Beware: doctors here misdiagnosed my daughter with a severe infection and pumped her full of antibiotics and unproven drugs. These doctors here have a profit motivation to hospitalize patients. We were scared into following their 'protocol' which turned up nothing. We sought a second opinion from another doctor who verified that there was nothing in the X-ray and other tests to warrant hospitalization. Upon returning to the U.S., our family doctor immediately determined that it was a virus which a blood test verified in 15 minutes. The only recommendation was rest. Doctors did not scrub in and scrub out as the came and left the room as is accepted protocol in most modern medical facilities. The nursing staff were very good. Next time will try Sharp Medical Center.

Terrible service, they don't have rooms, they keep you in the operating room for more than 6 hours waiting to see if there is one available, they throw in the ball that if the doctor misguides you, the hospital doesn't have more capacity, the truth is terrible, but terrible service

I broke a leg at a nearby resort in October and needed immediate surgery. The emergency room doctor was wonderful, treating me with care and compassion. The orthopedic surgeon, anesthesiologist and other medical staff were equally caring and provided excellent surgical care. The nursing staff took great care of me for several days that were necessary. I cannot say more how excellent the care at this hospital was.

Exceptional care from all the staff, nurses and doctors. Most of the staff speak very good English making it easy for an American to get excellent medical services here. Thanks to Dr. Quevedo & Dr. Madrid Beltran for the excellent treatment I received at the hospital.

We were staying in Mazatlan last year, and on Feb 1St my wife had a stroke, we got her to the hospital and they got right on it, she had the best care, we had air ambulance insurance, and they helped us out there, they were great, we cannot say enough. The food was great, and the care was exeptional.

PLEASE NOTE: This hospital was horrific for two reasons. The first was that when I got home, the ankle surgery had to be redone. The x-rays showed how wrong the Mexican surgeon performed the surgery. Second is their billing practices. They would never come to speak to me why they denied my travel health insurance company. On the second last day (six days in hospital), they showed me my billing of 181,000 pesos. But on discharge day they presented me another billing for 141,000 pesos which I could not pay which made for an afternoon of them badgering me. Do not go to this hospital

IMO the best hospital in Mazatlan with great doctors and excellent care. They have an experienced insurance staff that deals with NOB insurance companies. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Wife had stomach troubles while traveling from the US. While it is unfortunate to have to write this review, I feel we were very fortunate to have chosen Hospital Marina Mazatlan. We went to the ER and was immediately seen by a staff that was very proficient in English. There were a few moments that required Google translate, but for the most part we were able to communicate effectively. The treatment was quick and efficient and very professional. We primarily dealt with one nurse and 2 doctors. They ask before they do anything as you are being charged on a item by item basis. Certainly added quite a bit of cost to our vacation, but by US standards the prices were very reasonable. No deposit taken up front, we were given an itemized bill and paid upon exit. Our credit card was accepted. While the event was unfortunate we feel very good about the level of care that was received.

This was our second experience as an inpatient at Hospital Marina. The care was great. The room was modern and comfortable. And the staff was more responsive than in any hospital in the US

We came here for a second opinion (my daughter had a likely infected dog bite with puncture wound to her face). Very glad we did. Dr. Alcaraz Rendón was very friendly and professional. He also gave us a number to call if our daughter does not respond to the antibiotics he prescribed. Rates for physician consult were well priced and We were in to see the physician immediately. Would definitely come again, and we recommend to other tourists.

On January 30th, to reach the new year, I was admitted to the La Marina Hospital, and a wonderful team of Drs treated me. I stayed and spent the new year there, the nurses were very patient, with a very friendly attitude, the food was varied and my thanks! For all! I recommend them. I am very happy with the restaurant's menu, good and cheap.
