a stunning hotel. Extremely elegant and clean. The service is the best I have ever seen. Especially from Elena B from the Wedding department. Dealing with her was so easy. She was so understanding, provided suggestions when needed and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The wedding venues at this location are out of this world. The restaurant Saffron has the most incredible views and the Thai cuisine was delicious. Highly recommend. Thank you Elena for your incredible service. We will be in touch once we return to Acapulco. We are very pleased.

Banyan Tree was absolutely amazing. Gorgeous hotel. Everything was exceptional. The employees and service are impeccable. The food is fantastic. There's a handful of people who made our stay even more amazing Crystal in housekeeping, Ulises waiter, Miguel the driver. David in concierge. Thanks for making our stay so great. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful hotel! I was amazed by the view it has from the very beginning! The service is excellent, the staff is very helpful and friendly! Little pool was such a joy, every little detail was beautiful! Would gladly stay there more! Thank you for making my birthday celebration at your hotel, special!

Our stay at Banyan tree was very disappointing. The staff was poorly trained , the food was below average and some off the staff made us feel like they didn’t care if we didn’t come back. We paid for the airport pick up one way and arranged with Marcela to send someone to come pick us up. No one showed up to pick us up and when I told the front desk agent; instead of just apologizing; he kept arguing that their driver did go and he had a photo to prove it. Anyway, to make it up to us, the Manager send someone the next day to decorate the room for my husbands birthday. However, the flower decor was misspelled and read, “happy irday troy” The service was very low for a “5 star hotel” The staff didn’t offered refreshment towels or a welcoming drink upon arrival, not even water. The front desk staff is very forgetful, Marcela forgot to make my husbands birthday reservation dinner, the servers don’t offer water for breakfast and they barely came around to see if you need something . The food is expensive and below average at best. It’s bland and flavorless. The restaurant saffron is absolutely beautiful and has the best view. The lychee martini is delicious but that’s about it. We ordered the steak which was super well done, though and dry. I had the seafood curry which made gave me a food born illness. For our departure, I had a personal Driver hired from outside the hotel. But the hotel staff wanted us to use their service so they put our luggage on their suburban without our permission and then lied saying suburban was from the same company as the driver I had hired so it was the same if we took that car. So I called my driver and was arriving in two minutes. I told manager I was not taking suburban because my driver was someone else. Manager said he had already charged us for the service?? He meant the round trip from a chauffeur that did not show up to airport? After that, he seem upset but said he will refund money for the service we didn’t receive. In conclusion, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, beautiful views, the room has amazing views, private pool, but service was missing and just for that I doubt ever coming back. Hope they work on training their staff and revamping the menu. Also , there were tiny little bugs in every superficie of the room.

My impromptu vacation to Banyan Tree Cabo Marques was nothing short of amazing! Every single person I encountered was helpful, kind, welcoming and 5 star service was given. My villa had a breath taking view and everything was extremely clean, fully functional and fit for a wonderful getaway. The food was beautifully plated and delicious to taste. The views from the pool at sunset are unmatched. Not to mention being given a dry towel as I stepped out of the pool. The employees here just think of everything they can to make visitors feel special. The spa is a must! It was 2.5 hours of pure magic for the body soul and mind! I will definitely return and I look forward to experiencing Banyan Tree locations all over! Thank you to all for your amazing service. Check in: Amelia Check out: Adrian La Nao: Ledis, Miguel, Guillermo Las Rocas: Hugo and Narcos Pool: Rogelio Spa: Elizabeth, Liz, Benjamin, Luis Carlos Roberto My sincere apologies to the other gentleman as they were all outstanding
