By far the WORST hotel in Miami, if not Florida. Rude and lazy staff. Dirty rooms. We rented 2 rooms, 1 room had no door handle and no way to lock it. We had to put a chair in front of the door so we could hear it slide across the tile floor if someone was trying to open it. We called and asked that it be fixed and the front desk said it wasn't their problem to call someone else. The other room was filthy and the smoke detector had wires hanging out with no battery in it. We asked to be compensated and they knocked off $7 for a $169 room. Definitely the low point of an otherwise wonderful vacation. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

I waited inline as my husband unloaded the car and loaded up a cart. my husband waited with the cart and I waited in line. We waited over an hour and when it was my turn my husband handed me his id and the reservation info. When he joined me after waiting with the luggage, Tim pictured accused us of not waiting in line. When we explained my wife had been in line over an hour Tim refused to check us in. When my husband insisted Tim literally tried to punch my husband over the counter. Luckily he is very short and he missed. We had to call Airbnb security to get a refund and are still considering filing charges. Avoid this place for your own safety.

This place is all but a façade, valet parking seems cool to have at a hotel until you find out it can take upwards of 30 minutes for them to bring up your car. The lobby looks like a hotel you would find at Las Vegas but then you step into the rooms and it seems like nothing has been changed out and the bathrooms have rust and mildew. First time in my life where I felt dirtier AFTER taking a shower. Sure it has a nice view and is right next to the beach but the rooms seem to be 50 years old and they try to pinch you for money where ever they can.

This was the worst experience. Rude horrible staff. My mother, sister and myself rented an Airbnb. Got there at about 1:00 pm. Went to see if we could check in early and my mother to use the restroom. I went to the front office staff who didn't not greet me or speak until after I spoke. I asked if we were able to check in early. The lady behind the desk looks up and puts three fingers in the air without saying a word. I looked at her like what does that mean?? The guy next to her said no, at 3:pm. My mother asked for the restroom and again the lady just points to a wall. We had NEVER been there before. Pointing to a wall upset my mother and myself. Their lack of customer service is unacceptable and rude. We leave and come back at 3:00pm as we were told. We wait in one line for over 40 minutes before being moved to a different line where we wait another hour and a half. It took two hours to get a key and be told to go to bay 22. Where is bay 22? No communication. No direction, seemed to be no computers either as they hand wrote every check in.?? We finally get a security guard to tell us to push the letter M on their "Smart Elevator " to get to bay 22. The front door at bay 22 had to be lifted up in order for the door to lock. The place was clean but... the furniture was broken, mattresses sunk in the middle, floor sunk and uneven, bathroom rust, shower head needs to be replaced. The fire alarm went off at early o clock with no communication from staff or management. No fire dept or police. Our children were terrified. With all of the above the place had ROACHES..FUC**N ROACHES!! We packed and left after the fire alarm. That had to be around 8:00 am. We did not stay the two days we paid for we were there less then 24hours. I will never step foot in that building again and do not recommend. It was a disaster from the beginning. Valet claimed to not speak or speak just a little bit of English. I asked them to allow me to get into our vehicle to get my niece's phone. The guy that drove me the 4 feet under the building said he was not an Uber.. Just the worst experience ever..Valet, Office staff, lack of Management. HORRIBLE!

The whole experience was a nightmare. From Parking in the beginning all the way to the end of our stay. To our original booking not being the same room (paid extra for ocean view)… We then came back after the Miami/bucks game to find our door just unlocked… To then security coming to our room at 11p.m. To tell us we were in the wrong room and that WE had to move someone else was staying in the room just walked into our room. by midnight we were moved, to still not the correct room and to top it off no hot water…so we didn’t even get to shower in the morning… of course it’s no one’s problem. And no absolutely no help from any staff. Don’t waste your money here. This place is a joke!!!

I booked this hotel on Airbnb. Beware if you see this listing on there “oceanfront view apt with free parking” you’re greeted by valet when you get there, which ended up being one of the worst experiences I’ve had because one of the employees pocketed my keys then you go to your room and the door is destroyed. The floor has holes. There’s bugs in the closet and it looks nothing like the pictures that were advertised.

Never would even think about even walking into this place. The word is, it’s like a big college dorm. Rooms are absolutely terrible. Smoke filled hallways. The structure should be condemned. Actually the city of MB just condemed the underground parking garage. Talking about parking. I heard it usually takes over 1 hour for valet. When you walk by the hotel you literally have to walk through a cloud of smoke (weed) The crowd is absolutely the worst. Get the point.

The large black woman at the front desk Friday night tried to sell my 19 year old son marijuana. She was also incredibly rude to me and my husband on top of that. Not sure what kind of security/front desk people are hired here but I will never recommend this place to anyone. The only competent people here were the valet.

Dirty, old, smelly. The lobby looks nice …then you see the rooms.🤢 We left . We weren’t comfortable staying there. There was hair in the freezer and silverware drawer. We were grossed out. Staff was not friendly . Even if you just wanted a cheap place to sleep I’d still say No. We weren’t even comfortable thinking about laying on the bed. There was a hole in our wall. Everything was dirty and rusty. The pics are not of this place. It has to be a different updated location.

Something super shady about this place. Do not stay here!! It’s dirty, smells like **** covered in old spice cologne, plumbing is old, check-in feels like booking into Rikers Island prison, and it has bad juju. Better choice for same price point or pay $50 more a night for a 4-star hotel instead of this motel vibe.

The view is nice but they have two things I don't like at all: 1. The valet parking: be prepared to waste at least 30 minutes every morning waiting for your car. 2. The elevators are usually slow and you have to wait between 5 and 10 minutes

This is the absolute worst place I’ve ever stayed in. Our Airbnb hosts, Jessica and Martin in room 927 seemed nice but stopped responding. The actual building is filth, run down, feels unsafe and we wouldn’t even dip our toes in the pool. They gave us 4 towels for four people for 4 days. All the ice vending machines were ripped out of the wall. Candy vending didn’t work. The little store was filthy and so over priced it was sickening. Check in was horrible, unorganized, people were fighting. The cafe and restaurant weren’t open. Or maybe they were but no one was there. We checked out early and went to another hotel. It’s a total scam they way the listing appears to what the place actually is. I wish there was a way to report this building. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Rooms are very nice, nice view and pretty clean but SERVICE is DISASTER! Those people are very awfull and rude, only one lady was very nice on check in but the guy with security jacket is disaster, with that attitude you can't sork anywhere, yes I know there are some rules that has to be followed but there is nice way to implicate !

It is obvious that the management or owner cares about one thing - profit. The exterior and public areas like the lobby look great, but the rooms are a disaster. They're old and worn out and any repair work is poorly done. Our room's electrical outlets were so worn out that when we plugged a charger into them, they fell out. It made me wonder about the safety of the ancient wiring. The cheapest and poorest woodwork possible. The toilet leaked water out on every flush. I'm not one who believes that everyone in this country has to speak English, but your employees who interact with a largely English-speaking clientele should at least know some English. Behind the desk are not people to receive you, but instead are security people who are rude and could not care less about customer needs. The only saving grace that raised my rating to two stars was the restaurant and bar, The Blue Gin. Food, bar and service were excellent at a reasonable price.

This place is a perfect spot to stay at! There was a pool and beach access making everything so close and easy to get too! The front desk people were very polite! Everyone hates on the valet but they worked their butt off to get everything going! They work for tips so please be sure you tip them well! If anything the wait for the elevators was much longer than valet.

We stayed at The Castle, Unit M16, at the end of January 2023. The ocean view from our balcony was awesome! The unit layout was good for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. The beds were good and the kitchen was decently equipped. We had adequate towels, TP and soap for the 4 days we were there. However, the building is older and the unit could use some updates - the workmanship was poor. The floor was definitely not clean. The kids' white socks were black on the bottom after the first day, so we all wore shoes the rest of the time. If you're looking for luxury, you might want to look elsewhere. But, overall, this was a fair, affordable unit for our group to be able to stay right on the beach.

We stayed here for 2 weeks, the location is excellent mid way between the iconic South Beach and North Beach with the free trolley stop right in front. The blue gin lounge has good food and the tiki bar at the pool is spendy but good. (auto tips at all places) the rooms were a little run down but clean and comfortable.. our room had a beach umbrella and chairs. The kitchen is a hot plate, coffee pot and Microwave. All in all a very good value.

The room was dirty, had cockroaches. Couch and chair were so dirty we wouldn’t even sit on them. Fold out beds were nasty. Very disappointing. Not much to do around the hotel. You will have to drive everywhere and the traffic is horrible.

Rented unit 1131 thru VRBO. Everything in pictures was pretty much accurate. Look up the history of Castle Beach Suites Miami. You will see it was owned by Hugh Hefner at one time. Haha! But read the history and the issues the building has had over the years. That being said, unit 1131 was pretty decent, cannot complain, really. The bathroom is not spectacular, but it has a newer toilet. The tub was fine... it's really just a shower because you can't fill it up. The shower rod is old, it's quite rusty, so I just couldn't look at it. The kitchen is very small but had about everything needed, except a stove. It has a 2-burner hotplate. The faucet at the little sink needs some more chaulk to hold it down. Besides that, everything else was fine. The living/dining area was fine. No carpet, which is nice. The couch is a hideaway bed, but I didn't need to use it, so I didn't pull it out. The closet in that area has 2 beach chairs & a beach umbrella, and 6 beach towels, which all were nice to use. I didn't have to supply my own. The bedroom area has plenty of room with a big closet. The king-size bed was comfortable and had no signs of bed bugs (believe me, I checked!). We stayed 5 nights and my back or neck did not hurt, which was a huge plus. I used the provided pillows, and they were also fine. The windows are big, and shades worked. You can not really open the windows a lot, even though they open some after you figure it out. Probably for safety reasons since no screens, and that we are on the 11th floor. THE OCEAN VIEW WAS AWESOME! The 2 ceiling fans are good and quiet, work nice. Overall, the unit was good for 2 people, and IF you aren't expecting fancy. Oh, the only thing it does lack in... are plug-ins. Because of the age of the building, the building/safety codes back then aren't the same as now. Bring a few electric cords. As for the hotel/building itself... again, read the history of the building. It could definitely use a more current upgrade in decor. I also think the building is for sale again, or under contract. The WIFI worked fine, no issues. The elevators worked fine, the valet people were all very nice, the front desk person was nice for check-in & check-out. I'm not prejudice against people from different backgrounds, because that what makes the world go around, but I felt we were the only ones who could speak English, so at times it was hard to communicate. So have your Google translate ready! The pool was NOT in working order, which was okay by me because I can swim in a pool in Texas. I came to Florida for the beach! The beach is right there, and it was beautiful all the days we were there. The beach entrance has a shower area, so you can rinse off sand before heading back into hotel area. There is a restaurant, but we didn't eat there. There is room service too, but we didn't take advantage of that either. The prices didn't look bad. Overall, it was nice. We couldn't complain. We would stay again.

Great hotel to bad that i did not find a breakfast option and in the hotel the possibility was there. We stayed 3 days and no sheets were changed or towels for that Matter. However there were beachtowels in the room. Rooms were clean on arrival.
