I recently stayed at the Riviera and I was very surprised at the great value for the price! The room was nice and clean, with a good amount of space. The shower was super pretty and water gets super hot! The rooms have a mini bar and fridge with items for purchase, that can be taken out of your deposit. The staff at the front desk and management really go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Gabriella, Mark, Daniel, and Hugo were a couple of amazing staff members that went and above for my party during our stay. I witnessed housekeeping services cleaning not just in the morning but all throughout the day and night. Constantly vacuuming, mopping, and wiping down surfaces. This property also has a restaurant and bar on site with a great 2 for 1 Happy Hour! They also have a rooftop and bamboo pool. The only down side of this property is that there’s no parking! So it’s kind of pain to have to park and walk. Other than that I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful property for a decent price!

I did a lot of research prior to coming to Miami Beach and was extremely hopeful that this would be a nice place. I saw multiple reviews stating how nice the place was. Unfortunately, my experience was not so. Room Issues: The room had multiple issues. It appears they "upgraded" me from a queen size bedroom to a king room. This room was definitely not an upgrade. First, there was a clear smell of mold and mildew when you enter the room and there were clearly black mold spots on the ceiling of the room. Secondly, the "on" button for the remote to the television didn't work so we had to get out of bed to turn it on or off. Lastly, the shower head in the shower leaked constantly and could be heard throughout the night. Over hotel Issues: the rooftop pool appears a lot nicer in the images than it actually is in person, while it is nice to have the sunshine throughout the day all the daybeds and lounge chairs are dirty and dated. The other ground level heated pool was mainly in the shade throughout the day. While the daybeds were more modern here, the pool is extremely small. Positives: The restaurant was awesome. The service was amazing and the food was great. Additionally the decor was super cool. We really enjoyed the live music at night. The staff at the front desk were also awesome. They were super welcoming and very attentive to guest. The main lobby also smells wonderful. Overall will probably not return to this hotel. It is not worth the price. I was sold on the two pools but after experiencing the room and the overall hotel I will not pay those prices again.

Horrible Hotel. I'm shocked that this is even considered a 4 star hotel. It is not a hotel, it is a hostel. The first problem my friends and I encountered was a drunk security guard in our building that kept cat calling at us. We notified the front desk several times that night but nothing was done. Why didn't they just throw him out? He was more of a danger to the guests than the people minding their business on the streets! The second problem was when I unfolded the sofa bed, there were dirty sheets and blankets. It seems like they never cleaned up before we checked into our room. The third problem was finding a cockroach in the room. I don't even need to explain. If there is one cockroach, then there is probably an entire family living at this hotel. I could go on and on about all the atrocities at this place. Please do yourself a favor and never stay here. It is in a great location but don't sacrifice your health and well being while in Miami. Don't be fooled by the 5 star google reviews...the front desk asks you to write a good review at check in so that they upgrade you to a nicer room.

My husband and I are seniors who have never been to Florida before. We checked in to this hotel and all the staff were so wonderful and helpful. They ensured we were happy with our room and had everything we needed and ensured to frequently check on us to meet any needs. They looked up restaurants based on our preferences and even arranged for transportation as my husband and I were not familiar with the area and given our age and health are not able to walk. The manager personally ensured we were getting the best service. I cannot thank the staff (Bessy, Gaby, Adarsh, Hugo, Andrea) enough for their care and consideration and for making our stay a memorable one. Hope to visit again soon!

Everything from the property, the location and the service blew me away! I have nothing but amazing things to say! Definitely recommending this place to everyone I know!! I found Riviera Suites through a horrendous experience at a different hotel nearby. They both are under the same ownership umbrella. Riviera was able to absorb all 3 of my family's reservations. The manager, Mark Kelley as well as his partner/ assistant (didn't catch her name) were absolutely stupendous! After our previous encounter with the initial hotel, we felt such a sense of comfort and hospitality; there aren't enough words to describe the sense of relief I felt upon our arrival at Riviera! The Rooms? Amazing! Property? Clean and safe! Buildings have individual passcodes to get in. Staff? Consistently kind and hospitable! Location? So conveniently located just 2 blocks away from the beach. Its across the street from a night club open til 5am. And there is a deli right across from the night club that has the best Bodega feel! Wonderful Dominican cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner! It'll be the most flavorful food at the most affordable price in all of Miami beach! Mas Cuba is a bar/grill right on the property with great food and drinks! Definitely staying here again! 10/10

Arrived to the hotel and was meet by a smile and perfect service straight away. Workers that made sure they could do the very best for us. As well easy upgrade was made. Even reception area smells beautiful, besides nice and relaxing decorated. Thank you so much to Amary, Bessy and Mark in the reception. You are all some stars!

The room was okay. Location was great. But everything is negated by the charge that was put on my card on the day that I checked out. When I called the hotel, they said it was for the mini bar. Did not touch anything from it. Contacted the manager via email. Haven't heard back from them. Now here is the kicker. The incidental deposit is usually just a hold. The hold did no fall off, it was charged. This is theft. It looks like all of this is their "MO". I should have heeded the advice of the other reviewers. Now, I'm left to deal with this with my credit card issuer. No one should have to worry about false charges.

The service has been so great! Making my stay in Miami such a nice experience. All of receptionists have treated me so good and welcome. I had the pleasure to meet Gabriela today and she is so kind and gave me the best recommendations. Thank you to the hotel team for such a great service.

Nice hotel and the staff were very friendly and informative. We were upgraded to a much bigger room with a kitchen and a living room that made our trip even better! Very close to the beach and the major streets. However, if you drive, they do not have parking for the guests. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place!

This is a nice boutique with a great helpful staff. Excellent customer service. The room had a slight moldy odor. The shower has the half glass which has never been my style. It's walking distance from the beach and many food options. Be forewarned you've got to go outside and into the restaurant for ice. Overall though, I enjoyed my stay.

The walls are thin, so I had to ask to move my room for a quieter area which worked out the second time. You can’t adjust the heat or air, the front desk needs to do it which was weird but the temp was set at a comfortable temp for day and night so it wasn’t a problem. I had great service. When I wanted to sit by the pool to wait for the time to leave, Dariel took my luggage up on the roof top and he set his alarm for when it was time to leave to be able to come and carry my luggage down. He was super friendly and very attentive. I appreciated his willingness to help as soon as I asked, such a gentleman. They accommodate what they can.

Floyd really made our stay at this hotel unforgettable! He goes above and beyond for all guests, and is always happy to help in any way that he can! All staff was nice and pleasant, but especially Floyd and Steven. The hotel is clean, has great amenities (like the rooftop pool and in house bar) and is a 5min walk to the beach. Plenty to eat and do in a walking distance. All the guests were even friendly. I will definitely be staying here again in the future !

If you're looking for a relaxing stay in South Beach, the Riviera Hotel is the perfect choice! The rooms are comfortable and it’s minutes away from the beach. But what really makes the Riviera stand out is the amazing service from the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful, but special mention must be made of Floyd, the concierge at the front desk. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and helped us plan our days in Miami. We had an amazing time at the Riviera Hotel and we can't wait to come back.

I enjoyed staying here! I thought the rooms were clean, private, quiet and the design of the hotel was unique. I also enjoyed the private rooftop with a pool where I relaxed. My friends and I also had great drinks at the bar with our nice waiter Alex. He was super nice and funny and made our drinks great. My favorite thing about this hotel was how close of a walk to the beach was as well (est 5 min walk). We were able to walk to the beach and hit the CVS right across the street.

I stayed at the Riviera hotel and I wanted to say thank you for the great stay. The room was big spacious and clean. But the best, thing was the kind crew. I want to give a special thanks to Daniel who worked in reception. He helped me so much, answered every question, and solved every problem. Always willing to assist and with a smile. I had a delightful stay at Rivera Suites; the staff was exceptional. Despite arriving before my check-in time, they efficiently guided me, offering information on the nearest luggage storage and food options. While waiting for my room, they granted access to two pools. The rooms were impeccably clean, well-furnished, and the mini bar was a pleasant surprise. Alicia and Gaby provided outstanding service, enhancing my overall experience. The rooftop pool was especially fantastic. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to a strip of restaurants and convenience stores, all within walking distance, added to the convenience and enjoyment of my stay.

Great location (10 minutes walk to the beach), the rooms are clean and spacious, and above all, the service was amazing. We arrived too early for our check-in time and the manager noticed that we had luggage and kids and let us check-in very early. He also gave us an upgrade. The whole staff is super friendly and they always have a smile on their faces. I would definitely come back the next time I’m in Miami!!

I stayed at this property 10/27 thru 10/29/23. I had picked another property but saw they had roaches so I went back online and saw this one. Walter was great from the time I walked in. Very professional, explained everything and then they upgraded my room with kitchen and den. The room was beautiful. Nice and clean, smelled great. You are literally 5 min walking distance from the beach. You could even text the front desk with questions and they got back with you quick. This place was great. I will be back.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a weekend and my stay was incredible. The employees are very friendly and professional. The hotel is always impeccably clean and organized. The pool is wonderful, The food and service at the restaurant is simple the best. I will definitely stay again to rest and have a great time. I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

I stayed here for a night for my husband birthday. When we arrived we got upgraded to the penthouse suite. And that room was awesome! I had a wonderful time and I cannot wait to stay here again! The room and staff and decor and environment of the hotel was wonderful! And it was a bonus that it’s only minutes away from the strip of ocean drive. This was so dope and I cannot wait to come back. Had an amazing stay! The staff was super helpful, Mariel and Frederick made sure I was happy throughout the entire trip. They were able to get me my room early, after arriving early from a morning flight. The room was clean and had all the essentials. Lots of light. Would definitely stay there again.

For the price, this hotel was nice! Staff was very helpful! Shout out to Giovanni for being AMAZING and very helpful. Very convenient location and parking wasn't too difficult. My only complaints are the door always seemed like it wasn't secure and lighting in the room could be better. I'd definitely stay there again though.

Staff- The staff at the front was very friendly and helpful. Fredrick at the FD was awesome and did his best to make me and my family happy and gave a lot of great advice. Rooms- there are 3 buildings- one with suites, one with balconies and one regular without suites and balconies. I had a suite, there was a sofa bed included. Bed was comfortable but they had no smart TVs. I did have hot water but no matter how much we tried the bathroom flooded after each shower. Floor boards were damaged and my room doors were also defective. It included a Kitchenette with a microwave and mini fridge. Parking- parking garage 2 mins walk and it was $40 per night til 1pm and it includes in & out privileges. Food- several restaurants were in close proximity and affordable. There was also a convenience store and CVS close by. Pool: rooftop pool was warm but dirty by the time we went, I suggest visiting early rather than late after everyone. We had a good time for the night we spent and would go again but hope they renovate the facility.

Fantastic stay during the weekend. Mathew and the hotel staff were incredibly attentive and kind. Our stay was better than we even expected. Miami can be a rough place but it was good to have the Riviera as home base.

Stayed here twice 2 weeks back to back. Nuria is a great front desk person and everyone there was very welcoming. I love the decor and the rooms are pretty clean and well decorated. Not too far from everything everything going on but far enough to not be right in the center of everything. Lots of things in walking distance like the ocean Ave strip and much more. Overall Great place for the price. I even had a little self photo shoot in the hotel because the decor is so dope.

I was very impressed with this hotel. Check-in and check-out process was extremely easy. The room was very clean and everything looked great. We had all the amenities we needed and more. The location is good, many restaurants nearby, and a 5-minute walk from the beach. The location is a little sketchy, so be careful at night but that is normal for this area. Really enjoyed my stay here, and was very pleasantly surprised.

The staff was phenomenal. The manager Mark took amazing care of us from the moment we arrived, ensuring the perfect suite for our stay. The location is wonderful. Steps to the beach and outdoor markets. Easy Uber to South of Fifth. The complex itself is cool and eclectic! There is a great little bar with free happy hour drinks. It also has a beautiful rooftop with pool (the perfect space for sunrise yoga!). We loved our stay and would definitely return :)

I enjoyed my stay. The location is great, my room was huge with its own kitchen, living room and separate bedroom. The room was quiet even though it was close to the pool. The staff was all very helpful even though they were very busy. Mark and Gaby were exceptionally helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be the lack of tv channels. I would come back :)

I love this property. I ONLY ever stay here when I visit Miami/South Beach. I started coming here in 2012/2013 and sometimes visited 2-4x a year. I love this property because its really well-maintained, the amenities are nice, I love the location in that its close to the strip but calm and peaceful. The suites are absolutely beautiful. The front desk Associate Gabby was so sweet and helpful today. I really have the best experiences here!

From the moment of arrival, the check-in staff were ALL super helpful! They made sure I was happy with my room (3 buildings to choose from) w/ rooftop pool! GREAT Cuban food, and a super artsy atmosphere. Walking distance to EVERYTHING. Ask for Blanca. She made sure to print off all my docs for travel and I am very impressed! THANK YOU RIVIERA SOUTH BEACH!

The hotel is adorable, clean and the bed is super soft and comfortable. you can just sink into the down pillows and duvet. They are very accommodating giving me a first floor accessible room with a cute balcony. Although they did charge me the $250 pet security deposit even though it IS NOT legal in Florida. We were in a hurry to get to the beach to watch the horse show I didn't have time to educate them on Florida law. Hopefully they refund it as promised and don't charge me for something silly like dog hair. Maybe the management staff will see this review and look the laws up themselves. And then the next service dog user won't be charged. They have happy hour with Vodka punch and right outside of our room was a cute bar with live entertainment. Everything is right here within walking distance. It is making for a very nice weekend.

Very nice boutique hotel. Perfect location, with walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Hotel might have a special deal with American Express as we got an excellent price per night verse other hotels around. Customer service is amazing everyone welcomes you with a smile. Room was very clean and ready upon checkin. Will definitely stay here again.

It was a good place to crash for a couple of days but wasn’t the cleanest. The whole hotel needs upgrading and more staff. We got many eye rolls because we asked for towels and shampoos for the room. But they upgraded us to a larger room since the whole hotel was empty and they asked for a good review… it’s somewhat close to the beach and has a couple of pools so that was nice

Wasn’t sure what to expect based on reviews but I definitely have to give this hotel 5 stars for the price and value. If you have unrealistic expectations then you should either pay more and stay at newer hotel or perhaps not stay in Miami at all. The Riviera was a great value for my group that stayed there. It’s an older hotel but is has great eclectic charm and the rooms aren’t overly outdated. Beds were very comfortable, great A/C, nice shower and it was quiet every night for us. It’s in the nicer area of South Beach and has lots of great spots with in walking distance.

This hotel needs to be updated. The hot water barely gets hot. It’s a leak inside the shower. The floor tile is cracked needs to be fixed. The carpet in the hallways needs to be replaced it’s very dirty. It is not the experience I was looking for. This is my first night here and I’m ready to go. Your charging a arm and leg so therefore renovate the place. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

If I could give a higher rating I would. 10/10 all around. From the moment we checked in the staff was more than welcome and accommodating. They upgraded our room, every day our room was cleaned to the absolute cleanliness. We were supplied with everything needed for the pool and beach. There is an amazing bar and restaurant with cocktail hour and great food. On the last day we lost our keys and revived nothing but the best help to get us on our way home. We will be staying here every time we come back to Miami Beach! -Hailee
