I do not recommend this place. The food was just okay but that wasn’t my main concern with the restaurant. We got 3 lunch plates and no drinks (just tap water), and somehow the bill was $70 for just that. The service was slow and they never came to check on us, however they feel it’s appropriate to add a 20% gratuity charge? And they seemed kind of secretive with the bill, had to specifically ask to see the bill, had to specifically ask to see the itemized bill. When asked about the service charge, we were told that they would have to get the manager to take it off to adjust the amount. To my understanding you tip 20% for outstanding service (though I make it a habit to tip 20% either way). This was not outstanding service and I don’t think it’s fair that people are not given the option to tip what they want. And what about the people who didn’t notice the service charge? They might accidentally double tip. Just shady practices to me and I will not be back.

Nice place, large menu. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Nice staff with very good service, food did not take long to arrive. All the food was very tasty and not very expensive. But during Sukkos they had no sukkah??

Grand Cafe is a special place. It was one of the first places I had a date with my wife and it was one of the first places I ate in Hollywood. The food is super fresh and you get a ton. Pricing is a bit...more expensive than other places of this kind but the quality of the ingredients and portion size are fair. The Rosemary Vegetarian is a must. My wife got their vegetarian wrap and it was super flavorful with a soft center and crispy outside. What really drew me to this place was the positive vibes. The owner is so friendly and down to earth. The location is hard to reach or I would be here everyday. Do not miss out on one of the greatest food Gems in the city.

I am visiting and will be very disappointed that this restaurant is not regularly available once I leave. I had the best salmon. It was perfectly cooked with an amazing flavor. The sweet potatoes were excellent and my husband really liked the eggplant. The service was impeccable. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Went for breakfast with my family. Ordered food for all of us and my food came cold and incomplete. Waitress never came back until it was time to pay (food was delivered by other staff). She didn't even bring my coffee until after I got my meal. When I expressed my overall experience with cold food etc. She said that she was ok with the complaint because it wasn't her fault then proceeded to take my payment with the added 20% auto-gratuity... Very disappointed overall with service, quality and ability to correct a very big wrong.

This is the perfect little brunch spot. I've been eating here for years. The menu is full of delicious and unique dishes that you don't see in other places. You can find most things from breakfast to dinner all in one place. There's even a special pizza menu. I really enjoy the bagel sandwiches that they offer. I've never seen bagels so light and flakey. Then they toast them in the panini press to make your sandwich. I love it. Most of the options here are light and more on the healthy side but you can substitute a salad for french fries if you prefer. Go early to avoid a wait for a table. It's no secret the food is great.

Below average. Portions were nicely sized. Service was friendly. Food just wasn't very tasty - we had a pasta, truffle fries, and a salad. All quite below average.

Some of the dishes are really delicious. However the service isn't great. They charge me extra $3 for feta cheese which I have no problem with but then barely sprinkled any into my sandwich which is ridiculous. My husband asked for his toast to be heated up and didn't get it back. Over 30 minutes later still didn't get the toast and the breakfast dish was freezing. Either way the scrambled eggs I make at home are better than at this place. If you plan on going here I'd get the mushroom "truffle"less pizza and the tuna poke bowl are great. But prepare yourself to repeat yourself several times and to have extra patience with the waiters. Not the greatest service and most of the food is okay some dishes are good. I guess they don't have standards since there aren't many kosher restaurants as competition 🤷

The restaurant is great.. Nice little seating area outside. However, my husband's waffle came cold. we asked if there was a way they could warm it up and when it came back it was barely warm. I got I think it was called the salmon omlette, in the picture it shows an omelette type egg on the bottom a few pieces of sliced salmon and some raw Onion and capers so I ordered that and it came with the salmon and cooked onions inside which gives it a completely different taste so I asked if I could have it The way it's shown in the picture. The omelette on the bottom the sliced salmon with raw onion and capers on top? So he takes it back, takes the salmon and cooked onions from the inside of the omelet and puts it on top and then brings it back (then brings me the cream cheese that was not originally given that I had to ask for. ) Beware that they also automatically add 20% THEN and then have an option on their little computer for you to add additional but they don't tell you that they add the 20% so keep your eyes open. Our specific waitress was very nice but I will never go back

This place has great food. The dishes were well presented. The service was very very slow. The out door service allows for a comfortable covid safe dining experience.

Very nice outdoor seating! The food was pretty good, the salad could’ve used a bit more seasoning. Service was good and price is great.

Happened upon here by accident with a friend. Delish! We could have ordered a dish to share the portion was so big. Service was great. Removed a star for atmosphere because there is an outside smoking section and depending on which way the wind is blowing, the non-smoking section still catches whiff. Gross. Otherwise this place was on point and would definitely consider coming back! Bonus that it's in the same shopping center as the Grove kosher market!

Great service! I was helped making a decision on what to eat...there was so much to choose from and the aroma of food was amazing! With the help of a kind lady behind the counter I decided on a veggie plate, mixed vegetables, potatoes and onion, hummus and a cucumber tomato delicious salad mix. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Fresh and flavorful food. Very clean gem in Hollywood.

Came here to try out this 5-star place during a business trip. I was amazed by the service they provide here. On a Tuesday around 12:10pm, it was packed with a long line waiting outside this cute place. We were waiting outside when the owner took out some free samples of sweet potato pies and tomato-based soup for us to try. He was so passionate and cares so much about the customers. This makes the customers happy and also his employees love to work there. Food is amazing! They offer a good selection. Actually we came back for a second time. Ordered lamb for the first time and vegetarian for the second. Personally I prefer the vegetarian. It is more favorable and not that dry.

Soup and lasta were tasty. Service was mediocre. Gave 1 star because the server added automatic 20% tip to the bill without saying anything about it prior to us sitting down. The menu did say they'd add 18% is the group was 6 or more. Not happy about this sneaky practice.

We had a breakfast for four and the bill came out to 98$. They also included their own tip for a party of four. Two of the plates were their basic pancakes and fruit. We were the only ones in the restaurant and we were not offered refills on our coffee till we were standing up to leave. My meal was tasty but too pricey for me to return.

I was looking for something fast to take back to our hotel room, to a working husband with a deadline. It's a walk through line and you get to choose from the food that is displayed. I was glad I had to get 2 meals so that we could share and try more things. We got the salmon - delicious! The rosemary vegetarian: awesome flavor but the breast part was a bit dry. All the sides were equally as delicious, my favorite was the sweet potatoes. The flavors all had such depth to them. I would highly recommend this place if you're in Hollywood!

This place is great but doesn’t have many basic options. They are all too fancy and extra for someone just wanting a basic egg sandwich. And also their basic egg wrap is highly overpriced among other things on their menu. But the food tasted decent overall.

Service was mediocre, almost non-existent, I have a feeling it was only to us, as they were very good with everyone else. Food was acceptable, it lacked flavor as it needed some seasoning. Prices are quite high for what it is.

I really like this place. There is a good variety on the menu. Food comes quick, portions are good, prices are good, service is very good( thanks to Ali for that).

It’s no secret grand cafe is a one stop place for amazing food. Breakfast lunch or a late night dinner I enjoy all meals I eat out here and I keep coming back for more. I’ve tried more than half of the huge menu they offer and have never been let down by anything. From the simple bourekas and egg to the salmon over fried rice! Everything always tastes super fresh and makes with care and love. The waiters and servers are super polite abs professional and make sure you are happy. One of the highlights here Are the in house gourmet made desserts which in my opinion are the best kosher dairy desserts in town.!

Good spot on the road to have a decent breakfast! French toasts were good and well done and the waffle was great and crunchy! The side fruits could be better. Staff little bit not into serving people, maybe little late at 11am we got there. The tables outside get all the smell of those smoking on the tables in front of the restaurant! Not pleasant eating with a strong cigar smell. The restroom was a disaster. No paper, no cleaning at all, dirty paper all over and the toilet really dirty. Billboard on the road was the reason we’ve stopped here. Average experience.

Nothing Grand about the Grand Cafe. This was my second visit to the Grand Cafe. The cafe had about six tables occupied. My wife and I ordered two coffees and two breakfast specials. We were enjoying the outdoor ambiance. After 20 minutes, the waitress asked us if we were ready to pay our bill. I thought she was pranking us, or I was in the Twilight Zone. We never received our food. The restaurant was not busy, and waitress was not apologetic, she did not send over a manager, and she did not offer to say no charge for the coffees. Also, they do not tell you that a gratuity is automatically added to your coffees. The way the staff handled us, simply says horrible customer service. We will never return to this restaurant. If I want breakfast before shopping at the Grove Supermarket, I will go to Kosher Dunkin Donuts which is a few blocks away.

Amazing kosher spot to eat at. It has both indoor & outdoor seating. Service is great. The menu has a nice variety of stuff to order. I ordered the salmon w rice & it was absolutely delicious! The portion sizes are really nice too, & so is the presentation.

The worst veggie burger I ever had! Everything was extremely dry, only two pickles inside and no flavor to the burger itself.

  • 2/5 William M. 2 years ago on Google
The food was just ok. Not much flavor. Don’t like that the put the tip on the bill and then expect a personal tip on top of it. After I paid and had my Receipt a different server asked me to pay again , like I was running out on the bill as I was leaving. No way will I ever return here . Overpriced cheesecake $11.95 ( who charges this craziness ). Don’t bother with this place.

We used to come here once a week. We like the food and there is a big outside sitting area which is great , but last time when we came the music was so loud that we couldn’t hear ourselves. When we asked to lower it they said the owner does not allowed them to lower it and it’s a cafe so it’s part of the atmosphere. If I need to scream in order to hear my self and my company then it’s defiantly not a relax place to come to and enjoy the food. Unfortunately I will not come here again.

The food in this place is quiet overpriced and the quality seriously lacks. They are charging $7 for a glass or orange juice and $14 for a plate of hummus, which is ridiculous even for south florida. The malawach and bourekas were honestly terrible, it seemed like the cook there doesn’t know what he is doing. Malawach was puffy, which it should be flat, however the bourekas were flat, which they should be puffy. The final bill for the three dishes, a cup of coffee and orange juice was $80. The only reason I am not giving this place a one star is because the Jerusalem salmon bagel was pretty good. If I ever go back to that place, it would be the ONLY thing I will order.

Great service on Father’s Day, it was 6 of us and we didn’t have a reservation, they sat us down right away. The food was delicious and the service was great.

We had a wonderful lunch today at Grand Cafe. There were seven of us who all enjoyed a delicious meal because there is such a wide variety of options available. My warm mushroom salad was great. Staff were friendly and accomodating. It was nice to sit and chat after the meal without feeling rushed to leave.
