The food was great but The waiter was rude and didn’t take our order right. I order 7 taco and and we got 6 which was ok but when I asked him that why there is 6 I ordered 7. 3 for my boyfriend and 4 for me. He started arguing that no he ordered 2 and he was keep saying that. I understand mistakes happenes. But why you have to argue ?? And he was also very very rude when he was taking the order and he wasn’t paying attention. Even though his service wasn’t good I still tipped him. Even though he didn’t deserve it.

Came here for lunch after seeing someone eat it on the beach. The street corn was amazing and the burrito was enough for myself and my wife. It was very fulfilling and stacked with meat and rice. The portions are very big and the place is very cute. The location is close to everything. The bathrooms are SUPER clean and spacious. Was very surprised to that. Would recommend for anyone!

Small vs medium size drinks— literally we enjoyed everything so much. We are spending our Honeymoon on south beach, and look for great vegetarian options— this is just that!! Also, lightweights be warned— the small is enough. My husband opted for the medium size and he enjoyed it very much. I got the small and I’m glad I did because it was plenty for me. This place has good sized portions— and great appetizers. Definitely a must if you are in south beach!

WHERE: Miami WHAT: Mexican food with a great vibe Great fast service. Fantastic accommodation for our large group that came for dinner with no booking. Food and drinks were great. Vibrant and fun venue. Outdoor seating & Indoor seating (with AC) several large screens for sports too. Personally loved the street style corn, cheese quesadilla and beef taco. Tip: only 1 bathroom each for Male/Female so dont wait until the last minute:) Female toilet was large and clean

This review is not for the Catalina Hotel. It is strictly for the Taco Taco restaurant. The Taco Taco restaurant is part of the Catalina Hotel and Beach Club brand. The hotel has 3 buildings and one of which houses the restaurant, too. I arrived at the hotel the day before Thanksgiving 2022. I was told my room was in the Taco Taco building. I would find an elevator in the restaurant. It is worth noting that the Catalina Hotel is heavily decorated. It feels like you're walking into Havana, full of texture, color and art deco. The sun is setting, so it's also dark. I arrive at the restaurant and I don't have a clear sight of the elevators that lead to my room. I've been traveling all day from Washington DC. My flight was diverted to Tampa due to fog, so I am exhausted and I need to conserve my energy to go find parking. I just want to get to my room, unload my things and then go find parking for my car. The restaurant is practically empty. Instead of expending the little energy I have remaining on looking for this elevator - I don't know if it's inside our outside - I apologetically interrupt the gossip between two employees to ask if they could help me. I believe her name was Yasmina or Yamila. I know she was the hostess, because she tells me this very rudely. She literally takes a step back, pulls on her name tag so I could read it, because clearly I didn't and she says, "I am the hostess!" Like, why would you be asking me about anything related to the hotel? Shs says, "How would I know where that is!? Ask the manager!" She then points to her, rolls her eyes and walks away. The fella she was talking to looked embarrassed for me. In all my travels and it is worth noting that I travel alot, I have never had someone be THAT rude. Not even in places like Europe or Turkey where people aren't as kind. It was like she wanted to make me feel small. It was so rude. My first thought was the hostess of a restaurant should be welcoming, inviting and helpful. Helpful. Not rude and disrespectful. A hostess should also know everything about the freaking restaurant, to include where the elevators are regardless to where they lead. I thought, you need to stop telling people you're the hostess because you're not living up to the expectations of your role. Needless to say, I walk into the restaurant and I see the elevators right in front of me. However, as I was sharing my experience with another Catalina employee as I was headed to happy hour, I was told that Taco Taco employees are known for being rude, nasty or unpleasant. That is why they always recommend guests go to the sister restaurant (Maxine's) instead. All I could think was: the Taco Taco folks most be friends with or related to the owner to feel that safe and comfortable being rude and mean to people. Right then and there, I made a pledge that I would not be visiting Taco Taco to eat at all..They could be the last taco restaurant on Planet Earth and I wouldn't go there. I don't need any more rude experiences with the Hostess with NOT the mostess.

We visited here on Saturday and the service was okay. The waitress had poor customer, seemed very impatient and nonchalant when we tried to ask her questioned. We order quesadillas and chicken wings. The wings say crispy but they are baked. The flavors were very good the garlic saracha wasn’t even saracha sauce. They did have hookah but we didn’t order any. I went to use the restroom, it was nasty wish I had’ve seen the bathroom first I wouldn’t haven’t eaten there. Just nasty.

The place is cute. It’s located within The Catalina Hotel. The food was just ok. They don’t offer complimentary water or chips. For 2 waters, chips & queso, shrimp quesadillas, tacos and a steak salad. It included a mandatory gratuity and a service charge. We were also told you can’t split a bill and could only pay with one card. We saw another table pay with 2 cards. The ambiance is nice but considering the plethora of restaurants in Miami, specifically with Mexican cuisine I think there are better options.

Food was okay and service was good. We went late so we were able to participate in some their happy hour specials. We ordered tacos, corn, chips & guac, and many drinks. The portion sizes for the drinks were big. A medium size could be shared with two people.

I couldn’t have asked for a better meal. And the service was wonderful. My group and I came on a rainy day and we were pleased with a great energetic waiter named James. He was phenomenal, he recommended meals and corrected our order if he thought we could improve our order at all. It was pouring and he was the sunshine to our rainy day. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

OZZY is the man! I had such great service, the most excellent margaritas and nachos to die over. There really isn't anywhere else in South beach to get good Mexican food and a nice outdoor vibe. Especially near the beach!

Great south beach location just minutes from the sand. The food was great, enough that we came back twice! Ozzy took great care of us, the service was excellent and quick! Definitely will be back to see Ozzy again!

James was an amazing host! He made recommendations for drinks and food that was rally good. We even took our drinks to go because it was so big. Nothing wasted.

The food and drinks here are delicious! But the service my husband and I received was every better! Our waitress Minerva is ABSOLUTELY the best waitress there, and she makes sure that you feel welcome and very well taken care of. My husband and I will definitely be returning to Taco Taco South Beach next time we are in Miami!

Great spot to stop for lunch, even on Christmas!! Large portions that can be shared, friendly staff, fun decor/atmosphere. My kids loved the nachos and tacos!

Wings are crispy and mango flavor has a nice kick. quesadillas have a good amount of fajita meat. Happy hour is a good deal for tacos but Wish the tacos were on corn tortillas instead of flour

Really enjoyed Taco Taco during our visit. I love the large outdoor sections. The atmosphere is chill and laid back. The indoor dining is much smaller but a lot more intimate. The lighting is much darker. You have to scan the QR code for the menu which isn't an issue for us, but for others it may be. Service was a tad slow but when we were serviced, it was good. We were checked on only one time from sitting to payment. The food hit the spot. Korean bbq tacos and the Korean bbq burrito were on target. Freshness with every bite bursting with flavor. The food was too good to nurse... just eat the food and enjoy. Very large portions. I recommend.

I usually don't give 3 star reviews but this place is very basic, taco bell gives you more complimentary toppings, like guac and salsa than this place. The paloma wasnt very good, couldnt finish it. Sorry won't be back.

My favorite part of the meal was the beans and rice . I got the shrimp 🍤 tacos and they were not very good. The pineapples mixed with the vinegar was not good. The bartender was pretty nice though and my Drink was good.

We enjoyed the take out order. Very quick, less than mins 20 min wait. Once we returned to the hotel the wings were tasty along with the nachos, qasadias and tacos. I will go there again but next time I will eat on the patio and and enjoy a couple glasses of margaritas!

Decent food, but not sure if it was good enough or if the quality/flavors of the food are up to par with the prices. Definitely expected more from a $5 taco. Location and ambiance doesn’t make up for the price either.
