We
had
a
fantastic
trip
overall.
A
few
highlights
(positive
and
negative)
we’d
like
to
comment
on
include:
*
The
poolside
service
was
great
overall,
and
Angle
at
the
lower
two
pools
was
especially
exceptional.
He
was
kind,
attentive,
and
energetic.
Simply
the
best.
*
The
COVID
policy
adherence,
and
particularly
the
mask
wearing
at
the
resort,
was
impeccable,
and
as
the
partners
of
two
kids
too
young
to
be
vaccinated,
I
can’t
tell
you
how
much
we
appreciate
that.
For
the
entire
week
we
where
there,
I
can’t
think
of
a
single
time
where
for
a
single
second
we
saw
a
single
staff
member
not
properly
wearing
a
high
quality
mask,
and
that
is
incredible
(and
we’re
including
pool
staff,
restaurant
staff,
maids,
groundskeepers,
repair
crew,
etc.).
Well
done
making
your
guests
feel
comfortable.
*
The
Azul
service
could
have
been
better…we
absolutely
love
the
Azul
location
across
all
of
your
properties,
and
have
had
great
experiences
in
the
past,
but
this
time
we
had
to
ask
several
times
for
beverages,
high
chairs,
etc.
before
staff
would
prioritize
us
and
take
care
of
things,
and
it
was
not
due
to
excessive
volume.
It
felt
like
the
“B”
Team
at
Azul
on
many
occasions.
Everyone
was
nice
and
considerate,
but
not
particularly
attentively
and
the
same
could
be
said
of
the
restaurant
staff
at
the
all
of
the
restaurants.
Maybe
this
was
because
we
visited
during
a
slow
period
of
the
year,
but
we
still
expected
and
would
have
appreciated
more
attentive
service.

The
poolside
Ceviche
bar
was
a
really
nice
touch
and
we
were
thrilled
that
they
served
fresh
seafood,
including
local
oysters
caught
right
by
the
hotel.
One
day
they
said
the
day’s
catch
wasn’t
great,
so
they
didn’t
have
any
oysters,
and
we
actually
really
appreciated
that.
*
Moving
on
to
the
rooms
feedback,
the
rooms
are
a
bit
dark
and
we’d
appreciate
better
lighting
overall.
Which
light
switches
do
what
is
super
confusing.
*
The
mini
bar
was
inconsistently
restocked.
Someone
came
to
restock
it
everyday,
but
they
wouldn’t
always
restock
the
coffee
creamer,
for
example,
or
they
might
not
restock
the
red
wine.
It
was
just
inconsistent.
*
Room
service
was
good
overall,
as
was
the
cleaning
service.
*
The
Kids
Club
was
excellent,
in
particular
Karla
and
Eunice,
but
of
whom
took
exceptional
care
of
our
kids.
*
The
activity
programming
was
great
as
usual,
and
Carlos
and
Zaya
were
excellent.
They
made
sure
everyone
had
a
good
time
and
they
were
accessible,
fun,
inclusive,
and
thoughtful.
*
We
also
liked
that
sunscreen
was
readily
available
and
the
fresh
coconuts
were
a
really
nice
touch.
The
drink
service
in
general
was
excellent.
*
A
few
random
thoughts
to
wrap
up…the
fireplaces
for
the
casual
post-dinner
gatherings
were
really
nice,
and
we
appreciated
the
partly
covered
deck
space
by
the
middle
pool
with
the
floaties,
ping
pong,
and
kid
games.
Overall,
we
had
a
wonderful
trip.
It
delivered
on
the
Grand
Velas
promise,
and
we
look
forward
to
returning
again
at
some
point
in
the
future!
