Stay away!!! We enjoyed dinner with our children in front of our room. At about 8.30pm a security guard came and in a very rude tone said that we must immediately get out of here. This scared our children very much, and shocked us all. We asked him to explain why he behaves this way, to which he referred to some rules of the pool. (I attach a photo with the rules of this hotel). They don't say that we can't be in the pool area after sunset, only it says we can't use the pool itself after sunset which we didn't do. Then the security guard called the guy from the front desk, and they continued to threaten us with raised voices. They said that we should sit in our room, and if we do not immediately go to our room, they will kick us out of the hotel. I want to note that every evening before this, hotel guests sit on the pool area and enjoy drinks and food. I have never seen such a terrible attitude and disrespect for guests in any hotel!

If you are looking for a sad faces and people rolling their eyes to you, you are on the right place! First, I got in and the front desk staff was sitting and sit they were throughout our questions about our check in. No hello, No greeting.. all I had was rolling eyes and zero carisma. I know that sometimes working with people is frustrating but I work for customer service for at least 7 years and my personal problems always stayed outside my work. I politely ask if we could do an early check in, since I had few flights working before coming to this place (I’m a flight attendant). The girl kept it in silence and told me only: “come back at 2 and we will see”. She gave us some paper and said nothing else so we had to guess that nothing else was needed from us and we have to leave to return at 2ish. Once we were back at 2:30 we went in and asked if she was able to work something out.. she look at her co-work in the back, rolled her eyes one more time and said: 3pm only. After getting the room they asked for a card for the security deposit and he didn’t want to take my card because it was not a major bank? (Apple card, which is served by same as Chase). Really don’t come at all and Please don’t treat people like this, it was very uncomfortable and a terrible experience as I have never seen before 🤷🏻‍♂️ Plus the tv is like …..

my brother and i really enjoyed our stay here. the room had everything we needed, the pool area is nicely kept, and the happy hour at the sister hotel was a real selling point! location is fantastic as you are just enough off the main strip of south beach that you aren’t being awoken at horrible hours by partying, but the party is in a very easily walkable distance. the check in was easy, and other outdoor spaces were greatly enjoyed. we are considering another trip to south beach soon, and will definitely return here also, a tip for all visitors, the miami botanical gardens are within a 10 or 15 minute walk from the hotel. it is one of the best botanical gardens i have yet visited, and by far the best on the east coast with the exception of Washington. HIGHLY recommend a visit

The only accurate information about this hotel is the location. First night at apartment no hot water.Advert says daily housecleaning is incorrect this only happen every 3 days. To get a fresh towels you need to walk to front desk with your dirty ones. The windows at the apartment none opens. Upon arrival at check in a $100 damage deposit is collected . Refundable on check out.Check out time no inspection to the apartment were done but yet the damage deposit not reimbursed due to smoked on the apartment. As non smoker and never smoked I find this very bizarre.

I have a Dec 4 night stay at their 2 bedroom apartment . I was initially apprehensive about the stay after I read about past reviews of cockroaches and rude staff. My experience was nothing like that . The room was clean and the stay comfortable . All the staff I met were extremely friendly . The front desk manager Jose was extremely patient and welcoming . The location of the hotel was perfect- near to the beach, free trolley bus stop nearby , walgreens a stone throw away. It was extremely value for money. I am normally a super critical person but I am really happy about the stay . I went expecting the worst (based on other reviews) but was super happy with my stay . It’s more than adequate and comfortable for a budget hotel

Awful place! Avoid!!! We had bugs - I still have bug bites a week after coming home. Totally destroyed our last days in Florida. Loud AC, lizard under sofa, no coffee filters, hair dryer or tissue. The biggest cockroach I have ever seen in our room. Staff did not respond. Asked for cleaning - got it our last day. Awful location. It is very run down and very very very dirty.

The idea of the hotel is nice, it's in a beautiful area and the outside is very pretty. But looks can be deceiving, once we stepped foot into our room it was nice at first. Until housekeeping stopped coming. They came only once throughout our whole stay. We stayed for around 3-4 days. Not to mention we found a few cockroaches outside, we didn't leave any windows open yet we found a cockroach in our room. It was pretty big in size & disgusting. This lady from the front desk was very disrespectful and rude as well.

Our stay here was beyond excellent! Customer service was great, a special thanks for Jessie and Chris who went above and beyond to assist us with any requests we had! The location is very good, just a few minutes from the beach and everything is within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted by the warmest and most professional staff. However, one person stood out among them all - Chris, the front desk representative. Chris's outstanding service left a lasting impression on me. His attentiveness, knowledge, and genuine friendliness were truly remarkable. He went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect. Whether it was providing valuable local recommendations, accommodating my requests, or promptly resolving any concerns, Chris consistently demonstrated a level of hospitality that is rare to find. Thanks to his exceptional service, my experience at the hotel was truly unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend Chris and his remarkable dedication to anyone seeking an exceptional hotel stay in Miami Beach.

We stayed in August 2022 for 3 nights. My family, including three kids, booked this hotel because it had a pool and was walkable to the beach and restaurants in Miami Beach. There was also supposed to be fully functionable kitchen. Here were the issues for us: the place smelled overwhelmingly like mildew. We had roaches in our bathrooms. The place reeked of pot, this was so overwhelming, I couldn't say which was worse, the pot smell or the mildew smell. The wall air conditioning units were so loud we had to shout to hear each other clearly. There are only a few parking spots available for ALL of the guests, which made some others fighting for the spots aggressive. I had someone shout at me when I tried to pull into an available spot that they were "saving" it for a friend. Of the three nights/four days we were there, I was only able to get a free parking spot for a half day, and this was after much driving around. The staff were sympathetic when I complained to them, which was kind, but didn't actually help the parking issue. Their advice was to just park somewhere and get a ticket. All of this made for a stressful, uncomfortable trip. Thankfully when we had to return to Miami a few weeks later, we stayed in a different property and had a totally different experience.

Roaches in the room, no hot water, the faucet practically fell of the wall while trying to turn on the shower, the floor was soft and felt like it was going to cave in and the toilet was incredibly loose and rocked whenever anyone sat on it. There remedy? Put me in another room. Wouldn’t refund any of the money as per their policy, switching rooms was it. The room I was given was in such terrible condition that I can’t believe it was even rented in the first place. They’re worried about their occupancy rates and not your experience, so proceed with caution. I even took the front desk employee up to the room to confirm everything I’d said and all they would do is give me the information for “booking” claiming they had no authority to do anything. I left Friday night and had the rental through Sunday morning. Again, proceed with caution, you won’t get anything when they fail to meet the most basic requirements of cleanliness and quality.

We had a 2-night stay at Tradewinds Apartment Hotel. We found multiple cockroaches in the bathroom as well as the kitchen and living area. We also noticed them on the bedsheets and had to move to a different room in the middle of the night. I advise to avoid this hotel at all costs! The bathroom shower head was very weak as the faucet is broken and most of the water is running out of the faucet. The water is quite cold and does not heat properly. As the faucet was leaking, we heard the water dripping all night and could thus not sleep. Moreover, the kitchen cabinets are dirty and it is very noisy outside. It is hard to sleep.

Having read some of the negative reviews beforehand, we were quite nervous about staying at Tradewinds. But we needn't have been, as it's was incredible value for the money. They very kindly let us check in early, the suite was absolutely massive and the location was just a couple of blocks from a great stretch of Miami beach. The kitchen has all the basics (bar a spatula), the lovely lady at the front desk was always there to help and the pool was well maintained. Sure, there was some scuffing here and there, but you won't get better for the money on Miami beach.

Booked the hotel as I woke up w a fever on my last day in Miami for Art Basel It was then diagnosed as COVID. Called within 24h to let them know and instead of refunding me (with covid test provided) they refunded only $140 out of $700 so they kept $560 to cancel my reservation! When we emailed them our COVID positive test results they just responded to stop HARASSING?! Unbelievable. This is illegal. Will be making sure they will refund this money and been reported to the Miami City. Besides acting against Covid regulations these people have no ethics at all. I hope nobody books any of their properties they don’t deserve to gain any profit with these low morals. Making money on people health shows the low level of this company south beach hotel group. Will report this everywhere.

I had a very frustrating experience with this hotel, so I wanted to alert others, especially as Omicron worsens and travel plans are liable to change easily. In late December, I booked the hotel through Agoda.com for a few nights in early January. By December 31st, to take every precaution before traveling, I took a COVID test and I unfortunately tested positive. While I was asymptomatic, I didn't want to put others at risk by continuing with my travel plans. I called the hotel on December 31st and explained the situation, and was told they couldn't issue a refund or do anything for my reservation, and to call a different number on January 1, the first date of the booking. When I called the following morning, I was unable to reach anyone at all for a long time, and when I finally reached someone was told to email the hotel's reservation group who could likely take care of the problem with no issue. I immediately sent an email again explaining the situation with my positive test result to both Agoda.com and the hotel itself. The email response I got was that the hotel's policy is that they cannot make any refunds or cancellations, with no acknowledgement that I only canceled due to a confirmed positive COVID result. I wrote back but never heard another word from the hotel, and Agoda has continued to say they cannot help directly. I really feel that a high-end hotel such as this should have a much better and fairer policy when it comes to cancellations caused by COVID-19. Essentially this hotel is encouraging anyone with COVID to go ahead and stay there regardless and potentially put other guests at risk. I sincerely hope that recent guests haven't been exposed to COVID due to this hotel's ridiculous and irresponsible policies.

We had a great family stay at the Tradewinds Apartment Hotel in Miami Beach. The Art Deco style of the hotel was charming and the apartment was spacious and well-equipped with a kitchenette. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the beach and Lincoln Road with plenty of dining and shopping options. The pool was a hit and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and a special thanks to Jose. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Miami Beach.

We traveled 3 1/2 hours to discover the reception had no record of our reservation. We showed the manager our confirmation email, but even then he made us call the reservation number so he could talk to them, using my phone, in order to confirm our reservation. The confirmation email was not enough, even with all the details in it. Long story short, the reception ended up arguing with the reservation specialist over who needed to fix it. Finally, all they were able to do was cancel our reservation and promise to send us an email with instructions on how to request a refund. We still have not received the email. We did not get an apology from anyone. We ended up having to drive 3 1/2 hours north to Melbourne where we found an available room as near to the beach as what we had intended when we booked with Tradewinds in the first place. Customer service is nonexistent. The whole experience felt like a bad dream. We just couldn’t believe there was such a break in communication and the process.

My stay at this hotel/Apartment was nice ! I liked it . Only thing that turned me off was that my room kinda smelled funny and the tv wasn’t as clear to watch but rather than that it was a nice room. I loved the whole homey feeling . Living area was nice with the whole dining room set up 🙂

STAY AWAY. We stayed at Tradewinds in Jan of 2022. It was meant to be a week long, but on the first night, we found cockroaches climbing the walls in our room (I have a video I tried to upload). In addition to that, my mother in law had an allergic reaction to something in the room, I assume it was mold. We went down immediately to the front desk to tell them what happened and to check out of the hotel. This is where you learn the true nature of South Beach Hotel Group. The front desk claimed they couldn't do anything about the check out, but we had to call reservations. We called reservations, and the person told us they also couldn't do anything but they would send an email. No one, no manager, no call center, no one could help us. They offered us a different room, which we had to take since we didn't budget for two hotels. The next morning, we waited for the manager to call us. She didn't...but the front desk did and told us that we would have to pay that night, but the rest of the stay would come back to us. We asked for it in writing and once again, they said they don't have access to do that. It continues on like this. For the next five days, I tried to contact the hotel manager (Gabriella Fluerairu), but not response back. Every time I called the front desk, they said they couldn't do anything (yep, no access again to any funds through their computers) and I'd have to reach out to bookings/reservation. Called them everyday too, and guess what they said: They couldn't do anything about it, and I have to call the front desk. I continued to ask for reservations general manager, but they wouldn't connect me to their manager (twice this happened). I've now connected with City of Miami tourism to file a fraudulent charge against this hotel. This hotel has NO ONE who can help or do anything. Beyond all the above, the hotel has rat traps outside the rooms, it's very worn and not nice looking at all. Super dirty too. You were warned, take your chance if you want. Want to learn more, google South Beach Hotel groups - this has happened to others before.

There were pros and cons with this apartment hotel. I went here to celebrate my birthday. They do not offer early check in and upon arrival I had to end up paying an extra fee I was not aware of that would be due at the hotel. The hotel also does not hold luggage. My flight was early so I had to wait til closer to 3pm to check in. The staff is ok the only one I would give 5 stars to is Angie she was very helpful and understanding. The rooms are very clean I really enjoyed the room. The beach is close walking distance and so is the mall and many places to eat.

Worst hotel ever. I have stayed in many hotels worldwide. But this was the WORST EVER. It's INFESTED with COCKROACHES in the rooms. The staff is rude, uninterested, slow, incompetent, and unfortunately a bit dim-witted. Perhaps it used to be an okay hotel in the past. They don't seem to know the word 'custom' and there's no point in complaining even if you manage to get the only email address where you can send feedback. But with this astonishingly incompetent management that likely made wrong hires, making them look like a joke in the hotel industry, this hotel is clearly spiraling downwards. As a guest, you're much better off elsewhere, trust me. Any other hotel you choose will be a much better choice than this

Hello, This was my 7th time visiting Tradewinds and for sure I’ll be coming back. It’s a lovely clean place to stay, close to everything. The staff were amazing, especially Jessie who was extremely helpful and professional when I needed anything. Thank you Jessie and Tradewinds staff. Lenka

Great hotel! Was in Miami for the weekend and this hotel is a perfect location/price option at Miami Beach. Also, I want to thank Chris and Jose for their exceptional customer service and welcoming experience! They were very responsive to any questions during move in/move out and suggested many attractions, besides ensuring a comfortable stay.

Honestly don’t know why they have low ratings…this place is awesome maybe one of the very few places to stay at like this in the Miami south beach area especially! The concierge was very friendly once i arrived they made me feel welcomed….the suites are amazing it’s like your own little place for your stay…very clean and they have a laundry mat on site which was awesome…room service was great the outside area to hang out in the courtyard is cool and in front of the hotel…parking in front of the hotel is free across the street is metered i will most def stay here again !!

Stayed for a week. The pool is very small. The apartment was little old. A lot people smoke even they say it was non smoking hotel. Some people literally smoked in the pool. The only nice manager was Rudy, the others weren’t really doing their jobs

Ten stars would not even be enough. This Hotel was our home for an extended stay and even though I will be back soon it was hard to say goodbye. Christopher, Jessie, Manny, Jose and Angie. No words to describe our morning laughs and heart to heart conversations. That said from the moment my partner and I checked in with the usual room requests for pool and first floor, we were taken care of. The entire staff, pool people, gardners, maintenance, housekeeping and security everyone on. a consistent basis went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I feel that so many milestones happened at this amazing property I will never forget this place and will return to it again as soon as I can. Goodbye for now Tradewinds, see you again soon.

What am amazing experience! We booked this through a third party app. When we arrived we took a bus from the airport and once we got to the main strip.. we walked over the bridge to paradise. Outside we sat under the palm trees before checking in. The inside lobby was beautiful and the staff members Chris and Angie were patient and friendly. I loved the cool water stand. Our room was clean and staged like a Caribbean resort. Although there were lizards all around we didn’t see any in our room area..well any big ones. Room service was prompt and kind. The last day we did see a bug or two that’s the reason for the 4 stars. Overall we would visit again. Smooches!

We stayed here for several weeks while we waited for our condo plus we stayed for 10days last March. The rooms r large, and comfortable...the beds in both our rooms were comfortable. The front desk is professional and friendly. The pool is refreshing, and the grounds r well kept. Parking in the south beach area is tricky however there's parking on the road for a fee or if lucky, over a dozen free spots out front. The pictures r a real example of the large property complex...it worked very well for us over 3 stays of 21+ days...thanks! Any minor issues were dealt w immediately. This couple enjoyed their time here...nice happy hour at sister hotel a few blocks away

After a long night flight from SFO with my mom, we were welcomed at the desk by Sebastian, Manny and Christopher. After seeing that we were tired and exhausted from our trip, they made everything possible to get us our room ready as soon as possible and we were able to check in by 12:30PM instead of 3PM. Such a great service! My mom and I really appreciate it guys!

First time here in Miami! And it was an overall amazing experience, especially at Tradewinds Apartment Hotel. Chris at front desk was super helpful and available when needed. My friends and I had a late flight and Chris was able to accommodate us for a later check out time so we wouldn’t be left carrying our luggages for a longer period of time. Highly recommend coming here for first time visitors to Miami! I’ll be sure to be back. Thanks Chris!

We booked on the fly after missing a connection flight. We loved our stay, the water is very hot and the apartment style was great for our family of four. Close to the beach! Lots of iguanas and other lizards my kids loved. We saw cockroaches outside, but it’s Miami and it’s moist, where else would they be? We never opened any windows, so nothing came inside. Very cozy, old school. Great price. Front office has strong perfume smell but you won’t be there long. Didn’t hear any noise from the neighbors but we chose to stay upstairs to avoid any noise. I would stay again.

This property is extremely unsanitary. We booked a room for Friday 09/02 and were welcomed with roaches and a rat after going shopping for the weekend. When we spoke with the front desk, they were not surprised. We were offered a room change which we declined. If its already roaches in one room there are more on site and the rat was the definitely disgusting. We were provided with the managers name, LUCIA, who still has not responded to out concern. I would not recommend anyone stay at this property.
