Cola de Caballo is a nice waterfall. Access is easier and anyone can go. It is only 600 m far from parking area. Lot of nature and landscape. If you have family, it is a perfect place to enjoy with them. Take your time to have lunch in the hotel's restaurant with a nice valley view.

This place is completely Amazing! There is a small fee to enter but well worth it. There is a restaurant as soon as you enter, which we unfortunately did not stop at, but we'll leave that for the next visit. As we walked up the path surrounded by nature at it's best, we came across several horse drawn carriages that could take you up for a small fee. Half of our group decided to try it out since our 91yr old grandmother was with us. The ride was very fun and my daughter was in love with the horse 🥰. When we got to the base of the hill you see the smaller streams and steps leading up to the waterfall, yes you have to climb stairs, which my grandmother handled quite well, so you should be fine. There were lots of gorgeous backdrops for everyone's selfies. As we met back with our group and made our way up, there were several little artisan vendors selling all kinds of keepsakes and gifts. We even came across a zipline adventure. Once at the top the scenery was breathtaking! I'm not sure whether my chills were from the surroundings or the light mist that was spraying from the waterfall 😏. My daughter decided to try out the zipline on the way down which she thought was extremely cool! I'm glad our family came out, all four generations, and experience this together!

Very unique nature visit just outside Monterrey. Near “Pueblo mágico” Santiago. Use the public parking. Parking along road will get you a ticket with police, especially if you are not near by. Beautiful scenery de lo cerró de las madres mountains. Steep paths down if you are trying to walk in via the forest off road.

Amazing experience loved hiking there. It's a lot of walking so bring some comfortable hiking shoes. Try one of the cheladas Sol, while you're at it. You can get them at one of the little shops that are along the way. There are available horse buggies if your not the walking type. There are also trails outside of this place higher up. It is very nice but very grueling if your not in shape.

The earlier you come the better as it is not crowed. Lots of trees and stroller friendly, so it is a very nice hike of around 1km. The one way pony ride to/from the water fall for kids is around $2.50USD and there are family rides as well but not sure about the price. There are benches and grills throughout the hike at the side of the water stream, so you can stay for long. As always there are souvenir shops and traditional mexican candies there. Entrance fee is inexpensive as well. $2.50 per adult, $1.50 per kid (give or take depending on exchange rate)

Preamble to visit Nuevo Leon's Cola de Caballo. A beautiful waterfall that gives you a great experience in nature. Good spot for an ecotourism experience.

Great for family, safe. If you want more of outdoors aventure for adults, try Matacanes. La Cola de Caballo is a park with several waterfalls, grilling areas, and it has a nice hotel with nice restaurant and specially amazing views.

Worth the drive! The Super Roller Zip Line was only $600 pesos and lots of fun. I got a custom souvenir for my mom as well. Wonderful experience.

Great natural wonder. I loved our visit. The park is well organized. There are vendors in certain areas but not push or in the way. Vendors have something for everyone. From the smallest person to the oldest person vendors have it covered. Souvenirs are also available. This park is clean and the views are spectacular. Water is pristine.
