The overall experience was great. The place is very clean, professional and Legitimate. It has been 6 months since my FUE surgery and I could not be happier with the results. Dr. Cortez is the best in the hair restoration game. I would highly recommend doing this is you are losing your hair. I Was almost completely balled and now I have a full head of hair. Changed my life for the better.

My husband had a wonderful experience at HMR almost 2 years ago. It was life changing. I can’t imagine how bald he would be right now without his hair transplant. We’re from California and we’re planning on making another trip back to Mexico in a couple of months for a 2nd transplant. The hair that was transplanted will stay forever but he’ll continue to lose his original hair on top, so he’s going back for more. There was no hesitation to see Dr. Cortez again. The driver who picked us up was very helpful and eased our anxiety immediately, the hotel was excellent, the clinic looked exactly like the one I went to In Beverly Hills for another procedure (not exaggerating) and I always felt safe in that area of Tijuana. Overall I highly recommend HMR not just for their affordable prices.

I am 7 months post op and am very unhappy with the results. I went to HMR trusting the overwhelmingly positive YouTube reviews. Big mistake. The doctor’s artistry in my hairline is a disaster. He placed 2 follicle grafts in the very front of my hairline, gave me a crooked hairline, and implanted hairs in bad angles. If other patients are happy with their results from this Dr., they have very poor taste. Its going to cost more to have this hairline repaired in the states. IF it can be fixed, don’t trust the youtube reviews!

Honest and simple review: Pros: I like that I have more hair, it is noticeably better than what it looked like before. Great facility, friendly and well educated staff. Overall good experience as all questions were answered. Cons: Density is not what I expected (to be fair, it was my first hair transplant and each individual has different factors involved). When he was implanting my hairs he kept complaining that I have a "dense cranium". He put a lot of pressure to fit in the grafts and I do honestly believe that affected my yield (maybe it's my fault lol). Although my hairline looks pretty natural, he gave me this comb over look where my bangs only look good when I comb it to the side. It is a bit frustrating at times, although I do like my hair most of the time. That is why I can't give this a perfect score nor a bad score.

After many hours of research, reviews, ratings, and browsing through hair restoration forums, I ended up choosing this place as my surgery center. I reached out via email for a consultation. I told them all my concerns, showed them pictures from different angles of my head, and outcomes I hoped to achieve, and got a quick response (about a day) They told me about how many grafts I would need (2500 grafts. This is important later in the review), price, and concerns THEY have. After that, I set up an appointment. (They are extremely popular, so they are booked a few months in advance.) You have to pay for your own flight, but everything else in their quote is included. (This is transportation - from and to the airport, the hotel for 2 nights, food they provide, medication/prescription, and the surgery of course.) The hotel is about a 3-5 minute walk, depending on how fast you walk. The area they were in didn't seem sketchy in any way, so don't feel nervous about that! From the time of picking me up from the airport all the way to dropping me back off, they were professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and overall nurturing. Making you sure were comfortable. If they are not comfortable with some aspects of your hair/hairline they will let you know. And advise you why they think the way they do. Back to the graft part, they only charge by how many grafts they use. During the consultation, they said I would need about 2500 grafts, but during the surgery, they only used roughly 2300. So they only charged me for 2300. They could have easily charged me for 2500 grafts. There would be no way of me proving that, and I would have gone with it anyway. But they didn't! Top of line. Easy transportation from San Diego . Hotel is close to clinic. Most of all the clinic is very modern and clean, The doctors are very professional and truly artist at there crafts. I doubt you could a better clinic in the U.S. I Have had a two procedures done and it changed my outlook on life. Being bald is a thing past

My actual rating is about 4.5 for Dr.Cortez. I did a surgery in October 2019, and I am going to be absolutely honest about my review. I am somehow a perfectionist, and I so far would given an absolute 5 stars to someone like Dr.Couto in Spain. In my opinion, Dr. Cortez stands better than 90 percent of the work I have seen . First of all: Dr. Cortez and his brother are amazing nice people. The last thing they talk about is money. In fact, they charged me all the way after the surgery was done! I still owe them 60$ for my last PRP before COVID-19, as my card didn’t go through in Mexico. They never asked me to write a review, they followed up with me until the 9th month, I will most definitely be going to do a second procedure with them. Here are some of the Pros and Cons of their work based on my own opinion: Pros: -they do the best job in the world in extracting the doner area. No visible scars at all after 2600 grafts, even with a number 1 buzz cut. - Dr. Cortez does a great job measuring the exact length, that your forehead should be, to design the hairline. -the direction of implanted hair are awesome. They know what the exact hair angles should be in different areas. - they do a pretty clean job. There are usually no blood clots on the doner and recipient area after the procedure is done. Here are the Cons, or I must say “not so Pros”: -I am not very impressed by the naturalness of my hairline. Each surgeon has their own way of frontal hair design, and Dr. Cortez seems to have it very straight. I know a lot of people like that too, but I specifically asked him to do a more zigzag like (with maybe a widow’s peak) on my hairline. However, he preferred to go his way. Also, there are some doubles in my frontline. The combination of the two, makes my hairline detectable, almost by all people who see me after a while 😊 -I’m not very happy with my density. I know good density cannot be made in only one procedure. However, more dense packing could probably be done. Conclusion: I’m overall satisfied with my procedure. Make sure to write down all your expectations and discuss with him before the procedure. Cheers

I have had 3 FUT and 1 SMP in Los Ángeles, I have experience with these operations and without a shadow of a doubt Dr. Cortez is the best. First off, the nurses make you feel welcomed and comfortable. They’re very knowledgeable. They answered all the weird questions that I had. I say weird because I have experience with these operations, so I asked very specific ones. They are very kind with the local anesthetics. They start really slow so the pain is really minimal and as the numbing starts, they go a little bit harder until you cannot feel anything which made the numbing process extremely pleasant. unlike at Bosley where they just hit you with a full dose right away and it’s extremely painful. they give you some medication so you can fall asleep and trust me you will sleep for about 80 to 90% of the operation. The doctor is extremely knowledgeable and is very careful and how he displaces the graphs. He takes his time with each and everyone of them to make sure that they have been inserted correctly, and in a good spot. this makes operation a little bit longer, but better results for sure. you will not feel a spec of pain throughout the entire process. It becomes more of a waiting game, then enduring anything. After the operation they give you every single thing that you can possibly need for healing from medication to sprays that relieve itching and burning to even pillowcase covers. When I say, this is the most pleasant experience for an operation, I truly mean it. I would recommend Dr. Cortez to my own mother if she were to need it but she’s been blessed with beautiful hair. 100000/10

After considering multiple Fue doctors within Mexico I decided to move forward with hair medical restoration. I noticed many positive reviews on YouTube and I was excited to get the process started. I was unable to get any feedback via email, Facebook, or through their website portal where I shared images. I followed up multiple times over a period of one month from April to May, but never received feedback on if I was a candidate or not.

Dr Cortez is a genius and phenomenal surgeon. I went from a bald guy to a hairy beast! Had the best experience. He was very professional, kind, gentle and didn’t mind that I had to urinate every 12 minutes during the procedure. My hair looks phenomenal and natural and I recommend him to every baldy I know.

This place is top notch. Very professional. Very clean. Their processes are very well defined, outlined and communicated very clearly. Dr. Jorge and his team are amazing in every way. I was very nervous once everything started but immediately felt at ease after seeing everyone complete their tasks.

I just had my HT at HMR in Tijuana yesterday. I got 2700 transferred. Honestly the whole procedure was very easy. I live on the east coast - getting down to TJ was a piece of cake. The hotel is right beside the HMR office. There was a couple of good restaurants nearby. The operation was no trouble at all. Around hours. The staff and the doctors were fantastic, friendly, professional and explained all my questions. It’s only been a day and now I’m flying back east but the operation, pain , swelling,etc is no trouble. Compared to the USA , the prices are much more reasonable. HMR is absolutely incredible. I’ve been here twice. They recommend good hairlines and realistic ones. My donor area was left unnoticeable after the surgery. Dr. Cortez is a protectionist and did not disappoint. I highly recommend these guys.

Eventually I got a hold of their email where they sent me more information that I needed & Karen was also part of the great customer service. I also would like to thank Doctor Jorge Guerrero for being professional from beginning to end. I was a bit worried at first because I was expecting a different doctor & Doctor Jorge Guerrero seem too young but he seemed like he knew exactly what he was doing the whole time & kept me calm & well informed through out the process, I asked him a lot of questions & he answered them all. Thank goodness oí Doctor Jorge Guerrro, I was also very pleased with Josselyn Cynthia, Oscar & Rafa they were all very nice & all head great customer service, it was a nice experience. Their facility also has personal staff for Botox & the gentlemen that gave me a brief presentation was also nice. That you all for your hard work & for allowing me to play some reggaetón songs during the surgery, I definitely felt at home!! Had over 2000 hair grafts, let me tell you that this is one the best places in Tijuana, nurses and doctors are very knowledgeable, they do amazing work, they are gentle when it comes to injections in the donor area. Had 3000 grafts FUE, covered even more than I thought they would be able to. About 1/3rd of the cost of the same procedure in the U.S. Particularly appreciating the density on the front, and managing to harvest a few extra hundred grafts for my tricky crown area. Modern and clean new offices, good pre/post instructions, and Dr.Cortez is one of the most acclaimed in the region. Several other experienced doctors on hand, with great attitudes, helping with the procedure and answering questions. Quote included complimentary transportation from SAN with a helpful and informed driver (answered a few questions), and a good hotel nearby. Will keep the review updated as these hairs grow -

The staff here are friendly and superb. Met with Dr.Guerrero the day of my procedure, got all questions answered and moved forward on designing the beard layout. After all of that was completed, my hair was shaven off and given medication to become relaxed through the procedure. After everything was ready, I laid on the bed and got several s Injections for the anesthesia to kick in. Overall procedure was about 6 hours but with little to no pain. The nurses helping the surgeon were very friendly and keeping conversation going to make time go by. Paola was another individual who was great to interact with, she was able to help me schedule my procedure and would always reply back to any questions I had. This location offers transportation from and to the airport if you visit out of country along with hotel lodging. What more could you ask. Highly recommend.

Horrible results & doctors! 2 years after my hair transplant & I see absolutely no results! I have been trying to contact the doctors for the past 2 years but they refuse to respond to my emails or calls! I definitely would NOT recommend this clinic.

My experience with HMR is it seems they focus on winning one customer at a time with honesty and sincerity by doing what’s right. Theirs nothing magical about this, this is their guiding principle to make it work living it every day, it is their mindset. They made me feel important by treating me accordingly and thats something I’ll never forget. Feeling like a valued part of their company either while being at the clinic to all outside hotel accommodations made me feel like a hero. I insist that people who are in need of an FUE procedure either to fix or a first time procedure to give it a try it will be an experience worth talking about! All these overpriced and overly conservative in state hair mill clinics must be stopped, speaking from experience🚫 🤬🥴

Some nice staff and facility. Not necessarily the nicest part of town if you're from the US but it's safe overall. They definitely overstate the number of grafts by a pretty large amount and accordingly way overcharge. Did not give me the hairline I wanted. The doctor and techs including Cortez are all unfriendly. The only reason that I'm giving three stars is that the transplantation seems to have been performed well. Will update in a few months if results are poor and decrease his star rating. Actually many more problems with this place but I won't get into all of them. Much better off heading to Turkey where you will pay half the price even including flights from the US.

I have been here for 3 hair transplants and have had a great experience every time. Team is well coordinated and makes you feel right at home. HMR was referred to me by a friend in Florida. From the moment I contacted them Dr Cortez and team were consistently promo and courteous. They coordinated my ride from the airport , my hotel stay and well as my return travels to the airport. My flight was canceled the day before surgery due to a hurricane but they were able to quickly reschedule everything. I was always kept abreast of next steps and they made sure to inquire if I had questions and felt comfortable. The facility was clean and professional. The procedure was exactly as described and I am happy with the results thus far. I highly recommend!

I went to one of the big companies in the US for an FUE procedure about seven years ago and they were okay, but the value and level of care at HMR was much better and thorough. I was really reluctant to go to Mexico for anything. I did a lot of research and post-Covid I felt confident enough after what I saw online to go to Hair Medical Restoration. 1 year after my procedure I could not be happier. I had two previous hair transplants in the days of taking a big chunk of scalp out and cutting into small parts and then having punches of the scalp made to implant them. That procedure could not be done in a tight pattern and after 20 years or so I had lost much of my natural hair around the moved hair - not a good look. I also had large scars from the prevous procedures that went across the back of my head. I was losing hair on the back top of my head as well. I did not realize that until I shot my self directing an orchestra for a music video (see photo). This is surgery, you do need to follow directions and be careful folllowing the procedure. The more you are careful especially the first few weeks after the procedure, the better your outcome will be. Everything about how this place operates is top level. I would recommend a nasal spray decongestent as you spend a lot of time face down and my sinuses did swell and run a bit, making it hard to breathe through my nose. Dr. Cortez was like an ironman. He barely took a break for a lunch and that was only about 20 minutes. From 8 am til about 6 pm he was on the job moving thousands of hairs. The lunch was delicious. I made them wait 5 extra minutes so I could finish it. The hotel was gorgeous, the driver who met me in San Diego was so friendly and sweet, I kept his number for any future jaunts across the border. A year later I coud not be happier. I took Dr Cortez's advice and got PRP injections on my scalp every two months after the procedure. Even though I am 65 years old, the new hair came in dark brown. It looks so good I have a flat top haircut, something I wouldn't have dared to do before.

Procedure went as good as possible. I was picked up at the San Diego airport. Hotel was nice and clean. On the day of the procedure, everyone was extremely helpful. Worked with me to figure out an appropriate hairline. Procedure was smooth. Honestly no complaints.

Everything was really smooth and the staff was very helpful in accommodating the hotel and any transportation as well. They were clear with instructions and what was going on. The procedure was easier and less painful than I would have thought. Really felt taken care of at HMR!

I had 1100 grafts transplanted to increase hairline density and fill in the corners.Only 7 days post op and I am aleady happy with the overall improvement to my hairline! The fue procedure was quick and no pain during or after procedure. I am from the States and this was my first time in Mexico. I had a great time in Tijuana.
