We went there to be seated neat the sea and that was the only good thing about the restaurant. The view is one of a kind but to be paying $100+ per person (just a main course and one glass of wine) this place was ridiculous on how average the food was. The fries were extremely greese, almost to the point of not consuming. The meat was fine but it was too ground paper heavy. Overall I feel robbed, paid 210$ for a meal that could be eaten on a place with the half of the price. The service was good. Our waiter brought us a birthday cake. The cake stole the show, a weird thing to be saying on a steakhouse 🧐

This is a nice place with a great view! Perfect for a date night. To start, the bread here is amazing because of how soft it is and of course, freshly baked. To start, we had the burrata which was delicious. It tastes so fresh and paired with the balsamic glaze, tastes delicious. As our main course we ordered the dry aged porterhouse for 2. I will say the steak was good, but not the best. I was a bit disappointed in that as I have been to some of the top steakhouses and I really thought this was going to top those. Overall, it was good but for the price I expected much better. Also, Cooper was our waiter. He is the best and I highly recommend asking for him.

Fantastic location, excellent food, service was good, but our plates were left on the table a bit long and we eventually had to ask to have them cleared. Place was very busy and noisy, but generally great atmosphere. A little pricey, but worth it for the location and quality of the food.

Went here for a moment, my birthday. The tomahawk steak with prepared medium with bland flavor. The next day leftovers tasted better. The food came out too quick so maybe if they cooked that steak better the flavor would have been more profound. The cut of steak was well worth the$$$ and you got a lot. I added Oscar style and that was flavorful. The sides were average. The creme brulee was the vibe rich and creamy. The views are awesome here. I've had better steak at other Smith and Wollensky locations so I think because it was later in the day the chef missed the mark.

If you like a nice steak 🥩 and a great water view, this is a good place to go. I had the New York Strip 18 Oz, my wife had the Seared Tuna, and we shared a side order of Truffle Mac & Cheese. My steak was perfectly cooked, exactly the term I requested. Our waitress was excellent! 5-stars for her! (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name). Some tips to make sure you get the 5-star experience: - Make a reservation to get an outdoor table, we didn’t have reservations and had to seat in the bar area. The water view is an important part of the value of this place. - Use the valet parking or make proper arrangements to avoid spending so much time trying to park your car. - If you’re searching for a non-beef menu, probably this is not the best place. - Be prepared to find a menu full of pricey options, including a $250 wagyu steak. Chose wisely ;-)

Now that was a great lunch! We arrived without a reservation. Because it was busy we needed to wait a bit for a table to become available. That was not a problem as the bar is nice as well. The table we received had an amazing view. The food was great and the scallops with bone marrow was memorable. Service was also nice and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend this place

Fantastic surf and turf. The steak was perfectly cooked with a nice outer crust except for the ends, which were overdone. Drinks were delicious. But service was slow. I really appreciate the host getting us a table by the water in the shade. It was fun watching the massive cruise ships pass by.

This is by far our family’s favorite Steakhouse in Miami. At the entrance you will be greeted by Susana, the best hostess period. I would recommend you ask for Gerri as your server . She is a sweetheart and extremely professional. Her attention to detail, whatever she recommends you should get… well honestly all the dishes there are delicious. After you are done eating you can’t leave without passing by the bar and getting a drink from our boy Will. Will is the man! Overall you will never be disappointed if you go to Smith and Wollensky.

Had an excellent time for a birthday dinner. Tim and Natalia were very attentive and amazing in every way. Food was very good and portion sizes were large. Loved the dry age porterhouse steak and the angry shrimp. I would go again!

Excellent steaks and seafood, with a great view and excellent 5-star service. Service charge not included, which is rare now in South Beach, so make sure you tip because they give great service here.

The day before yesterday we celebrated our marriage in this restaurant. We had a wonderful lunch with close friends. A restaurant with a beautiful view of the water and excellent food and service. I really like the elegant settings. It was a very important day for us and I was glad to celebrate it in this place. Me and my husband left with pleasant and lovely memories of this day and place. It was such a wonderful experience and definitely will come back sometime soon. Highly recommend it if you want to have a great time and outstanding food with a beautiful view then you are on the right place.💗

Food was good although my first steak came over cooked. The quickly replaced it. Expensive place as you pay for the view … $68 for a 10oz filet and there is no smaller cut

our food was delicious, customer service was great, and a beautiful view on the water (we got to hang out with a little stray cat)! only downside was we were getting bitten a lot by mosquitos and noseeums while seated outside, but that isn’t the restaurants fault. would return! the cookie piece on top of the coconut cake was ADDICTING!! so good

Our first time in Miami and we wanted to be near a place where we are near the water and can catch sunset. This place was hopping when we got there and fortunately we had a reservation so we were seated quickly. However it took a while for us to be served and our food to arrive. We ordered the ribeye au poivre and it was significantly less tender than we expected which was a bit of a disappointment. The brussel sprouts were excellent though. Our seafood tower for 2 was amazing and great price point actually compare to some of the other items. Would highly recommend.

First off focus on some sides. The truffle Mac and cheese was probably the best tasting item i tried there. Friends ordered the tomahawk which was torched at the table to finish off with fat dripping onto potatoes which was cool. It was ordered well done and the steak was still good. My ribeye steak order got messed up so I think it got reheated "cooked" more so it was definitely not med rare anymore. I took a couple bites and gave it away. Was really expecting better for the price of the steak, they did compliment this part which was appreciated. The side of scallops and bone marrow was very odd, scallops where more on the fishy side and the I dug into the bone it rested on which I probably shouldn't have.

It is always a great experience at Smith & Wollensky! We love the view, the food and the excellent service. Ask for the bartender Frenchy! She’ll make you the best cocktails!! From the valet, to the hostess, to the waiter, to the bartender and manager, this place is on point!! Came with family but also business meetings, and I highly recommend this restaurant for all occasions.

Interior of the restaraunt is oddly decorated and is pretty dark towards the evening, not enough lighting. First time we came here, the steak was really tough despite ordering medium. Second time we came here, waitress took unfinished food without hesitation, poor water service, seemed rushed, then explicitly told us to tip over 20%. It's a place that tries to mix steakhouse with formal dining together and doesn't hit the mark on either, certainly has formal dining pricing though. The food is mediocre and the drinks are watered down. The scenery is nice, but that comes with the park that it's situated in the middle of? Not coming again.

If you want to spend your time at beautiful place- come on in! Service was just amazing and super friendly! Loved it! But there is one "but". If you are looking for great food- this is not the place to get it. Food was okay, but that is not what you expecting from this place with that prices.

The food was good. The service wasn’t though considering how much you’re paying. I didn’t catch our hosts name but he was welcoming and awesome. The woman that’s in my video that was helping our server was amazingly kind as well. Both of their kindness and service is the only reason I didn’t give this place less stars. Our server Laura was rather aloof and missing quite a bit. The bartenders messed up my wife’s drink three times as well. At one point I left the table to alert them of the simple mistake because I knew our server wouldn’t be around again for a while. I’m just used to the exceptional service at a Papi’s, Bern’s and even the chains. This wasn’t that.

When we came here we brought our own wine however this restaurant doesn’t allow that at all. So we were offered the wine menu and when we found a good wine and tried to order it, they didn’t have it. What we didn’t know was that this was the start to a bad afternoon. The appetizers were the best part. There are no complains about that. However, when our entrees came they came completely raw. My wife asked for medium well and got medium rare. My sons steak was also medium rare on the inside but burnt on the outside. My wife returned her steak because it was much too raw and when they finally brought it back it was cooked well done. Complete disaster. Thankfully the service was great. However for how expensive this restaurant is, it doesn’t make sense for all of the dishes to come cooked incorrectly

The steak is like candy. The sides are the icing on top of the cake. The seafood is to be reckoned with. Coming from New York and absolutely adoring their original steak house. The Miami one is just as great. One of my top restaurants worldwide. Highly recommend!

Memorable birthday dinner! Great view, wonderful service and good food. Everyone from hostess to servers were very pleasant and helpful. We were seated at the last table outside with a high chair ( babies first dinner experience) and had memorable birthday dinner. The view was spectacularly with many ships passing by. Food and drinks exceeded our expectations. The server was very friendly and helpful. Definetly coming back!

Great location, with dining options both outdoor and inside the huge restaurant. We elected to sit at the bar since we love to co-mingle with other patrons and the bar team. Been twice on this visit and both times the lovely Claudia has been welcoming and remembered my wife’s particular way of having her G&T served. Also recalled the exact beer I had. We opted for two of their salads for lunch and they were both delicious and well portioned. Will aim for a steak dinner the next time. Oh, and Claudia recommended the gin in the photo….wow! We’ll be looking for it to take back home.

It’s situated at the southern point of the beach. Restaurant is big inside, but we came here for outdoor seating along the water. Had to wait for 15 mins (had an booking), which was not too much of a trouble. People there were very helpful and caring. We took few appetisers and drinks. Everything was yummy and the views were even better. A cruise ship past by, that was added fun!

Worth the price every time. I definitely recommend the tomahawk. It’s melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The service is always amazing, food and drinks on-point and a beautiful, romantic feel.

I have to confess that The last 2 times I went here was strictly for their coconut cake. But from previous times I ate here it was always a great experience, expect great service, amazing menu especially If you are a steak lover you have plenty to choose from. Service, food and ambience are above expectations.

The place is really nice. Hubby took me here for Valentines day. The waiter took a while to tend to us but overall okay. The food was so rich, saucy and buttery my stomach couldn't handle it. After we left we had to pull over so I can vomit right before the highway. I brought everything up. It was too oily. Hubby was ok. My favorite was the appetizer shrimp & the ccomplimentary bread.

The staff was so great and accommodate and fairly big group during our AAO event. The views, drinks and food were unmatched. Highly recommend this place! We even got to see some cruise ships go by! Awesome experience!

This place is a classic and the food is amazing. That’s why it’s disappointing that the service is sad. They try to upsell you on EVERYTHING. We had a couple join a table and they said they only had sparkling…and the waiter came and he asked if we wanted flat water. I don’t appreciate people trying to get to me and oversell me. This place is great for the food. All else needs work. Some staff members are awesome. Others make you feel unwelcome and not right.
