Long Post: I would not recommend staying at the South Beach Hotel. Regarding the actual facilities, the air-conditioning in the room is locked at 72 degrees which makes the hotel room rather warm, especially in the evenings while trying to sleep. The roof top pool and bar has limited hours and closes by 7pm each night. On one of the days, a brief thunderstorm came through around 1pm. When our group tried to use the pool around 3:00pm, the rooftop pool and bar were closed. While the front desk did re-open the pool after us questioning why it was closed despite the storm clearing out and the radar being clear for the rest of the day, they sent the bartender home so was unable to re-open the rooftop bar. The lobby and front entrance were under construction while we were visiting. While this is not necessarily complaint worthy by itself, when compiled with the rest of the experience, it is noteworthy. Our hotel room also looks to be outdated compared to the pictures on the website. Upon check in, the room had several pieces of masking and scotch tape around the room on the walls and ceilings which were clearly left from a previous visitor who must’ve decorated the room. In addition, I found the hotel policies to be less then transparent and felt like we did not receive the accommodations that we paid for. I found their website to be very misleading. My group of four booked the Junior Suite with the couch and two full beds. We paid for four people to stay which included four resort fees. Upon check in, we we’re issued four complimentary breakfast tickets which were good for two breakfasts. When we asked the front desk, they informed us that our reservation only came with two complimentary breakfast tickets per day despite having four guests. We decided to wait to use two tickets on our last day there since the four of us had an early flight. Upon trying to use the tickets, we were told that we could only use one ticket per day. These policies were never explained at check in, upon asking for clarification earlier in the trip, or are clear on the hotel website. The website is misleading as it references the complimentary beach chairs and towels that are provided at the beach down the street from the hotel. Upon arriving at the beach, we were told that only two chairs and towels are complimentary with our room and that we’d have to purchase two additional rental chairs and towels if we all wanted one. Between the facilities issues and misleading amenities that were supposed to be included in the resort fee, I would not stay at the South Beach Hotel again.

Staying here was one of the highlights of our family’s multi-state vacation. Spacious rooms with a magnificent view, modern amenities, and luxurious toiletries. Breakfast was sumptuous – we looked forward to it everyday. Wonderful service. Definitely one of the best hotels there is in this state. Wish we could have stayed longer!

It was my first time here, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of services. Front desk people were very courteous, and the staff are warm and friendly. The rooms are clean and well appointed. We had lots of fun on the roof pool and the hotel was just a few minutes from the beach. We had a great stay.

We always look forward to our family trips and recently we checked in when to our surprise it is one of the most family-friendly hotels in the area. It is very close to the beach, only a walking distance. The staff are also very welcoming. Our rooms are clean and the roof pool is majestic.

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. the hotel is grand and beautiful. the rooms were spotless, sanitized like home. I highlight the location of the hotel to be able to go to the central places of Miami

This hotel has a prime location, close to the beach and other desirable attractions in Miami Beach, including dozens of great restaurants. Front desk staff and bellhops were pleasant and check-in was simple. However I will not be back. Hotel policies were not transparent, almost to a point that they felt hidden. Contrary to their website, the resort fee only includes two beach chairs and towels per room. Extras must be purchased. Also very disappointed to learn that a reservation for four people also only includes two breakfast vouchers per day. They also wouldn’t allow us to use two vouchers on the same day... The pool didn’t have great hours and was even closed one day. Don’t touch the mini bar in the room, cost us $8 in tip for one item. This fit the general theme of not being transparent and over charging for everything. Only thing they won’t let you pay for is AC, the thermostat is locked at 72 degrees and it feels warm. The hotel also looks nothing like the photos on the website, I understand there’s construction taking place but the lobby and courtyard looked rather uninviting. These policies and their lack of transparency with them lead to a less than desirable stay that points to serious issues with the management of this hotel. Looking forward to staying elsewhere next time.

We booked the hotel for one night but ended up extending for another two nights as we were enjoying it! It was so beautiful! We couldn't have asked for more in terms of the facilities on offer, and our stay was excellent value for money. Excellent location! The hotel was super clean!

Great location, friendly check in and check out. You have to check in next door at the Boulan. Everyone at the hotels were extremely friendly. Good breakfast, awesome rooftop pool. They are doing some renovations at the lobby. However, we haven’t had any issues. Workers were very careful and we heard no noise. Very close to the beach. We’ll be back again.

The room did NOT add up to the picture! Our first room, the door wouldn’t open, so they switched us to a different room. Also, there’s no receptionist at the hotel, so many guests were confused about where to check-in. You have to go next door to the nicer hotel. The layout of the front/outside is also misleading. There were no chairs like in the pictures. Anyways, the halls smell and are very poorly lit. Our room had a lovely HOLE in the ceiling, my bed was springy as can be, we had to ask for clean towels because we were never brought clean ones after two days. Nobody ever came to clean the room. Our view was of a lovely DIRTY outside. No blow dryer. HORRIBLE LIGHTING in the rooms as well. My friend and I worked our butts off to be able to stay at a nice place. We paid $760 for four nights. That was literally the WORST HOTEL I have ever stayed at and for that price? What a joke. The management doesn’t care. Was told two different times a manager would reach out to us about switching rooms or solving our problem. They only took off 2 resort fees for our mediocre, unpleasant room. Oh, no microwave either. Hope our money goes to fixing the hole in the ceiling for the price we paid. Pool at the shared hotel is beautiful, but that’s about it. This hotel is “ghetto” as some other friends we made there put it. :) Please do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

For us it was all very good. Incredibly room, clean bathroom, perfect bed size. Its a perfect place to rest but also to have fun with a wonderful location for staying at South Beach. We went everywhere walking. We will probably come back, thanks to all the staff for their warmth

We had problems from the very moment we got there. They tried to make me pay another $800 for the room and incidental hold when I had already paid the $400 for the room. (Still a debate on whose fault this mishap was hotel vs travel company. Both are blaming each other like children.) Then we get to the room. The TV never worked. We asked them to look at it three time and they did twice, both times claiming it was “the satellite” even though no other rooms were having the same problems. We requested to be moved to a room that was actually working and they said they were “full” (even though I hardly ever saw anyone else walking the halls where we were). The shower leaked HORRIBLY through the poorly sealed glass doors, to the point the half of the bathroom floor would be soaked by the time you got out, and the smoke detector was covered with painters tape when we got there. The lobby area of the building we were in smelled SO strong of weed. Not like coming from one of the hotel rooms but like it was coming from one of the staff only doors around the desk. Eventually the smell would get so strong it would travel all down the halls. I don’t usually mind the smell of weed but it was so strong it felt like you were choking on it. House keeping was fine. They cleaned daily and did a good job. The restaurant in the hotel was good. Wait staff, while pretty slow, were very kind and accurate. I feel like the slowness was a lack of staff honestly. Overall, 10/10 would not recommend and will never return. WAY over priced for the true value of this hotel. (But then again, welcome to Miami. So I expect that to an extent). Finally, the doors to the building do not even lock! There is a key scanner that looks like you would need to scan a card to get in. Just like any other place, but the lock in the door is literally gone. So anyone can walk in or out at any time.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for walking around the heart of Miami Beach! Our room was immaculate and beautifully decorated, the bed was super comfy and the shower was amazing. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Hotel is at the heart of the city. All attractions are at a walking distance, so convenient to exploring, great access to restaurants, bars and shops. The staff throughout the hotel that we encountered were so friendly and helpful, they are a real asset. I felt absolutely comfortable and very safe. The hotel truly contributed to my excellent stay in Miami Beach!

I enjoyed the easy access to the beach, food, and bars. The place is nice but I find the drinks are not reasonably priced..to expensive. But it's a great hotel. love their rooftop pool and bar. nice relaxing vibe up there,pool always very clean. housekeeping on point, they did well.

Wow!! This hotel exceeded my expectations! The interior design of the hotel is amazing, stylish and clean! Amazing pool area! Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Great central location. Hotel staff were friendly at checkin and check out. Would definitely recommend!

The room was okay besides the serious water damage to the bathroom. The best was comfy. The South Beach hotel seemed to be under renovation and had no staff or front door lock. You get what you pay for when you are only steps from the beach. If your driving consider if other hotels have parking included in their rates. We paid 80$ at a near by parkade for 2 nights.

Fabulous hotel. It was beautiful & luxurious. Everything was well kept & the staff was amazingly friendly & accommodating. The views & location were wonderful, everything we needed or wanted to see was nearby. We couldn’t be happier about our stay there. We will return.

The location was excellent, right in the heart of everything. The service provided by the staff was friendly and attentive. The bed was comfortable and big. The cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, and the overall vibe was relaxed and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a convenient stay.

Great staff, great service. Clean but could do with a slight renovation. Looks good from the street, beautiful architecture, art deco style. Hidden charge, no prior knowledge. Was all paid for, but took $700 per room before we could stay! Only get $400 back, $300 service charge. Should have been sorted by agent....

Love the welcome and concierge service that Victor provides. Always so efficient and knowledgeable about what’s available. He is very accommodating when you have questions. This was my first stay here. I plan to come back. Sergio really made my dining experience exceptional. I looked for him a 2nd night, but everyone needs work life balance. Thank you both for making my vacation to enjoyable.

From check-in to check out the staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel location is excellent, a short walk to the beach, major tourist attractions as well as a multitude of restaurant and shopping options. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. The location was great! Plenty close to the beach, food places, parks and entertainment. The decor fell right in line with the Art Deco Historic District that this hotel is located in. We loved the posh artsy but quirky ambiance! More than that though were the way Martina and Pierre accommodated me and my children when our flight was delayed, or our return from our cruise was earlier than our check-in time. I'm so grateful that this hotel and the people working it made our first trip such a lovely experience!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The bed was so comfortable, shower was excellent. Pool area is awesome. Location of the property is really convenient. I’m so happy I stayed here, such a beautiful hotel.

Clean room. Good customer service. Great location. Parking is horrible. The best option is a garage around the corner from the hotel. $40 per night & no elevator. I was sweating, having to walk up 5 flights of stairs to get to my car each day. If you're planning on driving, do not recommend it.

This has got to be one of the most memorable hotels for me and my partner. We have been coming back and forth to this hotel for the past few years and I can say that management is doing a great job in maintaining and even improving the facilities that we enjoy while staying here, especially the rooftop pool. The rooms are clean, the staffs are very courteous and accommodating, and it is impressive how they consistently make us feel welcome and comfortable. Even the complimentary breakfast is delicious!

The design of the hotel is stunning and you can tell so much care went into even the smallest details. Every member of staff we encountered were all so friendly and kind, they truly went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could possibly be. The location is amazing!! we loved our stay!

The rooms were large and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable, and linens were top of the line. The staff are really courteous, friendly and warm. The service is beyond excellent. The location is perfect. Everything you’d want to see or experience is within walking distance!

If you're staying in a hotel anywhere in South Beach then be prepared for noise at all times of the day and night. Unfortunately my original room was on the ground floor near to a local bar and with single pane windows you could easily follow conversations outside for hours (way past 4am!). I asked if I could move rooms and the lovely lady on reception arranged a very quiet room for me on the second floor. You need to remember that most hotels here are quite old and poorly soundproofed in general so if you're a light sleeper like me then choose wisely! Overall the condition of the hotel was as expected (needing a slight update but clean nonetheless). The location is fab and the rooftop pool at the Boulan is paradise.

The environment full of plants makes it a very nice place. They cleaned our room everyday and left new towels too. Located two blocks away from the beach where they offer beach service and chairs. Exactly what we need! Thanks all the staff for being so helpful.

This hotel has a privileged location and certainly met our requests. Super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent beach service. The pool bar and jacuzzi at the rooftop were wonderful, and the view was very nice. Really enjoy our stay.

Great price-quality ratio. Beach service include towels and chairs. Amazing staff at the hotel and also at the beach. The property is not noisy at all despite being located in the heart of South Beach. There are bus stops nearby, the beach is only a few blocks away, and you have lot of restaurant options.

This hotel is the worst hotel I’ve been too. Not worth the “4” stars. The staffs are so bad and rude with their answers. There were multiple times we’ve requested for room cleaning and to get the room phone fixed. No one did anything about it. Apparently is it’s hotel policy to not clean the rooms. Thats very unhygienic for the guests. They cleaned my room on the 4th day of my stay and the house keeping took a personal item of mine from my bed by mistake and i never got it back, no one could locate it and I haven’t heard from the manager yet. I didn’t have a pleasant stay at this hotel. Parking was off site as well. We need to go find the staffs to get fresh towels they don’t even come and drop it off. VERY Unorganised and POOR management skills. VERY UN PROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!! I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. It doesn’t look anything like what they show online. I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. Service and staffs are so bad, rooms aren’t that great and even the restaurant isn’t that nice. Food quality is bad too. They need to get better staffs and and to be more organised to give better services to the guests. I’ve had such a horrible experience.

The rooms are clean, and the staff at the front desk is courteous. The staff is helpful and convenient to communicate with. They made sure that we had a pleasant visit. The hotel is in a good spot, close to the beach and restaurants. We will absolutely visit here again.
